Chapter 25: Another Evolution!?

A day after, Soul continues on his Journey to Saffron City again. This time he would use the ground that was created by Groundon to go to his destination.

Using his wheel function on his shoes, Soul skated his way on the road to his first destination, Vermillion City. After that, he would be going to Saffron City through Route 6.

On his way to Vermillion City, he would be challenged by various trainers and wild Pokemon. He would only use Charmeleon as the only Pokemon to battle them since it became close to evolving to its final evolution.

So in these past days, Soul went to grind all the trainers and Pokemons he could find and beat them with the only Charmeleon.

Unknown to him, these trainers were some of the best trainers back in their Pokemon School, so getting beaten by only a Charmeleon, even if they have a type advantage really hit their pride to the core.

Some even thought of stopping begins a trainer and go to a normal school and get a job, because of it.

While battling one of the trainers he, as one of their Pokemon fainted, Charmeleon's body begins to glow.

Soul: 'Finally, after all the grinding, Charmeleon would evolve. After this, only Anubis and Kadabra is the only one who missed their final evolution. The only one who I don't know if he would evolve is Anubis…'

Soul let out a sigh of his breath, as he could remember how much Anubis trained ever since almost all of his friends evolved and he didn't.

Soul also didn't know what to do, except to go with the flow and see how things will turn out, but he would definitely try his best to help Anubis to evolve.

Soul was at least happy that Anubis' mood got better after he took a ride on Noivern up to the sky.

This was to be expected, that they would evolve when they hit their limits. Soul hasn't use Charizard much in the battle, so he didn't get enough battle experience to evolve, but now Charizard has gathered enough battle experience and hits his limit to evolve.

Its a pretty good training place for Soul since there were so many different trainers with different types of Pokemons, so his team would be able to get experience fighting against different types of Pokemons.

Soul also has looked at the USB-stick that he got from Team Rocket ship. It didn't give much information that he wanted, but at least it gave him more clue on what the project is about.

It was some weird information he got to say at least. it was something about making Pokemon stronger using some sort of item, and that they should gather more Pokemons for the experiment.

Either way, he should get ready to infiltrate Team Rocket building for more information. For what he knows, maybe it was Team Rocket who was the one behind Project S.L, but one of the Team Rocket Grunt said that their boss, Giovanni was working with peoples with Project S.L.

He should be able to get an answer to all of his questions regards the Project when he arrived at Saffron City.

Somewhere else…

Inside a dark room, a person could be seen holding a phone on his hand.

???: I see… so do the league know about this?

The voice inside the phone became shaky when he heard it.

??? 2: W-We've don't know yet, b-boss…

Hearing this, the person's face became grim as he said with a serious and cold voice.

???: Find out everything about the incident. I expect a result next week. Don't disappoint me.

??? 2: Y-Yes!

The phone call ended as the person took out a wine from the wine shelf and pour it in a wine glass.

???: I wonder who is it that dare to destroy the ship. They should have some strong Pokemon, maybe I could use them or send them to the 'Project'.

Back to Soul…

Soul: Charizard use Metal Claw!

Both Charizard claws begin to grow bigger as it directly hit Golem from above, creating a large crack and dust came out of it.

When the dust was cleared, you could see that Golem fainted. The trainer opposite of him sighed and returned his Pokemon and gave Soul the money.

Right now, Soul was in Route 11 and was close to reaching to Vermillion City. It's been a week now since have moved from Fuschia City.

After a few hours of walking, he finally reached Vermillion City where there were more crowded than usual.

He went to where the Pokecenter is and asked for a room but was denied because there was none room left for him to rent.

Now he became even more suspiciously and curious. He went to ask Nurse Joy about why there so many crowds here than normal and she said that a week ago, some archaeologist has found an ancient ruin inside the forest from Route 6.

They have sat their headquarters here in Vermillion- and Saffron City. Apparently, there were some traps, wild Pokemons and even some scientists almost lost their lives in there.

Some gave up and left, others stay to try and find more about the ruin. Either way, the area around it is off-limit, so you can't just come and walk around the place like a tourist.

Hearing this, Soul was even more curious now and decided to look into this ancient ruin. He should be fine as long he's careful enough not to get caught by humans, Pokemons, and traps.
