Chapter 3

Welcome to Chapter 3!

The drive was quite short, with Lucy and Collei sitting in the back seats talking about random things that came to mind. They arrived at a giant building that had snow everywhere. It was a big building, Lucy was sure that she would have difficulties navigating the school. Though, Lucy was excited as a new chapter of her journey was starting.

"Is that the Ranger school? It looks like a rich kid's school. I am guessing we will get assigned dormitories at some point today." Collei says looking out the window, looking at the school the jeep is approaching. Meanwhile, Lucy is holding tightly onto the handles on the ceiling of the vehicles, as the car keeps slipping on Ice. 

Lucy felt sick, she had her eyes closed trying to control her breathing. Collei heard Lucy and looked at her in understanding, the only reason Collei is not sick is because she is used to this since Amber was not a good driver in the winter. "Hey Rengoku? Can you roll down Lucy's window and try to drive more carefully? You are making Lucy car sick." Collei asks jabbing her thumb in Lucy's direction, Rengoku looks in the rearview mirror and sees what Collei is talking about. He slows down the car a bit and rolls down Lucy's window, she takes advantage of this and slightly leans her head by the window. 

"Thank you." Lucy says as she takes in the slightly icy air. She didn't look at Collei, taking in the icy air of Sinnoh, not noticing the gentle smile Collei had plastered on her face. Though one person did notice it, that being Amber, who was looking at the two with an amused smile, they were going to fall for each other when they got older. 

Amber suddenly frowned as she remembered what Officer Jenny told her and Rengoku, about how Lucy may not be able to feel certain emotions due to her father. Seems to Amber that Lucy might not have good parental figures, she didn't want to push Lucy to tell her though. Lucy had just met the three of them this morning, and the only reason Lucy told Officer Jenny about her life was because she was a police officer, they don't have a strong bond with Lucy yet at all. 

Lucy's skin was also pale, though Amber isn't sure if her pale skin was natural or due to not getting enough vitamins but she was going to get some for Lucy vitamins just in case. Though there isn't much that Amber could do because Lucy has no guardian in Shinnoh. Which also means that Lucy doesn't have a stable income, she would have to talk to one of the teachers about that, Lucy still has to buy stuff but with no money she can't get anything, she knows that they would help she knew that they also do they for students who don't have a stable income. Pokemon rangers are not allowed to get jobs while in school as they are to focus on school and to not stress them out too much, but they can go out to hang out with friends or go shopping. 

Amber will do what she can to help Lucy out this year before she chooses which Ranger school she goes to next after finishing her third year. Even if Lucy doesn't want the help she is gonna get it.

The car soon stopped in front of the school, while Rengoku allowed the students to exit the car, as he had to get back to his team partner at the ranger post he was at. "I wish you all good luck! I know you three will be wonderful pokemon Rangers." He says loudly causing Amber and Collei to jump while Lucy was expecting him to yell, so she wasn't scared. He then drives off. 

Amber had to separate from Collei and Lucy because she wasn't in the same year as the other two. "Be safe you two and try not to get lost!" Amber yells as she runs to get her dorm number. The first year had to go through orientation before they were assigned dorm number. 

"...Where are we supposed to go from here?" Lucy asks as she looks around, as if to find out where she and Collei were supposed to go. Collie was looking around, accidentally bumping into Lucy as she did so. They heard someone walking up to them and turned around. There was a man with black hair and dark colored eyes, this was a person that was a substitute teacher whenever they needed him. Next to the man was a large, avian Pokémon with dark red feathers on its back and dark blue feathers on its underside. Its tail feathers are red, turning to yellow, and then blue at the tips. Its legs are long and thick with yellow feet that each have a digit facing backward, and three facing forward.

"I am guessing you two are first years and need directions. My name is Yagoo and if you two would follow me I will show you where you need to go." Yagoo said as the two girls nod, before walking in a direction with the two girls following.

After the orientation, the girls were given a slip of paper that had numbers on it, they were room numbers, and the person you had a dorm with would be your partner, you could change it if you wanted to but they were randomized. Lucy looked at her paper and the room number she had was 437. Someone puts their hand on Lucy's shoulder causing Lucy to look towards them. She sees Collei, who takes her hand off of Lucy's shoulder.

"What dorm number do you have? I have dorm number 437." Collei asks as she holds up her slip of paper, showing the number that was indeed number 437. Lucy smiled a little and held up her slip of paper, showing Collei that she had the same dorm number as her. 

"Same as you, I am glad because it isn't someone I don't know." Collei let out a sigh in relief, she didn't have to deal with introducing herself to her roommate. Lucy was someone who didn't breach her boundaries and let Collei get comfortable around her.

After getting the keys to their dorm the two decided to rest as school started in five days, to give the students time to get comfortable. The dorm was a little bit hard to find at the campus but when they found their dorm it was huge, it turns out that because some people get huge pokemon the forms were made bigger and more roomy. 

Lucy unlocks the door to their dorm and lets Collei in first, once Collei enters she gasps in amazement, the place didn't have many colors but it was two stories, the first floor being the kitchen and their beds and the second floor being a TV room.

Lucy was also slightly impressed, this dorm was way better than the room she had to share with Lynn was. The two girls walked around the room to familiarize themselves with it. On the second floor there were two futons in front of the Tv, in case they fell asleep watching TV. Collei and Lucy then made food to eat, cause they were strangely stocked up on a lot of things.

The two made Katsudon. They wanted to try it, before heading up to the TV room, putting on a show or movie to watch while they ate. Lucy let Collei choose what they should watch, Collei wanted to put on a show that she thinks Lucy might like and after thinking about it she puts on a show from the United States called 'Ghost Adventures', Lucy has never heard about it before and think it is just a silly cartoon but doesn't say anything. Though Lucy quickly changed her mind when the first episode played. After they finished eating they put their dishes in the sink and washed them, while making sure to pause the show they were watching. Then going back to watch the show more, they ended up falling asleep on separate futons.
