Now on his feet up in the middle of a dark room with his other siblings there. "I'm Forrest?" Looking around David was shaken as he assessed his situation. The Story will be more realistic with add-ons by myself of course. But I won't make the story "dark" as I enjoy Pokemon for the brighter side of the series and catching Pokemon. Some cities, towns, or small pieces of information will be made up myself to fit the story.

Clefairy’s New Move

"I'll see you sometime else Paul, was a good trip," I say waving back at the guy. Paul looking at me waves back with a smirk with Elekid by his side doing the same.

'Seems like he's ready for his gym battle.' I thought seeing the distant figure of the guy leaving. Taking my thoughts back I hugged Clefairy, enjoying her company.

I kind of stopped sending her out for a few days to have Squirtle by my side.

She might still be salty about that…

"FAIRY!" The little fluff shouted with its eyeballs practically popping out.

After going different ways from Paul my next destination was gonna be the Pokemon Centre. Now it's time to get a healing move for lil cotton ball over here.

*Click*

Taking my Pokedex out I find the nearest one and head towards the place. It took only a few minutes as if it was more convenient for trainers who just arrived in the city.

If the place was too far from all common entrances, then that's bound to dissuade trainers from coming here.

The Pokemon Centre looked like any other one but what made it stand out so much was the overall space. All surrounding it were huge buildings up to 20+ stories. While this Pokemon centre looked a bit out of place taking a huge chunk of land.

It had a garden on the outer edges of the plot of land and a path that lead to the place. Walking through the ongoing crowd I suddenly get bumped to the side.

"I'm sorry! My Pokemon is injured!" A kid frantically said while sprinting.

"Probably lost to Lt. Surge," I murmur patting my shoulder. After this little interaction I finally entered the place, as the automatic doors opened my eyes were greeted by a sorry sight.

A multitude of people with worried faces everywhere. Sitting on a bench, at the tables in the cafe or standing up. They all had faces of people with anxiety or something man.

'How crude is Surge? Mans making these people cry. But I guess that does split the weaker of the crowd.' I thought walking forward.

Unfortunately, there was a line that was probably gonna happen eventually due to the bullied trainers. As the line in front started to shorten, I'm suddenly greeted by the woman herself.

"Hello there trainer what are you here for?" Nurse Joy with a hoarse voice asked. The woman trying to be as friendly as possible with grey bags under her eyes made her admire the Nurse.

"I'm here to see if you can teach my Clefairy over her {Heal Pulse}," I say pointing to my little passenger.

"Fairy!" Clefairy cutely says doing a peace sign.

Who could even say no to her glorious presence?

I go off and start to explain how her cousin should have given her a call and told her beforehand. Nurse Joy who heard my words got a confused expression before remembering.

"Oh I remember now, unfortunately, I can't teach her the move right now due to how busy I am. But there's an alternative." Nurse Joy saying this scurried off leaving the front desk in a hurry after confirming who I was.

Raising my eyebrows at this it didn't take long before she came back. With this trip back she was now holding some sort of pink disk.

'Is that what I think it is?' I thought with anticipation.

Nurse Joy who was now in front of me handed the disk and got in close.

"This is a {Heal Pulse} TM, don't tell anything about it alright?" She whispers to which I just crookedly nodded. Nurse Joy getting a warm smile waved me off after I took the disc and left the centre.

'I need to try this now!'

With a bit of urgency, I speed walk to a bench close by with Clefairy still in my grasp. Taking a seat I put Clefairy on the floor and grab the TM.

"Clefairy I need you to not move."

Clefairy taking this as an order did a salute and got a serious face. Taking it upon myself, I take the disk and let it rest on Clefairy's head.

"Cle?"

The little cotton ball getting a confused look started to absorb some memories from the disk. The colour of it started to fade away before it became fully see-through. Signifying that the TM was now used up and empty.

With all of the pink colour gone I sigh in relief knowing everything's alright.

'If this thing broke I would never let myself see the day of light again.'

In the Pokemon world healing moves are a rare thing that not everyone can have. This is even more apparent when a single family monopolises the industry with the Pokemon Centre.

The Joy family has fully overtaken the world of medicine and Pokemon science. This first started when they first took all the Pokemon with healing moves they could and got a monopoly over them.

With those healing Pokemon being already rare, it just became even more impossible.

But TMs exist, don't they?

Well, they do.

But before they were ever released to the public the Joy family bought the rights by offering so much money and benefits, the Silph Co company couldn't resist.

"A TM like that could go well over the tens of millions," I murmur looking at the ecstatic Clefairy. She seemed to have successfully learnt the move.

Even then you would be hunted on the streets and routes before you could sell one. Plus the price would drastically increase due to the limited amount sold.

'Nurse Joy probably took this after getting the call. There's no way they keep something so valuable in the storing right? Maybe stealing isn't too ba-"

Before I got any more bad thoughts, I went back to the task at hand to confirm some things.

Taking a Pokeball out of my bag I send out a Pokemon.

*Phsszsst*

"Graveler?"

The Pokemon looking around got confused seeing no opponent. Telling him to calm down I eagerly encourage Clefairy to heal him.

We had just arrived in Vermillion at least an hour ago, I wasn't able to heal all my team members.

"Cle clefairy! (Leave to me, big bro!)"

Clefairy walking up to Graveler extended its two hands in front. With this, a dim glow appeared and Clefairy successfully pulled off the move.

"Veler~," The Pokemon said feeling relaxed. It seems like this move has some sort of relaxing properties.

After a few more seconds the healing finished as the wave of green all over Graveler's body disappeared.

Looking over at the results with interest my team should be ready for the gym. I'm certain Graveler should be all healed up as I double-checked with my Pokedex.

He was already almost fully healed so Clefairy only healed a little bit.

The rest of my Pokemon are fine so returning Graveler, I pick up Clefairy in a jovial mood and head towards this City's gym.

"You are currently only allowed to do the normal battle seeing your badges. The difficulty only increases if you got official badges as our leader thinks alliance gyms are rubbish." The woman at the counter explains to which I nod.

There isn't anything too disadvantageous from this battle. I already know the team he's gonna use so I've gotten counters for them on my team.

Even then my ace could probably sweep this gym anyways.

'Let's get this show on the road.' I thought walking up to the battlefield.

The wait for my turn was just a few minutes as a kid right before scurried out with tears. Going through a little dark tunnel, the bright light of the stadium hits my eyes suddenly as I arrived.

"Now that's bright," I murmur covering my eyes.

"I've got to agree with ya pipsqueak, you my next challenger?" A deep voice said next to me.

"FAIRRYY!" The little Pokemon screamed in fear as it only saw a huge shadow looming over the two of us. But I wasn't scared, I already knew who it was.

Turning my head the man himself, the trainer humbler.

Lt. Surge.

Surge, a man somehow reaching 8 feet. Was wearing a green tank top, camouflage-designed shorts and glasses. His spiky yellow hair was eccentric and added to the intimidating look.

"Yes sir, this will be my first official gym challenge," I respond with a wide grin. The huge guy getting my vibe also got a smirk realising I was looking forward to this.

Lt. Surge taking some sort of iPad out of his pockets looked at it and myself back and forth.

"Your that rat's son huh? Didn't think that man after abandoning his family had the guts to go back." He murmured with hollow eyes while clenching his fist. To which I barely heard the last part as it sent shivers down my spine. "This won't be as boring as the others at least, you should have a good head on top of your shoulder."

After this little confrontation, we each went to separate sides of the grounds and got ready. A referee went up to the middle of the field and announced the match.

"This will be an official gym battle between Forrest Harrison and Gym Leader Surge. The battle will be a three-on-three battle and only the challenger can switch out with three in total." The referee says announcing the rules.

With the battle about to commence, I grip the Pokeball in my hand ready to go.

"Start!"

With that, both of us sent out our first Pokemon for this battle.

*Phszszst*

"Magnemite…"

"Tyrogue!"

Both Pokemon started to get into a stare-down, and I realised that Lt. Surge isn't so graceful to wait.

"Magnemite {dundaboult) now!" He commands losing his lax face and getting a serious look. Knowing that this move would be incredibly hard to dodge I picked just the right Pokemon.

While Graveler resists electric-type attacks, he would still be weakened and would need rest. He would be better used for the later battles.

"Use {Mind Reader} to dodge into a {Bullet Punch}," I shout. Tyrogue getting a glow in its eyes dashed to the right effectively dodging the incoming attack.

It then proceeded to enhance its hands with metal energy and launch itself towards the Pokemon

"{Supasonick} before it can hit you Magnemite." He calmly says assessing the situation.

'He's already closed the gap, I've lost my advantage. A draw would be the most beneficial here. No point dragging this out.' Surge thought with his analysis and straightforward battle style. He doesn't waste time or efficiency.

While his thoughts were running wild his Pokemon on the other hand sent waves of noise to Tyrogue.

"Stop your attack and dodge the wave. Then go for a {Fake Out}."

Tyrogue punching the ground stopped its momentum and leapt to the side doing a roll. This effectively gave it more space to attack.

"Rogue!"

Tyrogue goes forward to flinch his opponent then after deal a massive blow, doesn't make it in time.

"Magnemite use {Explosion}." Lt. Surge said with a scarily neutral face making me widen my eyes. As Tyrogue went forward I tried to stop him.

"Tyrogue ru-"

*Boom!*

A decently huge explosion created a dust cloud which covered up the two Pokemon. After a few seconds the dust went away as the two opponents were seen laying flat on the ground.

A small crater could be seen which was decently big.

The referee seeing the swirls in both of their eyes shortly announced the results.

"The battle is a tie making them both eliminated, trainers please send out your next Pokemon."

Returning Tyrogue with a visible frown on my face. I take another Pokeball from my pocket knowing what Surge's next Pokemon is.

'I didn't think the man would be this straightforward. At least trade a few hits but in hindsight it would probably be a one or two shot.' I thought regaining myself.

At this rate the battle won't last for more than ten minutes. But that didn't matter, it was who will win this battle.

*Phsszszst*

"Graveler!"

"Pikachu!"

Graveler squaring up the little electric mouse, got a serious expression wanting to crush it. Now that the real battle was gonna begin, my face lost all expression and I locked in.

'It's time for the plan to begin.'
