CHAPTER 22: REUNION AND EVOLUTION

"How's little mareep?"

Hearing this, both Grandpa Tokuzo and Ellie looked at each other before replying:

"The little boy is doing quite well; he has helped us a lot here on the farm."

Ellie for her part decided to add:

"If you need it now, I can ask Ellie to take mareep to the pokemon center and have it sent to you."

Seeing this, Grandpa Tokuzo smiled happily before bidding farewell to Alec telling him to wait a bit so he can pick up the mareep from him.

On the other hand, Ellie teased Alec a bit more before telling him that she was looking forward to the memories of Alola, so Alec could only nod and promise that.

Thus, once the video call was over, Alec waited patiently before a nurse, Joy, approached him and asked for his name.

Alec, knowing that his partner had finally arrived, nodded to the nurse, who asked him to go to the reception, where he signed some papers and paid for the shipment, before receiving a pokeball.

Alec didn't hesitate as he threw the pokeball before a rather plump and fluffy mareep appeared, who, from the look on his face, seemed to be wondering where the hell he was.

Hearing Alec's voice, the little mareep turned around and when he saw him, he jumped towards him knocking him to the ground while Alec patted his little head.

"Hahaha, enough mareep, I missed you too."

After calming the little one down, Alec left with him as they walked through the Hau'oli city bringing the little mareep up to speed.

"And that's why I called you mate, although it's unlikely we'll run into trouble, better safe than sorry, plus I think you might like the Alolan atmosphere."

As they spoke, the rotomdex had also paid quite a bit of attention to Alec's mareep, who, until recently, had been sleeping in Alec's backpack, and it's because of the excessive work Alec asked him to do in recording and organizing all of the information on the mareep. different pokemon they had found so far.

As there were still a few hours left until Alec began his work as a teacher, he decided to return to the apartment, he had a few questions to ask Mareep.

He then returned to the living room where the little mareep and the rotomdex were waiting for him curiously.

Alec stirred the liquid in the test tube, then turned to the rotomdex and asked it to record every step of the way.

The rotomdex nodded blinking its screen, on the other hand, Alec looked at the little mareep with serious eyes saying:

"You don't need to prevent evolution anymore, but before that, you'll take this liquid, it can make once you evolve stronger than you normally would be."

Hearing this, the little mareep did not hesitate at all as he drank the entire contents of the test tube, and soon after, the characteristic light of evolution enveloped the little mareep.

At this moment, Alec carefully observed the white light that covered the mareep, wanting to see if there was any change in this process.

On the other hand, the rotomdex was already collecting all the data and recording the entire evolution process of mareep.

So, Alec waited for 30 minutes, which was when the bright evolutionary light began to dim, and what appeared in front of him was no longer the small, stuffed mareep, from his 4-legged form he could now walk on 2, his pink color characteristic, although with less wool on its body it denoted that it had now successfully evolved into flaaffy.

Something that Alec noticed was that his flaaffy was much taller than average, something that he compared with the data in the rotomdex, since his flaaffy was 1.2m, and perhaps because he was not very used to walking on 2 legs, he lost his balance and fell to the ground.

This amused Alec quite a bit, but there was still one thing to do, and that was to confirm if the qualifying liquid worked.

Thus, Alec sharpened his vision towards flaaffy, soon, Alec managed to notice the colors that represented the potential of a pokemon, and the color that he saw filled him with joy.

"It worked, mareep's color changed when it evolved to flaaffy!"

Mareep's color when he was born was blue, although compared to the Benga larvae, his color was not so dark, but now, Alec's flaaffy managed to enter the indigo color, thus proving that the liquid worked.

But Alec soon calmed his excitement as he began to reflect.

"That reminds me, while mareep's potential color was blue, compared to larval, its blue color was much lighter, is it also that flaaffy's indigo is quite light compared to some other pokemon?"

This made him wonder if even a potential of a certain color could be divided into different levels depending on the intensity of the color itself.

It should be noted that the 2 pokemon he spotted from Professor Kukui both had blue potentials as dark as the Benga larva, even the Alolan ninetales he found was also that color, so so far he had not spotted a pokemon yet indigo color in addition to flaaffy.
