"Headmaster Leon! You in there? I'm coming in~!"

Without even knocking, Jax burst through the office doors coming face to face with an unexpected scene.

He only expected to find Headmaster Leon brooding behind his mahogany desk, alone. Instead, he saw the man standing…with a woman in his arms!

Surprised, Leon pushed the woman in his arms away. "Cough! Ahem. Jax, knock next time."

"Uhhh. Sure. By the way, who's that?"

"Um. Yes. Let me introduce the two of you. Jax, this is Sonia, my childhood friend. Sonia, Jax, a brat I'm currently teaching how to use aura."

"Hi, Miss Sonia. I'm Jax, the brat currently learning from Headmaster Leon."

"Haha. Yes, nice to meet you Jax, I'm Sonia, just a childhood friend of Leon's."

"So, what brings you to my office, Jax."

"OHHH! I had completely forgotten after witnessing that HOT sce-."

"AHEM!"

"-ne. Anyways, I want you to endorse me for the Gym Challenge. For various reasons, I need to beat a gym now and can't wait until I turn 10."

"I know you're a powerful aura user but…I don't know anything about you as a trainer. I've only seen a glimpse of you as a trainer from that small tournament last year."

"Hmmm. Then, I'll just battle you!"

With that bold statement, Jax had just issued the strongest trainer in the world to a pokemon battle!

It instantly spread throughout the whole academy and a small crowd gathered at the stage where this impromptu battle was going to take place.

"I, Sonia, will be your MC and preside over this battle. On my left, we have the challenger, Jax Skyborne! And on my right, the undefeated Galarian Champion, Headmaster Leon! Now, 3, 2, 1, BATTLE!"

"Brat, since this is only a 1v1 single battle format, I'll let you witness my strongest. Charizard, come out!"

"I knew you were going to lead with him. Lancelot, I choose you!"

As Lancelot graced the field, an intense sun ray beamed over the battlefield.

"The world is a wide place, brat. Let me show you my region's specialty. Charizard, Gigantimax!"

ROAR!

With Leon's signal, Charizard became way, way, way bigger with wings and horns now made of fire.

"Predictable, Headmaster. I knew you were going to use that and along with Gigantimax, you'll probably want to end things quickly with a G-maxed Flamethrower or something. Unfortunately, your G-max Wildfire doesn't work on a Fire-type."

"Heh. If you think Gigantimaxing is all about G-max moves, you're sorely mistaken. Charizard, show them why you're the strongest!"

"Lancelot, we're out leveled and out experienced, Circle 1. Hide yourself and don't do anything risky. Wait for your chance patiently."

With Lancelot hiding in the shadows, Charizard had no one to target. Or so Jax thought.

"Charizard, there can only exist shadows when there is light so, let there be light!"

With a Flamethrower, Charizard lit up the entire field revealing Lancelot from the shadows!

"Good, now rush over and use G-max Wildfire. Let's end this quick."

"Lancelot, Disable, then use Swords Dance (2) and Substitute (2). Protect (3) is useless against G-max Wildfire."

As Charizard was flying over, Lancelot, who had six-star SPD stat, out sped him and casted his moves first.

Finally within range, Charizard used his G-max Flare Blitz right on top of Lancelot!

"Shadow Sneak (4)!"

With a +1 priority, Lancelot was able to get behind Charizard and execute his move first! Even thought it only did 70 physical damage, now that he was behind Charizard, Lancelot was able to use one more move before Charizard could rotate around to deal with him!

"Bitter Blade (1), end him!"

With +6 buff from Swords Dance (2), which increased Bitter Blade's damage by 4x, and a Sunny Day from Orichalcum Pulse that increase its damage by an addition 33 percent, Bitter Blade (1) now did about 118.8 physical damage!

Boom!

As the move hit Charizard, a smoke cloud enveloped the two and spread throughout the field with wind flying past everyone, they all shielded themselves from the aftershock.

"Charizard, that's enough. No need to kill him even if your pride is hurt."
