The next morning, as the chirps of Pidgey signaled a new day a red-haired boy can be seen working vigorously, his hand moving in a rhythmic manner as his eyes were firmly held onto the computer screen. Kevin typed and typed, though the development tools had been done the actual coding was very hectic and his child body couldn't keep up. Suddenly stopping he dropped back on his seat lazily the intensive morning work had taken an absurd amount of his energy.
"Why don't I just find a Porygon To help me out I can even create my own upgrade for it, if possible" As the idea popped into his head, his mind went into overdrive pondering on the possibilities of it.
"Yeah, I know for a fact that my hacking skills are a bit more advanced than the cyber security in this world but does Porygon exists." Kevin mumbled, as he hopped back onto the computer his fingers tapping rapidly, first he entered the researcher's network and did a simple surface search on software Pokémon, artificial Pokemon and Porygon however nothing came up. So, he went in deeper, luckily, he didn't have any classes today and his dad had taken a trip to Celadon Mall to restock some items, otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to finish the work. After an outstanding four-hour search what came out was a single document by a young researcher by the name Dr. Akihabara.
"Akihabara huh!? Where have I heard that name?" Kevin pondered, then it hit him. Pokeball transfer technology! "James Akihabara" The hint of realization dawned on him. Dr Akihabara was actually a pretty well know researcher, some even hailed him a genius of the decade since his first thesis after graduation from the Kanto Research institute, revolutionized Pokeball transfer, by digitizing a pokeball one can transfer it across vast distances and all this was invented by this young man at the age of twenty-two years. Then his fame took a nosedive when he published his second thesis, focusing on the possibility of artificially generated pokemon. This controversial topic sparked harsh rebuttal mainly from the Church of Arceus. They deemed it as a blasphemous idea and any movement toward engaging it would be met with dire consequences. This led to the spiraling down fall of the young genius as the power and wealth of the church crushed him completely out of public view.
"Now do I steal his research or what?" Kevin asked himself, he could already grasp the underlying concept of how the first porygon came to be through perusing though the document. He was actually surprised to even find it present as the church made sure to erase all about it. A great debate of moral justice and curious entitlement began but his childish brain inclined more towards the latter option, and so he pushed deeper. Through the system database he gained access to the doctors back-up folders and even his personal terminal and the rest was history. After making sure to collect all the data and information he could find, Kevin made his getaway from the scene of the crime making sure to hide his tracks, "Finally, now let's see what the caused the genius of the decade to be the flop of the decade."
The actual creation of Porygon was actually simple, by using a developer's greatest tool of CRTL + C and CRTL + V his work was done at a breakneck speed. While also adding some more lines of code based on his memories to adjust some things, actually a lot of things, since a lot of the algorithms weren't up to date, so he modified them for better efficiency. This workload continued for two days of continuous coding, much to the ire of his dad.
"Theeeeen done and press enter and run" On the evening of Thursday a historic moment began, the lines of code as if gaining sentience began dancing on the screen, rearranging themselves while changing and modifying under a unique power. A strange symbol suddenly appeared on the screen; it could be described as a tree but not a tree. Its root built with 0 bits and the trunk by 1 bit, suddenly it began pulsating with a futuristic blue color as if calling. Kevin could have sworn he was crazy if it wants for the sharp pain engulfing his head. Unknown to him, deep inside his soul the same symbol was formed. its roots planted of the block of memories he inherited, before he could black out the pain suddenly left, and his vision returned. The first thing he noticed when he tried to scan the room was a rounded, pink, Pokémon that shows similarities to a drinking bird. It has a relatively flat bill and large, round eyes. Its legs are simple ovoid growths along its sides, and its tail widens towards the middle. Its bill, legs, tail, and underside are blue.
"Porygon2!? B-But how is this possible I'm sure I was creating a porygon" Kevin stuttered in shock," Yes you did but the additional codes inserted were fundamental to my present form, as for the underlying reason, insufficient data to for a conclusion" A robotic voice responded. Facing the pokemon that had just talked made Kevin dumbfounded.
"What happened" In more confusion Kevin questioned once more.
