Chapter 15: Mission Starts

- Scyther...??

Scyther One had a look of confusion including the audience as well, as they wondered why their trainer surrendered when the fight was just starting to get good.

Naturally, Shiroe saw all of their reaction as a smirk appeared on his face before chuckling in amusement.

"Come now, did you forget this was supposed to be just a spar?"

- Scyther...

Scyther One felt disappointed as it was his chance to fight Doublade again and make it even between them.

Even if it wasn't exactly the battle he had hoped for, Scyther would still have accepted it.

After all, Honedge or now... Doublade was the Pokemon that gave him his first-ever defeat in his lifetime.

For him, Doublade was his rival and a goal that he strived to surpass.

"Don't worry about it, I'm sure there will be a chance for you in the future"

- Scyther~

Scyther One sighed and could only hope for it as he turned around, continuing with the meal he hadn't finished earlier.

"Welp, the battle is over everyone! You go and scatter now!"

They all left the area with a few having disappointed looks but the fight did freshen their understanding of their trainer.

Even though Shiroe lost, he managed to last long enough to force Scyther to stop holding back which did earn their respect.

As for that dirty move he did earlier, they didn't really mind it since their trainer was a human after all. In their minds, a human could never defeat a Pokemon head-on.

...

[Shiroe POV]

"Everything should be good to go"

I looked around and let out a satisfied sigh, seeing the tent and other stuff all packed in bags already.

And then turned my head around, glancing at my Pokemon who were playing around or chatting with each other.

"Kay, everyone... go back to your pokéballs now!"

I yelled out, bringing out multiple pokéball as I each pointed it at them and summoned them back inside except for Doublade.

"Yosh, let's go"

- Shing~

With a new renowned vigor, I stepped forward along with my partner as we finally set out to Cobalt Coastland.

Which I'm very excited to go to as there lived a Pokemon that I intend to enlist in my main team.

A Pokemon that was once considered legendary but wasn't due to some unknown reason.

And yes, I'm talking about Arcanine...

"Hm"

I read in a post somewhere that it used to be considered part of the legendary dog trio but turned out to be false or something.

I didn't really dig deep into why that was...

All I know is that Arcanine is a strong Pokemon and I want a doggy on my team.

I mean, who doesn't like dogs?

They're cute as fuck and would absolutely get them but sadly, I couldn't buy one in the past as my money wasn't enough.

But this time it's different since I've transmigrated into the world of Pokemon, where all kinds of animals are superpowered creatures.

This means that all I have to do is capture a dog-like Pokemon and I'll have one, it's practically free.

And I have chosen Arcanine as my doggy or if it really isn't possible then, a Growlithe will do.

"Umu"

I nodded fervently, clenching my fist as the thought of getting a dog motivated me greatly.

"Let's speed up, buddy"

- Shing! Shing!

My Doublade twirled in response with its eyes showing a hint of excitement as he followed right behind me.

And not long after, we finally arrived...

It took less than a day before we got out of Ancient Retreat and reached the valley entrance of Cobalt Coastland.

And most of the reason why we got out fast was the fact that I didn't bother to capture Pokemon on the way since I've already got way too many plus my balls are running out.

Of course, I could always scavenge for the materials to create more but I got lazy...

I mean, why bother?

Most of the Pokemon in Ancient Retreat are ones I've already seen anyway so, it was useless to care.

Even if I was wrong and that there is actually a rare Pokemon that lived there...

I mean, I could always come back in the future to get them anyway.

No big deal...

However, I do have to agree that some Pokemon roaming there were actually skilled in fighting.

And it was a good chance to train my Pokemon, especially Scyther since after battling him, I've come to find him in a new light.

So naturally, I focused on him and leveled him up to about level 26.

I plan to evolve him into Kleavor soon but I haven't found any Black Augurite yet which saddens me a bit.

That means that I'll have to look some after this mission is over...

Maybe ask Professor Laventon?

He should know something since he is a Pokemon Professor or scholar after all.

Welp, enough about that...

And focused more on the beauty of the view of Cobalt Coastland cause it is absolutely stunning.

"Amazing..."

The sandy white beach, the clean expanding oceans, the luminous sunlight gazing down, and the azure skies with pure white clouds drifting through the wind.

My golly...

I wouldn't be able to see such a sight if it were in my old world cause it is full of waste and pollution.

But this world is different, it is still pure and clean with no signs of any artificial damage to nature.

"Ah..."

How gorgeous...

I can understand now, why some people in my old world would go so far as to form groups or organizations to rally against pollution and such.

I mean, this is just amazing...

And I know, I'm repeating myself but that's just how captivated I feel at this view.

"Hah"

Okay, enough dillydallying and concentrate on the mission on hand.

With a soft slap on my cheeks...

I was woken up from the dazed state as focus gradually returned to my eyes before shaking my head to erase any distracting thoughts.

"Let's see..."

I soon took out the map for Cobalt Coastland inside my satchel and unscrolled it, examining every inch of the area with narrowed eyes.

Hmm...

I think that up that fault-block mountain or whatever is the best spot for a camp, not only has it a great vantage point when looking out but it's also high enough to evade a small tsunami... I think.

Welp, only one way to find out...

I'll go there by myself and inspect the area as easily as that.

"Yosh!"

Let's start at the Windbreak Stand first and go all the way to Veilstone Cape...

And maybe even level up some of my Pokemon or train my sword-fighting skills.

Either way, both options work for me...
