Prologue: ROB

A/N: Hey all, BeastSage here, and I hope you all enjoy my first fanfic. It's hopefully going to bring back some of that nostalgia from all those years ago for those of you who played Pokemon Coliseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. However, if you don't know I promise I'll fill you in on the important bits during the story. So without further ado, I give you Pokemon Amethyst!

Edward, who'd been eagerly waiting in line for the Pokemon Sinnoh Remakes just a minute prior, came to in a void of Stars. Glancing around, Edward couldn't help gasping as rotating beneath his feet was the planet Earth as he knew it. He could even see the moon in it's entirety revolving around Earth.

"Am I dead?" Edward questioned aloud. His mind was in disarray as he gazed upon this impossible sight.

" Quite so, my dear lad." An elderly voice called out from the void.

Edward looked towards the voice to see an old man who's sheer presence seemed to warp the space around him. Edward dazed at the sight of black cracks forming in the man's vicinity. Purple lightning could be seen crackling within and the reverberation of it shook his very soul. He snapped out of it and asked the most obvious question, "Are you God?"

"Hohoho You could call me that. I am the one who manages this plane of existence. But I am not the only god, and I am certainly not omnipotent or omniscient." The elderly god chuckled mirthfully as he stroked his beard. He then changed his tone as looked Edward in the eye, " Edward your time on the planet Earth is up, and I won't lie to you it is my responsibility to send you to the next life. Now let me ask you a question."

Edward gulped dryly as he awaited the god's query.

"Would you like to reincarnate into the world of that game you love so much?"

Edward was stunned as he couldn't help but ask for confirmation, " Pokemon?"

"That's right lad, as Pokemon is an actual plane of existence, and as it's administrator I will sometimes send people of good character to that world after they died as a reward. I know what your thinking, and yes I did leak the stories of that world to those here for a reason. As I'm sure your aware the plane Pokemon exists in has many diverging timelines such as that of Pokemon Sword & Shield with Dynamax/Gigantamax Pokemon, or Pokemon X & Y with it's MegaEvolution. Pokemon are such fantastical creatures, and cause so much change for those around them whether ill or benign. I can guarantee your safety up till you officially start your own journey, but after that I won't intervene. Now you best be on your way..." The god waved his hand in dismissal.

Edward could feel his soul being pulled away from this plane of existence. Frantic, he called out, "Wait you never said what you wanted me to do?!"

"I'm sure you'll figure it out, and have a good life lad, bye now." Waving his hand once again, Edward turned into a beam of light disappearing into the void of space.

"Hahh, hopefully the lad doesn't blame me for this as his journey will be more difficult than most." The god let out a heavy sigh before fading out of existence as if he'd never been there to begin with.
