Spicy Confession!

"Well enough hugging." Calvin said and drew back. Max smiled.

"You look exactly like Gary." Max said.

"Enough of this Reunion, I want to watch my son battle." May said, looking at the two with a stern eye. Apparently, One of her eyes was bigger than the other like a classical anime scene.

"May! How have you been doing all these years?" Max asked while trembling in fear, He still feared his sister who once had a great and massive crush on Ash until it was revealed that he liked another girl.. Which you will find about in the later chapter [MWAHAHAHA]

They stood on their separate platforms. The Challenger and the Gym leader platform, The arena was colored by a gray color and the inner field was silver colored.

The referee of this match which was an assistant in this gym raised his hands up and declared the battle.

"Begin! Send out your Pokémon!" The referee shouted and they released their Pokémon. The battle began with Max bringing out Swellow (One of his elite Pokémon) and Calvin bringing out Charmeleon.

"Wait...Charmander has evolved." Max said, stunned. It even stunned Silver and the rest of the spectators there.

"This is a battle and it's best that we don't get distracted." Calvin said then his facial expression was replaced with a grin. A grin that made his face look like Gary's in every way.

"Charmeleon! Close in on Swellow then use Ember!" Calvin ordered. Charmeleon ran toward Swellow with the intention of attacking it.

"Swellow! Fly up high and prevent it from attacking!" Max ordered. Swellow left the ground and flew high evading Charmeleon's attack or so it thought. Charmeleon fired a highly concentrated fireball that exploded on Swellow, It managed to block just in time.

"Charmeleon! Slash attack repeatedly!" Calvin ordered. Charmeleon grinned then jumped to Swellow continually slashing it with both speed and precision.

"Swellow! Wing attack!" Max ordered. Swellow flapped it's wings hard generating a whirlwind that was supposed to send Charmeleon to the ground but it didn't. Charmeleon held on to Swellow's tail feathers.

"Alright! Throw it to the ground!" Calvin ordered, showing no mercy. Charmeleon gripped Swellow at full strength throwing it to the ground. This move is known as Seismic Toss which has been added to Charmeleon's move list.

"Swellow!" Max shouted, seeing that his Pokémon was almost drained.

"Flying types are a bad choice against my very Aerobic Charmeleon. Charmeleon! End this! Flamethrower!" Calvin ordered and Charmeleon who was carefully descending to the ground released a Flamethrower so dangerous that it whirred up smoke after coming in contact with Swellow.

After the Smoke cleared up, Swellow could be seen. It had fainted.

"The winner of this Gym battle is Calvin!" The referee announced. Max returned his fallen Pokémon to it's Pokéball.

"It was a pleasure to battle against you, Calvin. Here, have this. You have been the first Pokémon trainer this year to get the Flight Badge." Max said, giving Calvin a badge.

The Flight badge was a Square silver badge with wings crafted on each side, although everything was made with pure silver, It looked beautiful.

"It seems that my son has made me proud." May said and proceeded to hug Calvin and gave Max a knock on the head.

"We are going shopping today. Your clothes are absolutely old school." May said, It didn't sound like she was telling him, It was an order.

"Imagine you see your sister after so many years and this is how you dress." May said.

"But it wasn't my fault, I really didn't know that you were coming today." Max said,

"No excuses, Max or Blaziken will be sufficient to beat you up." May said and Max bowed his head in compliance.

"Who knew that the legendary Petalburg city Gym leader could humbly bow to a woman." The referee said, taunting his Gym leader.

"What did you say?!" May shouted and Blaziken burst out of her Pokéball and beat the guy up.

"A fate worse than death." The referee said after escaping from the ruthless Blaziken with almost no power left.

"I think I am going to challenge the Rustboro city Gym first before I come back here." Silver said.

"Me too." Sylvia said. Her Pokémon hadn't been enough to defeat that pesky Swellow.

Calvin left the Gym and went to Route 2 and Sylvia caught up with him. His expression turned into a Smile, He had already sent Charmeleon back into it's Pokéball.

"Sylvia, Why did you come here?" Calvin said with a wide smile.

"I came to tell you something, Calvin. What I think about your decision...It's not that I don't like you but the problem is I like another guy and unfortunately the feelings I have for him is more than the ones I harbor for you." Sylvia said.

These words hit Calvin like he had been shot. He almost fell over.

"But! What about everything I sacrificed?" Calvin asked. His wide smile became a frown.

"I know, I know but it's that guy I really like." Sylvia said.

"Tell me the name of that guy, I am sure that I am much better than him." Calvin said.

"It's Mark." Sylvia replied, shyly.

Mark who was also listening on this with Silver was shocked. How could Sylvia like him?

These words hit Calvin like a shot to the head this time, restarting his brain.

"You..like..Mark!" Calvin said, managing to gather his wits.

Sylvia wanted to say something but Calvin wasn't done.

"After all I have done for you, For us, and you like Mark! I was always there for you giving you a shoulder to cry on and where was Mark, Nowhere to be found maybe probably practicing with a teacher. I was the one who was always there for you and now you tell me that you prefer Mark to Me!! You know, I give up! I am fuckin' sick and tired of you constantly ignoring me for that Idiot. I know, Mark and I are best friends...and we will always be but me and you, Nothing in this world, Nothing in this universe will ever return the feelings that I once had for you!" Calvin shouted causing everyone to be shocked. They didn't know Calvin had that much Vocabulary in his arsenal.

"Calvin..wait. You don't understand." Sylvia said while bursting into tears, She hated doing this to Calvin.

"I don't need to understand, I know. Now get the hell out of my way." Calvin said, storming back into Petalburg city.
