A day quickly passed by and the 9th battle is about to begin.

Ash was currently waiting in the lounge with Meowth by his side, "Did you already found a place in Sinnoh? I will be staying here for a while."

Meowth patted his chest and replied, "Don't worry, Boss. I already found a mansion for us to stay and I bought it only using half the funds you gave him."

"That's good then, continue recruiting trustful grunts but don't lower the screening test, or else we will have a few rats in our organization," Ash said while standing up, he was now making his way towards the battlefield.

"Ladies and Gentleman! the 9th day of the Lily of the Valley Conference group stage are about to begin!!" The host announced as he stood in front of the stage.

"The battle for this hour is between Boris who has 6 wins and 2 losses fighting against Ash who is still undefeated."

"Trainers please step up on the battlefield!!"

A huge muscular man was walking towards the battlefield with a serious look on his face while Ash was already on the battlefield waiting for his opponent.

"Undefeated eh? you will be experiencing your first loss, today kid." The muscular said with a smirk on his face.

Ash rolled his eyes and threw out his Pokeball, "Noivern, it's time for you to show me your power!"

A huge bat-like pokemon stood at the center of the battlefield glaring towards the muscular man.

Boris sneered seeing Noivern and also took out his pokemon, "Smash that bat into pieces, Machamp!"

A four-armed humanoid pokemon appeared flexing his muscles in front of Noivern.

"What an arrogant fellow to think that you will use a Machamp against my Noivern," Ash said while shaking his head.

"Noivern, fly up, and use Screech."

Noivern took flight and positioned himself above Machamp and attacked it with Screech.

"Machamp, dodge the Screech use Rockblast!"

Machamp jumped backward and threw a barrage of rocks towards the flying Noivern.

"Noivern, Double team then use wing attack!"

Tens of Noivern appeared in Machamp's vision making him confused as to where to hit the rocks making him miss his target.

Noivern used the opportunity to approach Machamp and unleashed his wing attack straight to its face making it flew back from the attack.

"Follow it up with Air Slash!"

Noivern then flew in a straight line towards Machamp who just crashed on the wall and slashed towards his body making Machamp grunt.

"Machamp, use Revenge!"

Machamp's eyes turned red and he grabbed Noivern using his two lower arms while unleashing a barrage of attack with his two upper arms.

"Noivern, use Screech then finish it off with Aerial Ace!"

Noivern screeched on Machamp's face making him release his grip, Noivern then took flight and made an arc in the sky while taking on momentum.

Seeing Noivern getting enough momentum Ash smiled and shouted, "Noivern, let's do this use Giga Impact!"

The already fast Noivern started getting faster while getting shrouded in a golden light.

Machamp who was still trying to stabilize his footing saw the incoming attack stood his ground and braced for the attack.

*BOOM!*

The wall behind Machamp crumbled as Machamp was smashed towards it, Noivern took the sky and spread his wings while looking down on the unconscious Machamp.

"Machamp is unable to battle, the winner is Noivern!"

Noivern flew towards Ash and gave him an excited hug, it was weird to see an overgrown Noivern giving a hug to a young man who was half his size. If it wasn't for Ash's sturdy body he would have already fallen down with the way Noivern hug him.

Patting Noivern's hand which was the only part he could reach Ash said, "You did better than what I have imagined, the Aerial Ace + Giga Impact combo was really impressive."

Noivern cheered hearing Ash praise him and continued hugging his Dad in excitement.

"Okay, okay. you should release me now or else how can we get off the stage?" Ash said with a smile on his face.

Noivern immediately stopped hugging and followed closely behind Ash as they went back to the lounge.

"Pretty impressive, as expected of a Dragon pokemon." Iris who was waiting at the lounge said while looking at Noivern.

Upon seeing Iris, Noivern felt something attractive towards her the same feeling he felt when Lance was trying to persuade him. shaking his head to remove those thoughts Noivern stood his ground and stared at Iris without stepping back.

"Wow! Ash your Noivern is really impressive like really really impressive. to be able to fight back my dragon aura means that he has full control of his instincts!" Iris praised while approaching Noivern with stars on her eyes.

Ash shook his head and replied, "Why are you still acting like a child, we are gonna be fighting tomorrow so be sure that you are prepared to lose."

Iris giggled at Ash's response and said while caressing Noivern's head, "We will see about that Mr. frowny face!"

Ash could only smile wearily hearing Iris calling him names and said, "Garchomp wants to redeem himself so expect that it will be a brutal battle so prepare your strongest pokemon lest your pokemon gets injured."

As soon as he finishes his speech Ash continued walking while Noivern licked Iris' face and followed behind his Dad.

"You're gonna fight me using a Dragon-type interesting," Iris said to herself while looking at Ash's back, she believed what Ash said earlier that it would be a brutal battle so she will definitely use her strongest pokemon in her arsenal.

"I hope you won't disappoint me, Ash!"
