SP 1: Gary VS Leaf

AUTHORS NOTE :

(This is the first out of many special chapters. This chapters will include events that happen out of the MC story, to other characters like Gary, Leaf, Gold ech. This events can include some special Pokemon captures or encounters, Battles between important characters, Gym battles, ech. If you don't read them, you aren't missing something from the main story. I only write them to give more screen time to the secondary characters and have some more battles with different strategies than the MC and to also keep tabs on the growth of the secondary characters teams).

1 Hour before Wes reached Viridian city.

Leaf was searching for any Grass Type Pokemon in Route 22, but without any luck. At least she had found something better. Her childhood and current crush Gary fighting a wild Mankey with a Nidoran♂.

Gary: Nidoran♂ use Hone Claws.

Nidoran♂ started classing his claws with eachother, while Mankey did a Low kick for little damage.

GARY: Nidoran♂ use Mud Slap and then Peck.

Nidoran♂ then threw a pile of mad that hit Mankeys face making it to pause at it's tracks. Then Nidoran♂ Hit it with his horn using the Peck move smashing the Mankey on a tree, where it fell on the ground completely knocked out.

Gary: Good job Nidoran♂. Wait a minute, who do we have here? A stalking mis Leaf

LEAF: NO stalking!!!

Leaf screamed embarrassed, with an even more red face, than a Pikachu's electric sacks.

LEAF: I was searching for a Grass Type Pokemon but i haven't found one in this Route. So while i was searching i ended seeing your battle. Is this Nidoran♂ your new second Pokemon?

GARY: No i just caught him yesterday along with a Spearow. My second one was obtained from a breeding base in Saffron City. Hey Leaf, if you want a Grass Type, the best place to find one close to here are wild Bellsprouts at Viridian Forest.

LEAF: Thanks Garry. Hey are you in for a 1vs1 pokemon battle against me?

Leaf asked with excitement on her face wanting to so the growth of her Bulbasaur to Garry in order to impress him.

GARY: OK you are on. Lets go Abra.

LEAF: Bulbasaur go.

Then in an open road an Abra and a Bulbasaur faced eachother totally ready for combat.

LEAF: Bulbasaur use Leech Seed.

GARY: Abra use Teleport to avoid the attack

Then Abra disappeared and avoided the Leech Seed, while appearing behind Leaf's Bulbasaur which made Gary smirk.

GARY: Ok Abra Fire Punch.

Then a Abra hit Bulbasaur from behind with a fist full of flames. Bulbasaur screamed in pain and wisps of flames could be seen around Bulbasaur. Meaning that she got the Burn Status condition.

LEAF: Bulbasaur use Reflect then Vine Whip

Bulbasaur used both moves instantly but Abra managed to dodge with a Teleport again appearing again from behind.

LEAF: Bulbasaur use Tackle behind you.

GARY: Abra use Fire Punch.

Then Leaf's Bulbasaur was a bit faster in her reaction than Garry's Abra. Abra was send flying in this quick paced exchange.

Gary: Abra Psywave.

Then Abra as it was flying backwards realised a wave of psychic energy hiting Bulbasaur hard.

Leaf's Bulbasaur was really unlucky at this exchange since Psywave is a move that deals randomly 50% to 150% damage to the target hit equal to the users Level. And Abra managed to roll a 150%. Then afterwards Bulbasaur was dealt damage because of the burn Status and it fainted.

LEAF: Bulbasaur no!!!

GARY: Amazing battle Abra.

Leaf than returned Bulbasaur to it's Pokeball with, disappointment in her battle. She was caught off guard by Abra's Teleport Move and lost.

GARY: My Abra got you good. You should better go to the Pokemon Center to heal your Pokemon. As for me i will go to Viridian Forest to reach Pewter City as fast as possible.

LEAF: Ok. But next time i will do better than you.

GARRY: Smell ya later.

LEAF: Good luck at the gym.

Then both of them after the said they're good byes left together for Viridian City. Then Garry left for the forest l, with a lot if confidence to reach Pewter City, while Leaf went in a hurry to the Pokemon Center in disappointment and with renewed conviction to train harder than ever before.

GARY'S TEAM:

1: Squirtle: male LV 10. Ability: Torrent. Item: no

Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Refresh (Baby),

Water Spout (Baby), Water Gun, Withdraw.

2: Abra: male LV 8 Ability: Magic Guard. Item: no

Moves: Teleport, Ice Punch (Baby), Fire Punch (Baby), Psywave (Baby).

3: Nindoran: male. LV 5 Ability: Rivalry Item: no

Moves: Lear, Peck, Mud Slap (Baby), Hone Claws (Baby).

4: Spearow: male LV 4 Ability: Keen Eye Item: no

Moves: Growl, Peck, Lear, Quick Attack (Baby), Focus Energy (Baby).

LEAF'S TEAM:

1: Bulbasaur: female LV 11 Ability: Chlorophyll Item: no

Moves: Tackle, Growl, Bide (Baby),

Reflect (Baby), Leech Seed, Vine Whip.
