Starter Pokemon

-|Marcus|– (Day 03)

Once we were back home from the shopping trip, we first put away all the stuff we bought in town, before we went through the backdoor to the farm.

There I let out the 3 new Mareep, from their pokeballs.

"They really came out of something so small." Erza said clearly surprised with the others.

"Maarr." The Mareep said while looking around. I had placed them in the overgrown grass area for now, so that they can graze here.

I bent down to be at their head level, while keeping away from their wool otherwise it will shock me. "Hello there Mareep, my name is Marcus the owner of this farm, and this is where you will be living from now on. Can you guys sometimes help me with giving some of your electricity, in exchange I will feed you a lot of tasty food and help your with your fleece when it grows to thick."

"Reepp." The Mareep accepted that while nodding.

"Wow they look so soft, dattebayo." Naruko said while patting one on the side.

*Shock*

"Ouch" She said while pulling away her hand fast.

"Sorry Naruko, I forgot to tell you. Mareep's fleece gives of shocks because it is charged." I said.

"Tell that earlier." She said while waving her hand around.

*Honk* *Honk*

We all heard a Honk of a truck out the front and went to look, after I had asked Riolu to look after the Mareep. They didn't have a pen yet, and the fence around the farm was broken in some places.

At the front was a truck with 2 deliveryman, they were here to deliver the refrigerator.

I had them place it inside, and connected it to a cable that let out the back. There we had a small generator, it wasn't very big but it was enough for a few devices. It worked by having a rod attached to it, where electric attacks can be sent through it, to charge it up.

After they were gone I asked the Mareep to sent a few Thunder Shocks at it, and it charged up quickly.

Once it was full I gave the Mareep some of the feed, and left them to graze after that in the grass area, with Riolu watching over them for now.

We quickly place the Moomoo milk and other product in the refrigerator after that.

Looking outside I saw that we still had some time before evening dinner.

"Okay, we still have some time left to the day. We will do the planting tomorrow, so today I will teach you how to fish." I said.

Marcus had told us that we were going to fish, so we took buckets and the 2 fishing rods we had bought with bait to a river behind the farm. We didn't buy more fishing rods yet because Marcus said that these were the cheapest, but the better once cost too much for us for now.

I never went fishing with my father before, so I was looking forward to learn this. So far I was enjoying my time here, the girls and Marcus were nice to me.

I also like the pokemon, a lot of them were very cute and I would like to just cuddle with them. I can't wait for my own to hatch, it will be nice to have a close friend.

This new world was exciting but it also made me nervous, luckily the others were treating me normally even when I was stuttering. I hope that goes away soon, once I get more used to them and this place.

Soon we arrived at the river and filled up the buckets with water and place them down.

"All right, now to fish you need to put the bait on the hook here. Make sure it doesn't fall of easily otherwise the fish can just take it and leave." Marcus explained to us. "Now to start with, how about Ruby and Erza."

"Huh, M-Me." I asked nervous to be first, while Erza just nodded.

"Don't worry Ruby, I will help you if you need it." He told me, and I calmed down a bit.

After that we prepared the bait and we began the waiting game a fish to bite. At first mine was shaking a lot, but after 5 minutes of waiting I calmed down a lot.

Erza was the first to get a bite, and after Marcus explained what to do. She eventually got the first catch of the day, which was placed in the bucket.

After that Marcus had her switch with Naruko.

It took another 10 minutes for me to finally catch one too, I was very happy that I could do this. And was having fun with it now, so Marcus left me to catch another one.

So it went with us switching who caught one, before while Naruko was fishing she caught a big red carp looking fish.

"Oh that's a Magicarp. It is a Water pokemon." Marcus said, while getting the Magicarp of the hook and letting it go back in the water. "For now we don't need one so lets put it back."

"You can get pokemon like this too, dattebayo" Naruko asked looking like she got an idea.

"You can, water specialist/trainers do it a lot. But normally you will still need to capture the pokemon by battling it first, so look out with that. Magicarp just normally are not that strong until they evolve, that's why it didn't attack." Marcus explained, while warning Naruko who had a sheepish smile on her face.

At the end of the day we had caught 14 fishes and we put them in the pond inside a small net, so that we could sell them tomorrow.

Evening meal was even better with all the new ingredients we had bought.

Once it was dark we went to bed, it was still pretty early. But then again we also need to wake up early, something I am not used to doing.

I laid in bed while clutching the pokemon egg close to me, hoping it would hatch soon.

Once we were woken up again the next morning, the girls and I looked and felt like we slept better that night. I didn't have any bad dreams about my mother dying, or myself for that matter.

Maybe the others also had bad dreams before.

-|Marcus|- (Day 04)

Looking at the girls coming from their bedroom while I was preparing breakfast again, I could see that they were looking better today.

They are still young so for them to have chosen to come here, probably means they didn't have a very good life before. I had also noticed that they were all pretty lonely before and wanted friends and companions.

The night before I had heard some noises, and I thought some might have nightmares.

That was why I had hired a Drowzee the day before, It had come exactly at midnight. And I had asked it to eat any bad dreams the girls were having, if it sensed any. When it was done for the night it had told me trough Telepathy that all were having them, and that it had done as asked.

I asked it to do the same for the rest of the week, and to keep silent about it. The girls didn't have to know that I knew they were having nightmares.

Drowzee had agreed, and I went to bed after that.

"Let's eat everyone, we will have a lot of work to do today." I said, which was true. We would have to plant the seeds after all, and Bob will come today to check everything on the farm that needs work.

They quickly washed their faces and placed the pokemon eggs on the coffee table, before coming to eat.

While we were eating the 4 eggs all of a sudden began glowing.

"What is happening, is something wrong with them!" Naruko asked nervously, the other girls quickly got up to look at their eggs too.

I calmly stood up and came over to the eggs. "Don't worry, this means they are going to hatch soon, your pokemon are around to be born."

The girls looked a mix of excited and nervous at that, and stood in front of their respective eggs.

The first egg to hatch was from Erza, her pokemon egg began to change shape into a bipedal, sea otter-like Pokemon. It had fur covering its entire body, with white fur on its face and arms, light-blue fur on its chubby torso and a dark blue tail, feet and ears. It's face features freckles on each cheek. It also has a tan-colored scallop shell attached to its stomach.

Soon after that, the egg from Naruko began to change into a small, fox-like Pokemon. It had yellow, orange and white fur. The fur on its long, pointy muzzle is white, while its body is mainly covered in bright yellow fur. It had fluffy tufts of vibrant, flame-orange fur protruding from its ears. Its eyes were round and bright orange with slit pupils. Its nose was round and black. It has a short, bushy yellow tail with an orange tip.

After the eggs from Naruko and Erza hatched it was Rose's who was next, the egg began changing into a serpentine creature with mainly a green body, tan stomach and lower head, with the end of its tail being shaped like a leaf as large as its head. Though unlike most other snake-like creatures, this one, sports arms and legs, being green and tan, respectively. The arms are quite plant-like, ending in three prongs that act like fingers. Its head is a tear drop shape with the top half being green and the bottom half, in front of the neck, being tan. Its eyes are in the intersection between the border of the green and tan parts of its head. Its eyes are surrounded by a yellow marking and are usually half closed. Near the bottom of its neck is a yellow collar which comes up on either side on its body, and comes together in the center of its back, making a line to the bottom of the leaf tail.

The last one to hatch was the pokemon egg from Ruby, it began changing into a very small, plump, yellow rodent-like creature. It had diamond-shaped ears on the top of its head, with the edges being black and the interior yellow. Underneath its head is a black pattern, that somewhat resembles a collar. Its tails are completely black, and resemble a small lightning bolt. It also had round, pink sacs on their cheeks.

The four pokemon opened there eyes, and stared at their respective new partner.

"It's so Cute." Ruby said without stuttering or sounding nervous for once.

"Hi, I am Naruko Uzumaki, let's be the best of friends from now on, dattebayo." Naruko said to her pokemon excitedly.

"You do look pretty cute." Rose said while patting her pokemon on the head.

"Let's get along." Erza said with a small smile at her pokemon.

"So which pokemon are these Marcus." Rose asked with her pokemon in her arms having picked it up.

I first gave each girl a bottle with Moomoo milk in it. "First give these to your pokemon, it has just been born and needs the nutrients."

While the girls did that I began to explain. "Well, it's interesting that you girls got these pokemon. These pokemon are normally the first pokemon given to trainers by professors in their regions as a starter."

"Let's begin with Erza, your pokemon is called Oshawott, it is a Water type pokemon. It can evolve 2 times, into a Dewott first and after that a Samurott. It can use the Scallop on it stomach as a knife to block attacks and also use moves with it." Erza looked at Oshawott with some excitement hearing all that.

"Let's work hard to get strong together Oshawott." She said.

"Osha." Oshawott responded while nodding, before quickly going back to drinking Moomoo milk.

"Next would be Naruko's, your pokemon is called Fennekin, it is a Fire type pokemon. It can evolve 2 times, into a Braixen first and after that a Delphox. Delphox will also get a second Type, Psychic." I said.

"Let's get along Fennekin." Naruko said while stroking Fennekin's fur.

"Fenn." It responded, enjoying the patting.

"Then we have Rose's pokemon, yours is called Snivy, it is a Grass type pokemon. It can also evolve 2 times, into a Servine first and after that a Serperior. When it gets sunlight on it tail it generates energy which will make it faster and its moves a bit stronger." I told them.

"Guess that's what grass type do then? Lets become good friends Snivy." Rose told it.

Snivy nodded while holding the bottle itself already.

"And the last one that hatched was Ruby's, your pokemon is not normally a starter but I know of a trainer who got that one and became very strong. It is called Pichu, it is a Electric type pokemon. It can evolve 2 times, into a Pikachu first and after that a Raichu. There is a alternate evolution for Pikachu to Raichu called Alolan Raichu, which gets a Psychic typing added to it, but it needs the climate from Alola for that. Oh and look out Pichu aren't skilled at using electric moves yet so it can sometimes discharge electricity if it gets surprised." I warned her.

Ruby look at Pichu before her and gave it a small smile. "Let's get along Pichu."

"Pichu." Pichu smiled back at her.

"All right, you girls spend some time with your pokemon, and after that we will begin to work in the farm okay." I told them giving them some more time for now, they did just get their starter after all.

"Yes Marcus/Okay/Thank you." They responded, and went playing with their pokemon with smiles on their faces.
