"Ahem! While the boy's ideas are ingenious and very advanced from someone you would expect at that age, I can't say the same about his pokemon."
"HAHAHA! I can see why you had such high hopes for the boy. He really does remind me of Oscar when he was younger!"
"Cough! I knew he was an Aura Guardian, but I had no idea he also had psychic powers on top of that. Just having one of them is already rare enough but having both is too amazing a feat. From the looks of it, it seems both are at a relatively high level too. In all of my travels, I don't think I've seen anyone his age who was so proficient in using their powers. Heck, I don't think some teenagers or even adults could do what he did."
"Mhm. While my Borden Empire claims to raise exceptionally talented youths, I have never met anyone quite as versatile as that boy either. What did you say his name was?"
"Jax. Jax Skyborne. His name is supposed to mean merciful and gracious but…sigh. There was no mercy from his pokemon."
"HAHAHA! He's the one named Jax, why are you asking his pokemon to take after his namesake? Anyways, does that boy have a teacher? To be so proficient and without a teacher means that his talent is even more than the top Psychic of this century, Sabrina."
"From what I know, he's never had any official teacher. He doesn't even come to class that often and from what I heard from Professor Uriel, Jax spends most of his time hunting in Thora Forest."
"Interesting! Very interesting, indeed! If he's ever interested, tell him to come to Borden Empire. I'll find him an appropriate teacher. Maybe that one would be interested to teach him. While she may look cold, her heart is warmer than any others. If she had awakened as an aura user, I have no doubt she would have been chosen as an Aura Guardian."
"Oh? I see you also hold him in high regards. I'll pass along the message, but I wouldn't have my hopes up if I were you. He completely blew me off earlier. HAHA! I don't remember the last time someone had done that. Maybe since Doria? Anyways, shouldn't you go check on your daughter?"
"AHHH! I completely forgot! Excuse me, I have a princess to go pamper!" Summoning his own pokemon, Count Freiders rode off towards Nurse Joy's Hospital. Leon looked at his friend running off and shook his head. If only he had won all those years ago, he might be like his friend right now. In his own thoughts, Leon remembered a time when he was chasing after a certain blonde with eyes almost white. The world might know his as an undefeated champion, but he and two others knew differently. Coming out of his revere, Leon made his way towards his office to grab the egg he promised for the winner.
"AHAHAHA! I can't believe you did that! You must have been really made earlier when Frogadier used Taunt! But we definitely need to work on your dancing skills, Buddy! AHAHA"
Laughing his head off, Jax had long since summoned Vioarr again and was reflecting back on their recent battle. After every hard fight, the duo liked to take their time to dissect what they could have done differently or better so that they could grow as trainer and pokemon. The two were currently remembering Vioarr's horrible dancing rhythm as he moved arms and leg out of synch over the unconscious frog.
"HAHAHA! Did you see the look on the little girl's face when I was dancing over her pokemon? I'm sure she definitely wants to kill me! AHAHAHA!" As the two continued to joke around, Professor Uriel walked up to the duo after running around the whole school trying to find them.
"Ahem! I know you two are excited about your victory but please calm down. Not only did you run off immediately after the battle, skipping the victor's press conference, you didn't even receive your award yet! Can I assume that you no longer want the prize promised to first place?"
"Ahhh! How could I have completely forgotten about the egg!? My egg!? My Diamond grade dragon!? Lead the way, professor!"
Arriving at the office that he was just at this morning, Jax took a deep breath before entering it again for the second time today. The only reason he was nervous was because of how he had run off in the morning. Also, while battling Evelyn today, Jax noticed the monstrous aura that he had felt in the back of the homeroom last month watching his battle. Knowing that Headmaster Leon had been watching him battle and most likely saw the spectacle at the end of it, Jax didn't know if a Diamond grade dragon was really worth the trouble. 'Well, only one way to find out.'
Entering the office, Jax's attention was immediately stolen by the man sitting behind the same mahogany desk earlier this morning. "Hey, Headmaster! I heard that you have my egg ready for me?"
"Mhm, not so fast, boy. I have a couple of questions for you, first."
"Ummm. Sure. How can I help?"
"First, how's your mother doing?"
Taken back by the unexpected question, Jax was left speechless before his face turned sour. Although he had never met his dad before, from the way his mother spoke about him, Jax knew that his mother was still very much in love with him. While he figured that she must have had many suitors in the past since his mother was absolutely stunning, he didn't think anyone would go after her since she had a 6 years old son. Especially not someone at the school who knew the son!
"My mother isn't available to you! She and my daddy are happily married! If you're going to use this as an excuse to court my mother, you can keep your stupid egg!" Saying so, Jax turned around to leave feeling disappointed by Headmaster Leon's unprofessional attitude. Dumbfounded by what he just heard; Leon couldn't think of anything to say! Just as Jax was about to exit his office, Leon pushed a button causing the double doors to swing shut and lock. Now, Jax was stuck in the office with him! He let the incident this morning go since he found it funny, but he couldn't ignore this wild accusation!
