Pokemon Barry Version

We all know the world of Pokemon; whether we played the games or watched the anime. We have seen all the generations from the time of Red in Gen one to Gen nine where those paldea kids I forgot their name are. This is the story of Barry, a transmigrated Pokemon trainer on his journey to become the greatest.

Visiting Ash

Barry watched the professor with a perplexed look on his face. It seemed like he was doing math by the time it was done.

"Well I guess this isn't too bad." He muttered to himself.

He always liked when there was something easy to understand that he didn't know. That meant he just had to learn it and it would stick to him.

"'This isn't too bad' Do you even understand the complex thing gramps just said, not a single thing really stuck without making me confused and you say 'This isn't too bad.' Like where is your emotion! You weren't even among those who did history in the Pokémon Academy! You neglected the subject after the first semester!"

"Thanks Gary, you're the best motivational speaker out there. Just keep going like this and one day, you would give a good philosophy." Barry replied the Oak with sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"Sheesh, whatever. You guys can find your hotels by yourself, right? I'm not gonna be dropping you off like you guys are my children, I'm too young to feel 20 years older."

Gary walked out of the lab, he wasn't going to the hotel, he was going home. The Oak was too lazy to drop them off and too annoyed.

"I can't believe you guys are related, the two of you are polar opposites." Barry told the only other Oak in the room.

"That's what you get for being the over pampered grandson of the famed Prof. Oak." Blue replied before walking out on the rest of them.

It was just recently (yesterday) that Barry found out that Blue wasn't directly related to Prof. Oak. He wasn't directly related to Prof. Oak as the professor was more of a granduncle than a grandfather.

Blue's grandfather was Professor Oak's brother, the brother of Prof. Oak had a son and that son married and had Blue.

Gary was Prof. Oak's grandson while Blue wasn't. Still, Professor Oak still preferred Blue's presence to Gary due to the fact that the former was more reserved, calm and even when he had pride it wasn't an overwhelming ego like that of Gary.

"I'll see you later, Red." Blue said before heading out of the lab.

Before long Red followed by Leaf and the other teen were out leaving only him and Ash.

"Hey Ash."

"What?"

"Can I come over? I have some things I want to ask you."

Ash contemplated for a while before nodding his head in agreement.

"I'm sure mom will allow." He muttered to himself before leading Barry back.

While going to Ash's home Barry mostly had his eyes widened when he saw the street. The street barely had any stores in it, mostly with non-commercial buildings. It was just houses, upon houses, on houses.

This was an ideal place for a restaurant as this didn't look like a street for trade. Barry understood the structure and the effect this would have on bachelors who couldn't cook.

"I'm home!" Ash shouted as he opened the door.

What could be seen was a standard living room with some green couches with pillows that were obviously hand-made to suit the couch.

The dining room could also be seen from the entrance. It had a total of 4 chairs in it, but, considering how much of Ash, Ash was, whenever he was home from the boarding school (Pokémon Academy) he would always sit right next to his mother.

…(Gary's view)

A young man with blonde hair walked through the park while kicking a stone. He was actually quite angry with his grandpa, this was mainly due to the fact that instead of revealing this piece of information to him beforehand…

He decided to tell everyone the same thing at the same time. While he was considered a prodigy among his peers he still wasn't a super-genius.

The info that was being given was so complex that he was surprised when Barry was able to answer a question… Come on, he was the lowest of all the top students.

To enter his grandpa's potential sponsors list one needed to get 100% in all of his or her courses throughout the term of his/her stay during the Pokémon Academy.

That being said, all of the people that his grandpa had offered the sponsorship had 100% as their overall score throughout their entire stay in the Pokémon Academy. After that Professor Oak would assess the examiner's script and based on how close it was to the Pokémon he would grade that.

Barry in Professor Oak's examination came up last.

So Gary was astonished when Barry was able to answer the impossibly hard question his gramps had put up. He didn't even ask how fire was formed, but he went straight to many centuries before any of them were born.

And somehow, the lowest scorer managed to provide the answer.

It just didn't add up.

His gramps allowed them to learn that 2x2=4.

But he was trying to restructure that view by imposing the fact that 2+1+1 also= to 4.

'The fact that gramps gave us all baby Pokémon doesn't actually help in this case." Gary complained to no one.

If this was a Pokémon passed the infant stage Gary would have already started training it's bones off. But it was still in the infant stage… Newly hatched.

Even making it run laps wasn't going to help with anything… No, it was more like he couldn't make it run laps. It might faint or break something from exhaustion and that would cause permanent damage that would hinder it when it finally became a Blastoise.

"This just isn't fair!!" Gary shouted to no one.

Thus was the life of a spoiled brat who was never used to being on the losing side. One could only imagine how bad it would be for Gary if he didn't win in the Indigo League.

It would be easy for him to blame his loss to a gym leader as they had more experience than him. But… if he was to lose to Ash… you don't want to know the results.

"Squirtle, come out." Gary said silently to himself.

As the Pokéball dropped from the air it released a blue Pokémon that had a shell. This was his baby squirtle.

It would be hard to differentiate it from a normal squirtle as it didn't look different from an adult Pokémon. But, he was made to be aware from his learnings at the Pokémon Academy.

Squirtle dropped on the ground. Though, that did not hurt the Pokémon at all as it just observed its surroundings.

"Squirtle, today you're going to begin simple training…" Gary started.

No, he wouldn't let the fact slide that his Pokémon would lose to any of the others. Even his cousin!

Blue's POV…

A young man that somewhat looked similar to the grandson of the great Professor Oak walked back to his home. He was albeit more calmer and responsible than the person he was sometimes mistaken for.

He too was if not a little angry about the recent developments. Gary had been telling him that as soon as he got his Pokémon he would set his sights for the first gym.

But, as they got their Pokémon not only did Blue realize that the Pokémon were still in the infant stage, but they still had to take extra classes on archaeology.

And the worst of all, he was unable to battle Red. He always promised Red that he would beat him before they left the town.

He knew that he would still kick his rival's ass, but still, it was taking too much time.

He was training his Squirtle on the move bite. Even if it was in the infant stage, as long as he didn't give it anything too hard it wouldn't be impossible to start teaching it a move.

He also released the Pokémon to play which should do something to increase it's overall stamina and endurance stat.

"I also plan on beating the Bulbasaur user, Pikachu user and the Charmander users!" That was what he declared to himself.

His goal was not to win the indigo league.

What kind of idiot based their goals on a regional event that even people from outside the Kanto region could join… He was going to become a Pokémon Champion!

(A/N: Which one of the young Oaks' is better behaved when he's mad??.)
