Ash, "They are starting."

Gold, "Yes, the final fight for the seat of Elite 4 of Jhoto."

Ash smirked, "I get the feeling you will find a way to keep the others around though."

Gold grinned impishly, "Of course. It is very important for even the Elites to have back up after all. There is no such thing as a one man army in reality, only in fiction."

Ash snickered, "True."

Referee, "This is the last round. This round will be a six on six battles. There will be no substitutions. The last Pokemon left standing will be the winner."

Casey, "Sounds fun."

Egan, "Cool!"

Referee, "Choose your first Pokemon."

Egan, "Let's go Houndoom."

Casey, "Show them who's boss Jolteon."

Referee, "Begin!"

Casey, "Swift!"

Egan, "Use Ember in retaliation."

Ash, "That's a very eye catching opening."

Gold, "I think you influenced her a lot Ash."

Ash, "Pretty sure this is her own style. She has been battling with Jolteon from the time she was Eevee."

Gold, "Maybe but that shiny display over there is definitely a result of your contest influencing her."

Ash watched as Jolteon jumped away from a flame thrower, "Okay, maybe she was a little influenced but I am sure that is her own style."

Casey, "Trail blaze Jolteon."

Egan, "Trail blaze aa well. Take him out."

Gold, "Clever, agility is a move both types of Pokemon can use but it is also a move which is weak against dark types."

Ash, "But both can use trail blaze and that's a grass type move weal against Fire types which means they were not exactly planning it."

Gold, "I think you may be right."

Ash, "Fight for the fastest?"

Gold, "Maybe ~"

Casey, "Jolteon jump and use thunder wave."

Egan, "Inferno Houndoom. We are not letting them win easily."

Houndoom grinned and used his strongest Fire attack while Jolteon rained down a wave of thunder. Both attacks hit creating a heated electrifying atmosphere that affected the electronics a bit because of the power behind the attacks. When the attacks died down both participants were shaking from the electricity and heat though they shook it off after a while. Jolteon and Houndoom however were both knocked out due to the heat and the paralysing electric attack that hit them.

Referee, "Houndoom and Jolteon are unable to battle. Choose your next Pokemon."

Casey, "Return, thank you buddy. Get some rest."

Egan, "Return Houndoom, you were awesome. Now, let's go Hariyama."

Casey, "Your turn Electrivire."

Ash perked up, "Ooh! I think Casey decided to use her top Pokemon for this. Egan better have his top Pokemon with him too."

Gold, "You know which Pokemon are her Top twelve?"

Ash, "I know seven of them that she considers her top. Not sure about the rest but then again she does rotate just like I do."

Gold, "Eh! She must trust you a lot."

Ash gave a wry smile, "We trust each other with our life and backs. I cannot count how many times we saved each other."

Gold, "I see, I see. Looks like I will have to go on missions with her to develop a working relationship."

Ash, "She will not disappoint you."

Gold, "I will take your word for that."

Lucario, -Meema, we got trouble.-

Ash's eyes sharpened, 'Where are you?'

Lucario, -North of the temple we were at last time. I am pretty sure these are Gonzalez's men.-

Ash got up, "Trouble on the horizon. I will take my leave for the moment."

Gold, "You know you could just let Lance handle it."

Ash, "I could but it's me they are after. I do not want them to think I am an easy target, my ego would not allow it."

Gold, "Of course. Who am I to stop you from spreading fear in your enemies? Just be careful."

Casey, "Electivire thunder punch."

Egan, "Hariyama force palm."

The two Pokemon were fighting with a their might while Ash left to meet up with his Pokemon who were patrolling the area as part of security. Pikachu and Gengar had sat with him while he was in the observation area to make sure he was safe while Annihilape and Charizard were patrolling with Lucario. Ash was really fascinated by how easily Lucario could take charge and lead other Pokemon just like an Alpha Pokemon. There had been many papers about Alpha Pokemon who were leaders regardless of which type they were and the most common trait was they were all leaders who lead Pokemon.

Ash, "Gou, Max."

Max, "Where are you going?"

Ash, "Lucario called."

Gou narrowed his eyes, "We are coming with you. Is it poachers or Team Rocket?"

Ash, "Gonzalez's men and I do not know if he is here."

Max, "Oh! Does Lance know?"

Ash, "I gave him a heads up about the situation."

Gou, "Okay, that's good. Let's go check it out."

The three of them moved quietly and reached the area where Lucario, Annihilape and Charizard were patrolling. They found Lucario who was talking with the ghost and fire type Pokemon with a very serious look on his face. Charizard was happy to see Ash and hugged him rumbling when Ash pat his scale gently saying hello. Charizard's aura seemed to become stronger everytime Ash saw him and Charizard shared an image through aura. His Charizard was now training with the older more experienced Charizards in Charizard temple who had earned the title of Alphas.

Ash, "Oh! No wonder you feel so strong. You are on your way to become an Alpha."

Max's eyes widened, "Woah! Really?"

Gou, "So cool."

Charizard, -Thank you. But we can catch up later. We have a big problem.-

Lucario nodded, -He is right Meema. The men we were spying on earlier were Gonzalez's men.-

Ash, "Did you clash with them?"

Lucario, -No, we decided to watch and video them instead. I must say Meema, Steven really outdid himself with this soundless video camera.-

Ash smirked, "Remind me to thank him properly next time we see him."

Max, "So what's the plan?"

Gou, "The Elite Four exam is still being held at the moment. You don't think they are trying to get rid of the Elite before they became one, do you?"

Ash, "Strategically speaking that is a very cruel yet smart tactic. Get rid of the young protector before they become a danger."

Gou, "Yeah, we should deal with him."

Max, "Casey is going to blow her top once she finds out."

Ash, "Alright then boys! It's time to get to work. We cannot allow these idiots to ruin this wonderful chance for Casey."

Gou, "Yeah! Do you think we will face Gonzalez?"

Ash, "I really want to say hope not but since when has our luck been that good?"

Max, "Go with the flow?"

Ash, "Go with the flow."

Casey meanwhile, "Electivire you got him now, use brick break."

Egan, "Do not let him take you down that easily and use endure."

Casey, "Let's see how long you can endure our attacks. Give him your best hit, thunder punch."

Electivire had his opponent in a hold as he used brick break on him but Hariyama endured the attacks that came at him. The fighting type was patient and refused to go down easily, his strongest point was his endurance and this would be the ultimate test for him. The electric and fighting type Pokemon really were going at it and Gold was honestly speaking very impressed by both sides. The Pokemon obviously trusted their human partners and their humans returned the trust as they let them make their own decisions during the battle only calling out for attacks from time to time when they saw an opening.

Gold, "I hope Ash and the boys are okay, Typholsion."

Typholsion rumbled, "Onn."

Gardevoir who had been standing behind him chimed up, -Do not worry partner, I asked Noctowl to watch over them. So far they have not engaged with the enemy.-

Casey, "Now, Electivire super cell slam!"

Gold perked up when Casey called out for that one particular move to use on his opponent. That particular move was a topic of big debate at the moment because it could pass for a fighting typeove though it was pretty obviously an electric type. The Pokemon who could use the move successfully were actually very rare so seeing it in action was fascinating. But from the looks of it, the move has drained Electivire's energy though it did take out Hariyama from the picture. Gold grinned sitting back on his seat, Ash was correct about young Casey, she was a very interesting training.

Referee, "Hariyama is unable to battle, this battle goes to Electivire. Participant please choose your next Pokemon."

Egan, "Return Hariyama, thanks for the fight buddy. Now, let's go, Tangrowth."

Referee, "Begin!"

Casey, "Rest Electivire, collect your energy."

Egan, "Mega drain. Do not let him recover."

Tangrowth nodded and used mega draining his opponent that had taken out Hariyama who was the strongest fighter she knew. She would even the odds and used vine whip to take Electivire out while draining him only for Electivire to catch her vine whip. But it was obvious Electivire was exhausted from his battle with Hariyama though he put up a strong front. Casey bit her lip, she wanted to return Electivire to his pokeball so he could rest but knew Electivire would not forgive her if she did. Her Pokemon had made it clear they would only go down in battle instead of being disqualified through return.

Casey, "Electivire let's go out with a bang, yeah?"

Electivire grinned nodding, "El."

Casey, "Thunder punch."

Egan, "Tangrowth poison jab."

Electivire's hand crackled with electricity while Tangrowth's glowed eerily purple with the poison. Tangrowth being more fresh dodged the thunder attack and hit Electivire with the poison jab getting a hiss from the electric type. Tangrowth huffed, of course it is not enough to take the electric type down, he was just as stubborn as Hariyama was when it came to battles. So, Tangrowth turned around and hit Electivire with three more poison jabs whole Electivire hit Tangrowth with a thunder punch. The grass type winced when one attack hit, she may have the advantage over typing but a punch was still a punch. Electivire though fell because of the poison jabs that he received.

Referee, "Electivire is unable to battle, participant please choose your next Pokemon."

Casey, "Thank you Electivire. Come on out Beedrill."

Beedrill appeared, "Bzzz!"

Referee, "Begin!"

Egan, "Power whip, bring it down."

Casey, "Fury attack to dodge."

Beedrill moved at a very high speed avoiding the power whip and hit Tangrowth who hissed at the bug Pokemon. She looked at Beedrill who had very defined wings meant for speed more then power and knew he would be a difficult opponent. With Ash and the others they had found the place their targets were using as base and they decided to look around the camp. Ash motioned to Max to spy from above with Charizard who agreed that it was a good idea, you never know if they had flying types. Max agreed to give them air support and with Breloom hopped on Charizard's back as they flew up to watch from the branches.

Gou whispered, "Someone is coming."

Annie, "Ugh! I can't believe that brat got Oakley."

Ash, "If it isn't our old friend."

Annie, "What? You are the best that got my sister arrested. I will kill you."

Ash, "You can try."

Annie, "Come out Growlithe!"

Four Growlithes appeared which made Ash frown especially when he saw the collars on the canine Pokemon. Those looked very similar and Annie laughed on seeing where he was staring and bragged how it was the latest product to control Pokemon. Ash was visibly livid and ordered Gengar to deal with her while he made sure to knock out the Growlithe which were under control. The ghost Pokemon grabbed Ash's ankle and squeezed once to show he agreed and then Ash felt Gengar leave his shadow to fight Annie.

Ash, "Congratulations! You actually managed to piss me off."
