Pokemon: Brock's Younger Brother?

David never thought he would be transmigrated after a tired day of work. Waking up to the feeling of nausea. But there he was... Now on his feet up in the middle of a dark room with his other siblings there. "I'm Forrest?" Looking around David was shaken as he assessed his situation. David was in for a surprise as the son of Flint and the second eldest of the family as Brock's little brother. ___________________ There will be no "Levels" or "Talents". The Story will be more realistic with add-ons by myself of course. But I won't make the story "dark" as I enjoy Pokemon for the brighter side of the series and catching Pokemon. Some cities, towns, or small pieces of information will be made up myself to fit the story.

Galar’s Martial Prodigy?

*Crack*

Multiple boulders were raised out of the ground as they floated over to Lairon. Alain who was still observing the battlefield finally made a move.

"{Ember} Charmeleon then close the gap."

"Send one rock to attack, then three more outside his vision." I casually say.

*Crackle*

Charmeleon sent a horde of embers towards Lairon. But to Alain and the audience's surprise but mostly confusion, Lairon doesn't move and tanks the hit which didn't look like it did anything.

Not a single scratch to its side.

Soon after this multiple rocks were hurled at the flame Pokemon. Charmeleon not one to take a hit for no reason, dodges the first boulder but the first was used as a distraction.

'This should be interesting.' I thought to myself wanting to see what would happen.

When battling a Charmeleon tend to only care about what's in front of them. This usually decides on what it will do next even if its trainer gives it a move to use at the time. So I thought back then if I remove the Pokemon's initial central vision. Charmeleon won't see the boulders that will be hurled towards him from his peripheral vision.

You'd think that this strategy would work for other Pokemon, but they can save themselves because of their trainer's words and dodge. But for a stubborn Charmeleon, they only focus on what's in front or they multi-task and get hit either way.

And if they do turn around, they will be met by an attack from behind. So in all, they are basically stuck with a lose-lose choice.

*Crack*

"Charr..." Charmeleon was able to dodge the first attack but didn't see three extra boulders that got outside of its vision. Alain who saw this got a frown on his face but didn't panic.

"Charmeleon there are boulders behind you, dodge it," Alain shouts realising that his situation is bad. The Pokemon matchups weren't in his favour, this is made even worse that he couldn't purely overpower my Pokemon.

Charmeleon turning around only spots one of the boulders to its right and not the others. The flame Pokemon thinking a bit decided to keep an eye on Lairon and ran forward to close the gap.

'As expected out of the two outcomes.' I thought with a sly grin.

"Lairon use {Head Smash} while sending out the rest of your {Rock Tomb} to corner it" I command. Charmeleon who was able to dodge one of the three boulders behind it, ends up getting hit from its behind and left side sending it flying forward.

"Charmeleon get up and use {Metal Claw}!"

But with the battle not going in his favour, Charmeleon was sent right in front of the attacking Lairon who was charging at the flame Pokemon with a super effective {Head Smash}.

Miraculously Charmeleon was able to regain itself and stood up. Seeing the impending iron armour Pokemon on ahead, the flame Pokemon sidestepped and attacked.

With a silver hue on its claws Charmeleon aimed for the side of Lairon's body to which it made a weird noise.

*ting*

The hit just made a high-pitched noise which surprised the attacker as the flame Pokemon widened its eyes. Its opponent didn't even flinch like the {Metal Claw} never happened.

Charmeleon used {Metal Claw} again which just had the same effects as last time.

Nothing...

Its opponent's skin is too tough for Charmeleon's attack.

While this was happening Lairon wasn't idle and trapped Charmeleon with boulders. Leaving Charmeleon with no escape as the only place with an opening was behind Lairon.

Lairon didn't let Charmeleon recover however and quickly charged itself and charged.

"Jump up Charmeleon!" Alain says seeing that he could still salvage the fight. Unluckily for him though, Charmeleon wasn't on the same wavelength as it was caught off guard.

"RONN!" Lairon roars out as it used {Head Smash} again ramming into Charmeleon and dragging it to one of the boulders in front, smashing the boulder with Charmeleon's body in between.

*Crack*

"Charmeleon no!" Alain cries out seeing his partner practically get bulldozed.

*Thud*

Charmeleon falling off Lairon's head hits the ground without any movement showing that it has fainted. The referee walking up to the Pokemon soon after confirms this and announces the winner.

"Charmeleon is unable to battle making Lairon the winner. The victory goes to Forrest Harrison from Pewter City!" The referee announces which funnily included my city. I guess they only say it because there is a big audience actually paying attention

Making my way to the middle of the battlefield I could see Alain holding Charmeleon in his arms. Walking up to him I extend my hand.

"Good battle," I say as a tradition after a Pokemon battle. Alain returning his Charmeleon to its Pokeball, stands up and takes my hand. It seems like he already bounced back from the loss.

"You're Lairon's very strong, hopefully, we cross paths again." He responds shaking my hand. I guess he wasn't a man with many words, not like I do either as I'm the same. Nodding at his words my mind drifts off to how I forgot Squirtle and Clefairy were still next to me.

"Cle clefairy!" The little troublemaker said making fun of Alain while sticking its tongue out.

"Squirtle!" Squirtle soon after did the same not knowing what it actually meant. Instead of the annoyed look I expected from Alain, he ended up laughing from the little interaction.

"Alright, you squirts, stop making a scene," I mumble a little annoyed.

Returning Squirtle and Lairon to their Pokeballs with a sigh, I take away Clefairy's hot cocoa rights for a few weeks. As you could imagine this absolutely devastated the Pokemon.

#GiveHotCocoRightsBack

"Fairy!" It pleaded in my arms which I ignored.

While getting off the battlefield I heard a referee from a different battlefield speak.

"Golbat is unable to battle, making Machoke the winner. The victor goes to Bea Hikaru from Stow-on-Side from the Galar region." The referee announces making the crowd go wild not expecting this outcome.

Hearing the announcement myself I started to hit the reload button on my mind realising who I would be battling next.

'Why is someone like her here?' I questioned myself. Bea who is a future gym leader is someone of the ultra-class in the future. Not including Alain who is in this league, my opponents for this year's Indigo league will be hectic.

'Well, that will only encourage me to do better.' I hype myself up seeing the advantages of this. It will push me to train harder in these up and coming months.

"I'll need to return you Clefairy," I say without taking no for an answer. Clefairy who was already used to the "bullying" at this point just looked at me with an annoyed look.

"Clefairy fairy," Clefairy said as she face-planted to the floor with no movement. Chuckling at her antics I put her back into her Pokeball.

*Phsszszst*

With this, I made my way to the main stage.

Before the match when we had our short break. I did some research on Bea and it seemed like everything was gonna be against me in this battle.

[4-Year-Old Martial Arts Prodigy!]

[Galar's Strongest Physical Fighter]

[Bea going to the Indigo League?!]

Multiple articles were written about her and the achievements she received at a young age. A woman who is hard working and strives for perfection in her craft, she is no slouch.

But will it transfer over to a Pokemon battle? We'll see as she's definitely had that Machoke for longer than I owned Lairon. When she won her battle against Janine, the audience was full-on swearing which I understood, but that doesn't really excuse their behaviour.

I guess I would be salty though if my region's strongest trainer hails from a different region altogether though. We are experiencing quite the drought right now with talent.

"Let's do this," I mumble clenching my Pokémon's Pokeball. Now for this battle, you would think that Scyther would be an excellent choice here, but that's a whole mistake on its own.

Delving into a physical battle with a fully trained Machoke is a joke if it could instantly grab Scyther and pin it to the ground.

Even if I tried to use {Double Team} and try to slowly wiggle its stamina out, from my experience it has the potential to just use {Focus Energy} which enhances its senses and {Bullet Punch} away.

Walking up to the huge stadium I was standing in earlier today for the start of the tournament, I could hear the voices of the crowd go crazy.

"Beat that Galar sl*t!"

"Don't let our region get beat, you better win for Kanto!"

"Kyaaa date me, Forrest!"

"Forrest just pull out your Dad's Tyranitar!"

Multiple screams could be heard as I got into position. But seriously though these people in the stands don't have a filter or something?

Like damn regional rivals must be tuff if we get clapped by every other one. I mean some other region's strongest trainers use Kanto Pokemon as their ace funnily enough.

Our own strongest trainer is someone from Johto like Kanto needs someone. So I guess Janine and I fit the role the best besides Gary Oak. No one else from Kanto that I know fits the bill besides us three.

Looking on ahead I see Bea. She was a fit girl with tan skin and grey eyes that shone with intensity. Her grey hair was cut into a bob-cut and had a black and yellow ribbon tied together.

Bea with her karate gi was covering all of her body as she made a stance.

'Bruh.' I deadpan watching her making a fighting stance before the battle. I guess do whatever to boost your morale before a match, it must work if she does it in the finals.

Waiting for the referee to start the match, I just stand there awkwardly as Bea was practically stretching with her ridiculous flexibility.

"We are now up to the finalists of this month's rookie tournament! Many new talents from all over the world have participated and are shining gems. The fight for third place was won by Alain over Janine which leads us up to the finals now.

Give it up for Forrest Harrison and Bea Hikaru!" The announcer shouts which got a lot of reactions from the crowd. Blocking the crowd out, I started to lock in by slapping my cheeks.

*Slap*

"Let's do this," I say with a determined look. Bea who saw this kept neutral and readied herself. Shortly after this, the beginning of the finals started with the whistle of the referee.

*Whistle*

Hearing this both Bea and I sent out our battler for this fight.

"Machoke!"

"Lairon!"

Both Pokemon immediately started to square each other up as the pressure of the battle started to set in. This battle was being broadcast to people all over but mainly Kanto. It's a small detail I forgot but these types of events are a tradition to watch and follow the trainers who are shown to be talented.

Seeing Bea wait for my first move, I make it knowing that she couldn't immediately get a counterattack.

"Lairon use {Rock Tomb}, hold half of em and send the rest," I command wanting to test the waters with the Machoke in front of me. I did scout some opponents but unfortunately, I was never able to see her matches.

She either finished her matches before me or we both were in the middle of a battle.

*Crack*

A huge number of boulders were lifted from the ground as Machoke got into a martial arts stance.

"RONN!" Lairon shouting releases over half of the boulders towards Machoke which was over 10.

"Don't back down Machoke, use {Bullet Punch} to break them down," Bea shouts doing a little kick. With the boulders being hurled towards Machoke, its fists got a silver hue as it rushed forward.

*Crack* *Crack* *Crack*

One by one, three at a time and all at once it didn't matter. Machoke doing a single jab was so fast, the boulders looked like they broke themselves while Machoke's hands were a blur.

The audience even with their biases was in awe at the display and started to clap. Machoke was dodhing and weaving as the fight kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

"Get in close for a {Dynamic Punch}!"

"Use a boulder to disrupt it and use {Dragon Rush}."

Both Pokemon charging energy up make a dash at each other at the same time. Lairon had a purple hue with that energy started to shape up into a dragon head. Machoke was also charging up the energy with its fists glowing a very saturated brown.

With this, both Pokemon roared out as they closed the distance.

"RONNNN!"

"CHOKEEE!"
