Chapter 4: Viridian City

It was the next day in a blink of an eye and it was once again time for school. Hideshi sat in his seat thinking that he would go to Viridian City later today to find Aunt Keiko and ask to borrow an incubator when class was over.

As I was thinking about it. Akichi at the same table turned around. Akichi had fire red hair and strong features, and he was looking at me with a silly smile.

Everyone who saw him thought he was an honest person, of course, it wasn't like he was a dishonest guy. But sometimes 'the thief doesn't look like an honest person at all'. Akichi turns to ask, "Hideshi, didn't you go to capture your first Pokémon yesterday?"

Hideshi, "Umm...."

Akichi, "Do you have it? What Pokémon is it?"

Hideshi "No I didn't capture any Pokemon yesterday, but I did pick up a Pokemon egg."

Akichi was surprised, "A Pokemon egg? Such good luck! Do you know what Pokémon it is?"

Hideshi replied, "How could I? Only when a Pokemon is hatched can I know what Pokémon it is."

Akichi suddenly realized putting his arm behind his back, "Oh, Yeahh"

Next, he asked, "Hideshi, I also got my first Pokémon yesterday. Do you know what Pokémon is?"

Hideshi took a look at Akichi who wanted to show off and replied, "I don't know."

Akichi said happily, "It's a Mankey."

[Fighting Type, and the pre-evolutionary form of Primeape].

A very good initial Pokémon, Akichi's father used to be an apprentice at a Fighting Gym, but he returned to the town of Viridian when he was too untalented and was eliminated.

With a job as the head of a construction team, his family's financial situation is much better than Hideshi's.

Akichi's initial starter pokémon Mankey is probably the offspring of his father's Primeape.

After a hard time getting through class. Hideshi hurried to Viridian City.

In about half an hour, he finally arrived in Viridian City and entered the city.

After a section of the road, I came to the commercial street of Viridian City. It's very lively everywhere, and the streets are full of various shops and vendors.

Many of them sell things that the daily man needs.

Want to buy anything Pokémon related however you usually have to go to the main department store as businesses need a special license to sell Pokemon items.

As Viridian City, which has the Viridian Gym, is extremely prosperous, all kinds of people pass by Hideshi.

Some Pokémon, are following normal folks while other people have powerful Pokemon around them, these kinds of people are usually trainers that are travelling.

Some of them are here to challenge the Viridian Gym, and some are just passing by.

But this has nothing to do with Hideshi. He finally found the Day Care where Aunt Keiko works according to his memory.

This Day Care is in a relatively quiet place.

Although the name in front says "Pokemon house", it is not small at all. It is similar to a basketball building. The whole building has three floors and a huge backyard.

Day Care is very busy. There are many guests inside and out.

Hideshi found Aunt Keiko's silhouette among the busy crowd.

Hideshi walked into the store, but no one came to welcome Hideshi, as everyone is too busy.

Hideshi saw that Aunt Keiko was giving an elegant Persian a massage, standing next to a beautifully dressed lady.

A Persian is an elegant Pokémon and is very popular among the nobles in the city, so Hideshi didn't bother Aunt Keiko and instead just wandered around.

You can see all kinds of Pokémon here, and you can even see Pokémon from other regions.

For example, Hideshi just saw a Florges, Buneary, Skitty etc

Seeing the three initial starter Pokemon is not uncommon here. This makes Hideshi very excited.

The see if there is any cool Pokemon Hideshi walked into the back garden.

In the back garden, there are large rocks, vegetation and rivers for all kinds of Pokémon rest and play in it.

"My God, who owns this Dragonite?" shouted Hideshi in excitement.

Hideshi didn't come closer to Dragonite and just carefully observed from a distance in case he woke it up from his shouting.

This is the first time he has seen Quasi-Legendary. The Dragonite opened one eye and found that someone was watching him, however, did not respond as he couldn't see any threat and therefore continued to Rest.

After looking around, I found a place near Aunt Keiko and sat down and waited for Aunt Keiko to finish.

Keiko, who was just finished, saw Hideshi and walked over and said, "Hello Hideshi, why have you visited your Aunt today?"

Hideshi, "Aunt Keiko, would I be able to borrow the incubator?"

Keiko was stunned, "Why? Do you have a Pokemon egg to hatch?"

Then Hideshi told Aunt Keiko about picking up the Pokemon egg yesterday.

Keiko said, "I have no right to lend the incubator in the store."

Hideshi panicked when he heard this, "What should I do?"

Keiko saw Hideshi's anxious look and didn't want to disappoint him so thought for a while and said, "Let's do it anyway! Hideshi, send me the Pokemon egg to Day Care, and your aunty will help you hatch it."

Hideshi smiled happily, "Really? Thank you, Aunt Keiko."

"I will go back now and bring the Pokemon egg."

After speaking to Aunt Keiko, he ran out. Keiko looked at Hideshi while he was running away and laughed, "Such an impatient child just like his mother."

Hurrying home, he put the Pokemon egg in his backpack and started to run back in a hurry, and when Hideshi arrived at the Day Care, he was already drenched with sweat and gasping for breath.

When I saw Aunt Keiko, I took the Pokemon egg from the backpack and handed it to her.

Aunt Keiko held up the Pokemon egg and looked at it, "Follow me"

Hideshi and Aunt Keiko went to a room on the second floor.

As soon as he opened the door, Hideshi saw rows of Pokemon eggs neatly placed on several machines.

Keiko came to a square instrument and clicked on the machine.

I saw the transparent lid on the machine slowly opening, and Aunt Keiko put the Pokemon egg in it. The lid closed slowly again.

Hideshi was curiously observing Aunt Keiko as she carried on hitting buttons on the machine.

Keiko said to Hideshi, "I have been operating this machine for a while and I just checked with the console this Pokemon egg may hatch in less than two days."

Hideshi was happy to hear this, "Really? Then Aunt Keiko, can you see what Pokémon it is?"

Keiko shook her head: "I don't know for certain, but from my experience, it is probably either Bug Type or Grass Type Pokemon."

Hideshi looked at the incubator for a while before looking back and seeing Aunt Keiko getting ready to head home.

The next day, after class, Hideshi hurried to the Day Care. Once again filled with sweat from running over.

Aunt Keiko laughed when she saw him and told Hideshi to go to the incubator room to have a look.

Hideshi came to the incubator and found his Pokemon egg in the same condition. After looking at it, there was still no change, and he started to walk around the incubator room.

In the end, it was really boring, so I just took out a book in my school bag.

After reading for a while, I suddenly felt something strange in my eyes. Hideshi walked to the instrument and put his hand on the lid.

Hideshi's flashed blue with azure energy bleeding off from it.

Suddenly the Pokemon egg swayed slightly, with Hideshi thinking he was hallucinating.

Immediately after the Pokemon egg began to shake again, Hideshi hurriedly went downstairs and called Keiko up.

Aunt Keiko went upstairs to see that the Pokemon egg was shaking violently and then looked at the nearby instrument.

"It is going to hatch"

However, her voice went on deaf ears as I saw the Pokemon egg emit a vibrant white light.
