Natsume stared in surprise at Snivy, "You want to battle Arcanine?"

"Snivy~!"

Snivy nodded earnestly.

Natsume, noticing the determination in Snivy's expression, replied, "I understand now."

"In that case, we won't hold back, Snivy."

"Snivy~!"

"Awooo?"

Arcanine looked a bit worried about potentially hurting Snivy.

Natsume reassured, "Arcanine, this is Snivy's own determination."

"We must respect that."

Arcanine nodded and turned to look at Snivy.

"Arcanine, use Extreme Speed!"

The gust of wind surged toward Snivy.

Arcanine thought Snivy would be sent flying by the impact.

But, Extreme Speed missed its target!

Natsume looked up in surprise.

Snivy used Vine Whip to strike the ground, launching itself into the air!

Vine Whip acted like a pole, supporting Snivy's body.

"Chano~!"

Magical Leaf formed and gathered in front of Snivy!

"Arcanine, lift your head and use Flamethrower!"

Arcanine reacted quickly, tilting its head upward and unleashing Flamethrower at the airborne Snivy.

Whoosh!

The flames pierced through Snivy's Magical Leaf!

Although Snivy had strong battle awareness, the level difference between them was too significant.

That hit caused Snivy to lose its Battle Capability and fall from the sky.

Natsume rushed forward, catching Snivy as it plummeted.

"That was impressive, Snivy."

Energy from Eternity Power began to heal Snivy's body in Natsume's hands.

Soon, Snivy was restored.

"Snivy~."

Nestled in Natsume's arms, Snivy slightly raised its head to look at the man before it.

Snivy wondered if it had been acknowledged by Natsume.

Natsume took out a Poké Ball and said, "Snivy, let's work hard together from now on."

The Poké Ball gently touched Snivy.

Ding~

Snivy was officially captured.

"Buneary, Awooo!"

The two Buneary suddenly realized something as they watched the scene unfold.

They hadn't been put in Natsume's Poké Ball yet.

"Buneary."

The two Buneary tugged at Natsume's pant legs, their big eyes looking up at him.

"Yes, yes~"

"You guys, too."

Natsume smiled and took out another Poké Ball, capturing them as well.

Naoki, watching from the side, exclaimed, "I thought you had already captured that Snivy ages ago."

Natsume released Snivy and the Buneary again, saying, "Snivy helped me collect Hearty Grains once."

"So, I let it stay in the Farm to assist."

"Perhaps seeing Arcanine's battle sparked this little one's competitive spirit."

After hearing Natsume's explanation, Naoki paused to think and then realized, "I get it now."

"So, Snivy and Buneary were on an internship, and now they're officially signing contracts, right?"

Natsume smiled, "That's about right."

As he said this, he affectionately rubbed the ears of the two Buneary, "From now on, you're both full-time workers."

"Together, let's make the Farm even better."

"Buneary~"

The Buneary appeared very happy.

Although they didn't fully understand what it meant to be a full-time worker or an intern, they knew their bond with Natsume and the Farm had grown deeper.

Naoki checked the time and said to Natsume, "It's getting dark; I'll be leaving now.

"If I get the chance, I'll come back for a visit."

Natsume replied, "You're always welcome."

"Just follow this road, and you'll reach the village."

"The last bus leaves at six; there's still some time."

Naoki thanked him again, "Okay, I got it."

"Goodbye."

After Naoki left, Natsume took out his phone and opened Farm Story.

Battle Task: Complete a spectacular Pokémon battle.

New Task: Three consecutive victories 1/3

Quest Reward: Based on current Pokémon, draw a set of super Evolutionary stones.

After reviewing the new task, Natsume began to claim the Quest Reward.

Gem Draw.

Natsume clicked "Draw."

Notice: You have obtained a Fire Gem.

"A Fire Gem, just right for Arcanine."

Natsume took out the Fire Gem and tossed it to Arcanine.

"Awooo~"

Arcanine caught it in its mouth.

Whoosh~

The searing flames instantly enveloped Arcanine's body.

"Awooo~"

Arcanine let out a joyful howl and began to run around happily.

Notice: Arcanine's Level has reached 30.

"All done."

Natsume stretched, then patted the Dratini that had run up beside him, saying, "Let's go."

"Let's go swim in the river together."

"Sandslash~"

Sandslash pointed towards the fields.

Natsume smiled at Sandslash and said, "Don't roll around."

"Come play with everyone for a while."

Natsume crouched down, placing his hand on Sandslash's back, "We're not some exploitative factory for Pokémon labor."

"Awooo~"

Arcanine excitedly ran over and knocked Sandslash flying.

"Sandshrew!"

Sandslash stood up and angrily charged at Arcanine.

By the time Naoki arrived home, night had fallen.

He had a habit of documenting his life online.

Although he had fewer than 100 followers, he posted a picture of his home.

Caption: "Today, I was nearly taken out by a Fighting-type Farfetch'd."

"Luckily, I met a farm owner."

"His Pokémon healed my Krokorok and Luxray's injuries."

"Also, the farm owner is a really cool guy with incredible strength."

"His Arcanine defeated both of my Pokémon in a row."

"Unfortunately, I didn't get to battle his Dratini."

"Onward to challenge for my fourth Gym badge!"

Bulbasaur No Worries: "Tell us more about how handsome the farm owner is?"

Naoki: "My phone broke, so I didn't take any pictures."

Magikarp On the Rise: "You already have three badges, and you still got defeated? Your badges must be fake!"

Naoki: "Because he's really that strong!"

Magikarp On the Rise: "Come on, I've challenged gyms too. Getting three Gym badges, even at the city level, isn't that easy!"

Naoki: "You could try it out! His farm is called Takamagahara, located near Rice Fragrance Village."

Magikarp On the Rise: "I just looked it up on the map and couldn't find that place."

Magikarp On the Rise: "Alright, I'm going to check it out. I'll see if this farm owner is really that impressive or if your badges are questionable!"
