Kanto Region, Route 1:

"Blue, Do you know why you lost that battle?" Samuel asked.

"Because my Pokemon were not properly trained," Blue replied.

"Ignorant fool, You lost because you refused to think about how the terrain would affect you," Samuel said and then turned to Red, "I enjoyed your battle a lot, Red. I hope you'll drop by the lab one of these days,"

"But Gramps, You never let my drop by at the lab," Blue complained.

"And you never will, You're undeserving of it," Samuel said and then turned to Red with a smile, "I will be awaiting your visit to the lab although you should make sure to do it before the 25th of December,"

With that, the great Pokemon Master left and walked back to town.

"I hate you, Red," Blue said before storming off.

Pallet Town:

Red thought about Prof. Oak's words and decided that he would visit the lab of the famous Pokemon Professor and Pokemon Master of the world.

It was 12:00 when Red arrived at Prof. Oak's lab, He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. He didn't bother to put on his trench coat since the Lab of Professor Oak was so close to his house.

As Red knocked on the door, A brown haired girl with emerald green eyes opened the door for him.

As they made eye contact, Red didn't even wait for her to talk before brushing past her.

She let out a grunt and watched him go.

"Wait, Do you have an appointment?" Daisy asked him.

"..."

The Fifth floor of the research lab contained the Research area of Professor Oak, This was where the best of his research took place and Red was excited to see it.

He always had a dream of being the Pokemon Champion but the side dream of being a Pokemon Professor was still there, especially since he had hunches about some evolutions.

Professor Samuel Oak was lounging in the corner, a coffee mug in his hands and his long lab coat hanging gloriously.

He sipped on a cup of coffee and then his eyes fell on Red, the figure of the black haired handsome boy etched into his mind.

He blinked for a moment before spitting out his coffee, a smile appeared on his face.

"Welcome Red," Samuel said, "I didn't expect you to show up so quickly,"

"Okay," Red said, "So you wanted me to come to the lab, why?"

"Oh," Samuel said, "You're a great trainer,"

"I think so," Red said.

"How would you like to be sponsored by the famous Prof. Oak?" Samuel asked causing Red to look at him in disbelief.

"Are you serious?" Red asked.

"Of course I am," Samuel said, "After all, a great trainer like you can't be on his own. You gotta have a big figure behind you in the big picture,"

Red contemplated on Prof. Oak's words, Would he become a stronger trainer if he had Prof. Oak behind him? 

He thought of the opportunities, not everyone had this opportunity to be sponsored by the great Pokemon Master. Some people would even kill for this.

As he was etched in his thoughts, Samuel chuckled.

"Who knows, I may teach you how to attract a woman? After all, Blue is spreading word about your failed attempt to ask Daisy out," Samuel said.

Red got knocked out of his thoughts as he stared at the great Professor.

"I accept but.. is Blue really saying that?" Red asked, clenching his teeth.

"Don't worry, as a student of Prof. Oak, This goes in your curriculum," Samuel said with a bright smile and light chuckle.

"This is the training chamber," Samuel said, "It has everything you need to train your Pokemon although real battle experience is the best, You can train your Pokemon's other aspects,"

They were inside a room painted white with a console at the right.

"There is agility training, strength training, speed training, special training, defensive training and a whole lot of other stuff," Samuel said, "You can start using them after the tour,"

"This is the ranch," Samuel said.

They were in the huge forest area behind the lab of the Pokemon Professor, apparently it was next to empty and only had strong and powerful Pokemon roaming in it.

"Ah, You might be wondering why it's almost empty," Samuel said with a hesitant chuckle, "I haven't actually started any research lately and the little Pokemon I had got sent to the labs of my colleagues,"

Red nodded, he understood what the great Pokemon Professor meant.

"Now you can release your Pokemon in here, Once I get those Pokemon back, Your Pokemon might spar with others," Samuel said.

"Okay," Red said.

"But I hope your Charmander competitive enough to disturb Charizard over there," Samuel said while pointing to a ten meter tall Charizard lounging in the sun near the lake, It was being lazy.

Red brought out two Pokeballs and clicked on their buttons, They opened up and revealed Pidgey and Charmander.

I'm taking things progressively, The real Journey starts in January so Red needs to be prepared, I don't plan on making him one-shot gym leaders but he wouldn't lose many gym battles as well.
