Pokemon: Brock's Younger Brother?

David never thought he would be transmigrated after a tired day of work. Waking up to the feeling of nausea. But there he was... Now on his feet up in the middle of a dark room with his other siblings there. "I'm Forrest?" Looking around David was shaken as he assessed his situation. David was in for a surprise as the son of Flint and the second eldest of the family as Brock's little brother. ___________________ There will be no "Levels" or "Talents". The Story will be more realistic with add-ons by myself of course. But I won't make the story "dark" as I enjoy Pokemon for the brighter side of the series and catching Pokemon. Some cities, towns, or small pieces of information will be made up myself to fit the story.

Training Session Before Vermillion

"Release all the tension in your body and loosen up." I comment looking at Tyrogue's stance. This type of battle style just didn't fit the little guy.

Even though this fighting style encourages extremely strong single strikes, I don't want this for multiple reasons.

"Ty?" The Pokemon growls out with a tilt of its head. Looking at the little guy I start to get into the specifics as he probably would understand.

"For a Pokemon who acts as sort of a glass canon, you should never go for a single strike as if it fails you doomed." I say. Basically what I was getting at was that speed is king concerning when Tyrogue evolves to which I'll make sure he does. Like every physical Pokemon should 100% focus on speed and a balance of defence and attack. This doesn't include Pokemon which could tank a lot of hits unless it can do both which is a plus.

But clearly Tyrogue or any of his evolutions don't fall into any of the other categories I'm thinking about. While I'm not using data to back up these claims, I am using common sense.

I mean why make a glass cannon extremely strong if it couldn't even land a hit in the first place as it would lose first.

While this was happening my other Pokemon were training which included my newly added Beedrill. Not sure on where he belongs but he's resilient and doesn't interact much.

He is what I expected most Pokemon I captured to be like. A creature that instantly listens to my bidding and doesn't question me. A Pokemon showing emotion, advanced thinking, or traits could be a sign of hidden potential though.

Lairon was doing his normal training of endurance with {Rock Tomb}, he would hold over hundreds of boulders at different distances.

Squirtle and Clefairy would take advantage of this and practise their moves and aim on these "targets". They would practise the power and accuracy of moves like {Aura Sphere}, {Water Gun} and {Stored Power}.

"Scyther I want you to do a little back and forth with Tyrogue. Go for attacks and then switch it up to dodging after a little bit." I explain. This training for Tyrogue would be the most beneficial as its already gotten enough conditioning from the dojo.

It just needs a lot of experience in battling and he will do solid.

Seeing that everybody had something to do I spent the rest of the time giving Beedrill some light agility training with cones and training my biceps with some dumbbells.

This mostly consisted of Concentration curls, Alternating dumbbell curls, Isometric bicep hold and Hammer curls.

Training for the whole crew lasted about an hour and a half before we started to tire down. Thankfully I was able to wash myself up at the lake I scouted nearby.

*Gush*

Squirtle tired from all the attacks, clumsily sends out a {Water Gun} that wasn't exactly aimed right. This unfortunately or fortunately hit Clefairy to its ire.

"Cle-" The fluff tries to say some words but was quickly shut up by the water. "Fairyyyy!"

With the fairy Pokemon puffing it's cheeks, it starts to attack Squirtle in rage. Jumping up to the sky Clefairy charges up an attack but then gets a weird feeling.

"Fairy?" With a raised eyebrow Clefairy realised that her stamina was up and fell flat to the ground.

*Thump*

"Squirtle squirt!" The tiny turtle laughed at the poor fairy Pokemon. Lairon who was watching saw this with a grin as it kept on training.

Looking at the scene I watch as Squirtle was clutching its chest as it laughed its ass off. Clefairy who couldn't do anything just lays flat on the floor with cold stare.

"Alright I think that's enough!" I announce wanting to intercept this little "battle". My Pokemon hearing this including Clefairy sluggishly made their way towards me.

"Rogue tyrogue!" A happy but cheerful voice could be heard conversing with Scyther. The mantis Pokemon keeping the conversation going had a smug smirk.

"Scyther sai!" Scyther proudly remarks pointing to a huge scar on its chest. Tyrogue looking in awe at the prideful scar, gets stars in its eyes practically feeding Scyther's ego.

Looking at my Pokemon besides Beedrill conversing as it was a new addition and was kind of robotic. I realised that Lairon wasn't much of a talker.

To be fair he liked to be alone and never hanged out with the Aron at the gym for long periods of time. I'm not sure what this is about but he's a hungry battler that's for sure.

"You guys can rest up and do your own thing for now, but I want Beedrill to come with me." I tell my Pokemon. Everybody besides Beedrill nodded as my words as they left. The huge bug who stayed with me tilted its head in confusion.

"I see a trainer up ahead and I want to battle him with you. You up for the challenge."

Beedrill seeing my smirk gave a buzz in confirmation. Multiple trainers or civilians passed us during training but I'll try to get a battle in.

Before that though I'll need to find out this big guys statistics on my Pokedex. I can't just be guessing his move pool now can I?

Taking out my Pokedex I grab Beedrill's Pokeball and hover it over the blue gem.

"Beedrill Scanned zzz." The Pokedex buzzed out.

[Beedrill (The Poison Bee Pokemon)]

Height: 1.27m (4'02")

Ability: Sniper (Greatly enhances the power of moves that hit a critical spot on an opponent)

Moves: {Bug Bite}, {Fury Attack}, {Poison Sting}, {Harden}, {Laser Focus}, {Venoshock}, {Agility}, {Peck}, {Twineedle}.

"Four feet? What type of drugs has been pumped into this bee man." I murmur in disbelief. With my look into his moves done, I created a small little bread and butter combo for the guy.

It might not work depending on his move efficiently and speed but that doesn't matter. I must be able to battle despite the disadvantages I may face.

"Alright let's get this show on the road."

With this I shortly went on ahead to introduce myself to the passer-by.

*Rustle*

The guy who didn't expect to see a guy soaked in water with a huge Beedrill come out of a bush, obviously made the guy freak out.

"Wha-"

Before anything could escalate though the Weavile next to the trainer jumped in front of him and growled. Seeing the Pokemon I got an appreciative look seeing the Pokemon for the first time.

"Alright let's bet 1000₱." My opponent I now know as Dylan say with a smirk. Looking over to the previously frightened guy I nod.

He was from the Sinnoh region and is here on his third journey. Dylan apparantly didn't take the gym challenge for the first two journeys and was mostly exploring.

He relatively "new" to him but I don't actually know his skill level. So it's possible he's like the guy I faced with a Magmortar.

Tapping the confirm button on my Pokedex I told my Beedrill to take the stage.

"It's your turn pal, go Beedrill."

Beedrill floating in front of me, does a loud buzz to signify that it was ready. My opponent hearing this gulps in his saliva at the menacing looking bug.

My opponent shortly after, chose his already sent out Weavile. With the match now starting my opponent made the first move.

"Weavile {Ice Shard} now and use it to create cover for {Quick Attack}." Dylan immediately shouts. Weavile who readied its claws, generated a couple of shards on its hands and launched them.

Seeing this I realised that I would need to get into a close quarters battle but Weavile is more agile and faster.

There was only one option.

"Beedrill dodge the attacks with {Agility} and then use {Harden}"

Weavile who was fully encased in a dull glow. Sped towards Beedrill. The bug with a pink hue was able to dodge all the shards and quickly incased itself in a dim glow as well. With both normal type moves being inherently different, two completely different results would occur.

"Vileee!" The sharp claw Pokemon roared out slamming itself into the bug. But it didn't go as it expected a Weavile bounced off Beedrill due to the {Harden}.

"Quickly counter now with {Twineedle}!"

Three yellow-green needles from each of Beedrill's stingers, started to race towards the downed Weavile.

*Thud*

Weavile who hit the ground was able to regain itself a little.

"Don't hesitate Weavile, use your arms to launch yourself up and disrupt it with {Fake Out} and {Night Slash} right after!" Dylan shouts pumping his fists out. Widening my eyes in surprise. I watched the ridiculous sight of Weavile digging it's claws into the ground practically making a dent.

Then it pushed its legs upwards and did a perfect flip mid air towards Beedrill.

"Zzz?" Beedrill confused as all of its needles impacted the ground, realised that it was too late.

*Clap*

A ringing sensation hit Beedrill's head as it couldn't move at all. Soon after this a {Night Slash} was followed up which sent Beedrill flying towards the ground.

'Damn Beedrill should of been close to Weavile's speed but because of a surprise attack, paired with Beedrill's reaction time being bad. He got hit badly.' I quickly reflected to myself as I saw Beedrill regain itself.

"Use one more {Night Slash} Weavile!" My opponent roared out feeling the rush of excitement. With a click of my tongue I decided my Pokémon's next moves.

"Use {Agility} to get faster than Weavile and then quickly attack it with {Bug Bite}."

Weavile once again dashing towards Beedrill, makes a leap towards the end to which the bug practically teleports away.

Beedrill was now the faster one in this grassy field with full reigns to who would get hit. With a flap of its wings, Beedrill dissapeared from Weavile's vision as it appeared soon after but behind it.

*Boom*

A small explosion happened as the super effective bug-type move landed on the dark type Pokemon.

"Vilee!" The Pokemon cried out being sent flying a couple of meters away. Seeing the opportunity of another hit I act on it.

"{Twineedle} now!" I shout. Beedrill with no delay immediately sends six flying needles towards Weavile.

As the hits were incoming, the downed Pokemon enhanced its claws with a glow and slashed the needles creating a shockwave.

*Boom*

"{Quick Attack} to get closer and use {Night Slash}!"

"Don't give, dodge the attack and use {Twineedle} at a distance."

Beedrill seeing the incoming Weavile. Made a break for it and propelled itself to the right using its wings. To Dylan's amazement and to my shock, Weavile missed and was sent flying towards a tree. But instead of this being the end of it, Weavile recovers and uses a branch to launch itself towards Beedrill.

With a black glow on the Pokemons claws, it got above Beedrill and sent it flying directly down with a hit for the second time this match.

*Crash!*

Unfortunately enough I don't think Beedrill would recover from this second hit. With the dust cloud settling both Dylan and I could see the fainted Beedrill.

'Well I guess that's partially my fault and Beedrills.' I thought to myself. This experience didn't bum me out too much but made me realise that I couldn't forget the basics.

Most battles might be on a neutral ground but my Pokemon have to be ready for any environment. A good lesson to learn.

Beedrill would need to touch upon its reaction time and move pool more though. Everything else for its level is amazing for now.

*Phsszszst*

Returning the bug who had swirls in its eyes. I walk up to Dylan with a smile on my face.

"That was a good battle man, ya think you'll participate in the Indigo League?" I asked

"Na I'll head back to Sinnoh and participate in that league after this journey, I just want to find my footing in this regions gyms is all." The guy says making me furrow my eyebrows. After saying our goodbyes I made my way back to my camp and started to pack up.

'It's time to travel again. But this time I'll have multiple chances to catch rare Pokemon before Koga.' I giddily thought to myself.

Was I catching too many Pokemon?

Not really as the average trainer had over 30+. But it would be good to monitor the amount I train for battles. Not all my captures will be battlers though so it will be fine.

With a thought on what I should do to bond better with my Pokemon. I switched it up and put Squirtle on my lap as I peddled off for Vermillion City.

"Squirtle squirt!" The tiny turtle Pokemon growled out amazement as it felt the breeze brush past our faces.

"I could get used to this." I murmured with a satisfied feeling as a smirk threatened to appear on my face.

(A/N: Every Pokemon MC catches will get their own time to shine and bond over. So don't complain about this 😤)

(A/N: I realised when reading the comments from last chapter what I should focus on. It's the development of MCs Pokemon, their relationships and interactions.

The MC will obviously take the gym challenge but it won't be his main priority for now as creating bonds, catching Pokemon and enjoying his first journey with his Pokemon are a must. With my already planned plot this will be fun hehe.

With this in mind I'll be able to pump out nice quality chapters without many delays 👌 )
