Chapter 3 New Encounter

The next day we travelled further down the route. on the route, there were many Ice Pokemon but sometimes we found an occasional zigzagoon. on the fourth day, we saw a Beartic with three little cubchoo

I wanted to catch a cubchoo to sell off in the market to get some money but the presence of the Beartic prevented us

later that evening I decided to set up a camp on a camp point and decided to study the poke book

the book had many tips for beginner trainers and acted as a Pokedex providing moves that a Pokemon can learn and how to teach them so what he decided was to teach Froakie Icy wind which can lower an opponent's Pokemon's speed. this can help us deal with fast opponents

as the requirement of the move is to experience cold temperatures

I called out Froakie deciding to teach him the move

' Froakie, Fro"

Froakie looked around seeing no one he looked at me

" So I have decided to teach you Icy wind this will help us in dealing with fast Pokemon are you ready? " I asked

" Froakie, fro, akie" he nodded in determination

" Try breathing in and out rapidly...umm..and try to mix your energy in it..yes... it says here that if mist comes out of the mouth the surrounding temperature is fit for teaching Icy wind" I nodded my head absent-mindedly while consulting the book

after that we decided to train for an hour then we are our food

Froakie' a food is comprised of a mixed diet which had protein, Iron, calcium, zinc and Carbos, this will help better structure the body and increase attack, defence, Sp defence, Sp attack and speed. Prof Greta had provided them with enough supplements to last a month which is enough for the Pokemon

the number of supplements is very so that it won't cause illness and adverse effects

for the next three days we decide to focus on Toxic spikes and Icy wind while training Quick attack and bubble. we fought many wild Pokemon and even caught a Cubchoo with us who willingly decided to follow us

After a week of travel, we reached the end of the snowy mountain and arrived at the base

Deciding to follow the route to Riverside. After three days we fought both trainers and wild Pokemon alike trying to gain as much experience.

We also trained the Cubchoo too so that it could fetch more amount. the Pokemon was very cute with snot running down his nose and those puppy eyes which shone, usually the snot is a big no but the Pokemon just looked too cute with it.

the Pokemon had good fighting moves as well like sheer cold but the level of cubchoo was low which made its accuracy trash

that was why we decided to raise its level

before bringing him with us we had already talked about him being given to another person

at first, he was reluctant but agreed to go if the trainer is strong

days went by on the last second day of our travel we saw a Ursaring and Pangoro fight the fight was formidable with trees lying around

" The hell what are these Pokemon doing here " I cursed in my mind while diving behind a bush to avoid being spotted

the pokeballs of cubchoo were in my jacket while Froakie was on my head

" Froakie Fro " Froakie said trying to gain my attention as I hid behind the bush trying to see what was happening

" Quite Froakie we don't want to be found out " I whispered

" For, fro Fro. akie Fro " again Froakie tried to say something

" What is it " looking behind I saw two Pancham trying to look at us

" Uh oh " I muttered now that was bad luck

" Pan cham, pan, pancham " The pancham caused a hell of an uproar.

" Shh quiet down fellas don't do this" I tried to calm them down until I whipped up a Pokeball and balled the Pancham the Pokeball wriggled one then stopped

the other one went silent seeing me catch his friend but suddenly he looked behind me in fear

slowly craning my head backwards I saw a tall black shadow of a brown bear with its eyes glowing Red, now that he looked at it The Pokemon was taller than others of its race

Ursaring was at least seven feet or above

This must be an Alpha

looking back he saw the Pangoro lying behind with a log jutting out of its chest

I gulped

The ursaring grinned and used Hammer arm its arm glowing white as it tried to choke slam us

rolling to dodge I quickly jumped back to make some distance between us

It looked down and then Roared at us

" URSARING"

" quick use Icy wind " I shouted out

Froakie jumped down from my head and used Icy wind letting out a mist of icy wind

Ursaring was hit with it straight in the face making it stumble

I let out the cubchoo seeing that only Froakie can not pull it down

" Cubchoo use Ice wind, Frokie use Bubble and stay away from him with the quick attack"

The icy wind was a damaging move ass well as lowering Accuracy but it also provided cover for Froakie as long as it was used

Ursaring stumbled through the Icy wind trying to use Hammer arm where ever bubble came from but Froakie used Quick attack after every bubble attack while cubchoo tried to use icy wind after regular intervals

The ursaring was already tired from its effort from earlier

Froakie uses Toxic spikes which are scattered around the field hitting Ursaring making it poisoned. while toxic spikes are an entry hazard in the game but if it hits the Pokemon in real life it poisons the Pokemon

" Again froakie Cubchoo use sheer cold "

what I didn't anticipate was the ability guts

" URSARING, URSA" the treating let out a roar and charged towards us with a hammer arm

just as he was about to hit us Froakie appeared with a quick attack and blocked the hammer arm with a Power up punch

Ursaring with guts was just too powerful for froakie he pushed Froakie down to the ground

" Froakie fro Froakie " Froakie yelled in frustration

suddenly a blinding light engulfed him

Froakie's form changed as he grew up in a bipedal form turning him into a Frogadier

Frogadier is a whitish light-blue, bipedal, Frog-like Pokemon A dark blue marking covers its head and forms a three-pointed mark down its upper back. Its eyes have yellow sclerae, black irises, and white pupils. Its eyes protrude slightly from the top of its head and each backwards-facing-facing spike above it. It has a white bubble scarf, dark blue hands and circular toes, and white circular fingers.

Frogadier pushed back Ursaring's arm successfully pushing him back

suddenly Cubchoo who was preparing the sheer cold move released it hitting the Ursaring and making it freeze and faint

I kept looking at Ursaring's fallen body trying to get back to my senses

Frogadier seeing his job complete too fainted

I slowly came back to my senses after half an hour and returned both cubchoo and Frogadier. cubchoo was sitting with me trying to console me with him sniffling and sucking back his snot until he was returned

I pulled out another pokeball and threw it on the Ursaring

It starting wiggling

once

twice

thrice

with red light, the ursaring came out. that almost caused me to faint but seeing it was still fainted tried to catch him again

this time it was successful

I slowly walked to Pangoro's body It had died the time Ursaring stuck his body with a log

I took out the twig from its mouth and folded it in a cloth then placed it in the pangoro's entry in the pokebook

I made camp for the night and tended to Frogadier to heal him with potions and checked his moves

This was the only time I encountered Death this close to me so I decided to train my Pokemon harder than before

I pulled out my new team member Pancham

He appeared with a flash and looked around himself seeing Pangoro's body he ran to it and started shaking it as if to wake him from his sleep

" It is of no use Pancham" I consoled as I patted his head he looked back at me his face teary and hugged me. sometimes sorrow can bind enemies

so I decided to push forward

" Pancham I know what you are going through I know how you feel to lose a family member but this world is too cruel this world will try to break you down " he looked at me snot running down his face I looked down seeing my shirt covered in snot I internally grimaced but ploughed on

"you have to be strong stronger than Pangoro to beat your enemies will you accompany me to be strong Pancham" I placed my hand on his head

and kept looking at me

Frogadier limped near us and placed his hand on my hand

" Froga, Froga dier froga froga dier "

With determination in their eyes, pancham lifted his hand and nodded

"Then what are you waiting for give me a hand in digging a hole come on soldier take your sorry ass to work" I commanded

we dug a hole large enough for Pangoro this will provide a strength exercise for us

after the burial and a gravestone, we made our way to Riverside

how was it give me a review

Frogadier evolved as it was already a higher level

let us say he started at lv 7~8 because Lv 5 was too low for survival in wild and all Pokemon will not evolve level based but rather on stress or training

I didn't have anything in between the Riverside but Riverside will have some chapter so sit tight as we go on a bumpy ride fellas

I at first wanted to have him on the team but it will ruin the team formation soo good bye I guess
