Evolution!

They made it to the Pokémon center quickly. Silver went to the nurse.

"Good evening, Nurse." Silver said, politely.

"How are you doing?" The Nurse asked.

"Fine. Do you have any rooms available?" Silver asked.

"Yes. Only one is available though." The Nurse said, rising from her desk.

"Wait, Me and my friend over there are planning to book." Silver said.

"Alright, The beds in each rooms are big enough. Both of you can share a Bed." The Nurse said, shrugging her shoulders.

Suddenly, The door burst open and revealed Mark and Sylvia. They were sweating and completely out of breath.

"Nurse, Are there any rooms available?" Mark asked.

"There was only one but these ones came to book it, I'm sorry but we don't have any other rooms remaining. Wait, I have an Idea." The Nurse said, "Why don't the girls share one bed and then the boys can sleep on the couch here. I'm just about to lock up."

Again, The door burst open but this time, There was one man. He was wearing a Costume similar to the regular Team Rocket costume but this was different, Instead of Black, There was blue and he wore Blue glasses.

"Hand over all the Pokémon that you have." He ordered and the nurse began to shake with fear.

"Who the hell are you?" Sylvia asked.

"I am one of the admins of Team Constellation." The Man answered.

'I remember Dad mentioning that there were 2 criminal teams back in the day, Team Magma and Team Aqua but their leaders disbanded them after what happened with Mum in one of the cities.' Calvin thought.

"Lady, Hand over the Pokémon in this center and I promise that you will go unharmed." He said. "I, Team Constellation Admin Ray does not lie."

The trainers wanting to protect the Nurse of Petalburg city launched an Attack, The Four trainers unleashed their Pokémon.

Respectively, Calvin released Charmander.

Sylvia released Treecko.

Mark released Mudkip.

Silver released Ralts.

Even with the decent Combination of these trainers, One attack from the Admin's Pokémon which was a Shiftry caused Treecko, Mudkip and Ralts to faint leaving Charmander alone for the final stand.

"Shiftry! End this Pathetic Excuse for a trainer! Quick Attack!" The admin ordered and Shiftry sped with Quick attack to Charmander, knocking it down.

"Quick, Charmander! Flaming Claws!" Calvin ordered. Charmander's claws instantly caught fire and it flung itself towards Shiftry rearing up to attack but Shiftry dodged it with ease.

There was a big level gap between these Pokémon. Shiftry was in Level 20 while Charmander was still in Level 15.

Shiftry suddenly left itself wide open.

"Exploit the Opening! Ember!" Calvin ordered. Charmander spat out a Ball of fire to Shiftry.

"You are weak! Shiftry slice the attack and finish Charmander off with Supersonic Dark Blades!" The Admin ordered.

Calvin watched in disbelief as Charmander's Ember was sliced in equal halves by the Pokémon and then it advanced towards Charmander at a Speed Calvin could not comprehend. The Pokémon 's hand areas became dark blades.

It slashed Charmander back and it fainted.

At that moment, Another Pokémon burst through the ceiling. It was a Swellow.

"Swellow! Aerial Ace attack now!" A voice ordered and Swellow obeyed, It emitted a white light and then suddenly collided with Shiftry causing it to fall over and faint.

A hooded figure then descended from the hole in the sky.

"Get out of the Pokémon center, You worthless Criminal." The stranger said and the Admin grunted.

"You have no idea what you just did..." The Admin began but the Hooded man was already talking.

"Swellow! Send him away with Whirlwind!" The Stranger ordered and Swellow obeyed, flapping its wings and with the amount of wind generated, The Admin and his Shiftry were sent out of the Pokémon center. Before anyone could say anything, Swellow and it's trainer had left.

Everyone except Calvin was left in awe by what happened, Heck, Calvin wasn't even paying attention to what was happening. He was left in anger as he just experienced his first loss.

'Damn! Damn that stupid Team Constellation Admin! I wanted to build my reputation up like Leon did. I didn't want to ever lose a battle. I...I need to be strong. Stronger so I don't feel helpless again like today, I...have to go train.' Calvin thought and Sylvia put her hand on his shoulder.

"Losing seems bad but we all get over it." Sylvia said but Calvin shrugged her hand off.

He returned Charmander to its Pokéball and then stormed away. He was just like his father, Gary. They both hated losing.

"I guess after what happened, We can settle the rooming issue." The Nurse said, breathing a huge sigh of relief "Don't be angry with yourselves. You tried but that trainer was on a whole different level than you guys but you seem to be experienced enough for the Petalburg city Gym leader."

They decided to rest for tomorrow. They all gave their Pokémon to the nurse for healing and then went to sleep while the Nurse locked the doors.

"Calvin is still outside." Silver said but the Nurse just ignored her. The rooming was Silver and Sylvia on the bed while Mark on the sofa in the reception room.

Silver thought about Shiftry.

'That Pokémon was extremely strong. I wonder how Calvin is doing? He really hates losing but people must lose to realize their mistakes and improve more.' Silver thought and then drifted to sleep.

As soon as Charmander was revived, Charmander and Calvin began training in Route 2 again. Charmander didn't want to lose again and pushed itself even harder.

During their battle with a wild Zigzagoon, Charmander began to glow in a light blue color.

'It's evolving.' Calvin thought and Pulled out his Pokédex.

'Charmeleon. Charmeleon is the first evolution of Charmander. It was introduced in Gen I of the Pokémon games as the first Fire-type Starter Pokémon. While Charmeleon isn't as popular as Charmander or Charizard, it still ranks as one of the most beloved Pokémon of all time.

Charmeleon is a fire salamander that takes on some draconic aspects upon evolving. It's known for its fierce fighting spirit, and it's said that it dreams of flying when it sleeps. Charmeleon's National Pokédex number is 005.

Charmeleon is a bipedal lizard that stands 1.1 meters tall. It has red skin and a cream-colored belly. Its tail is tipped with a large flame, and its hands and feet are tipped with sharp white claws. It has a short snout and small fangs, and it has a single horn protruding from the back of its head. Charmeleon has white eyes with blue irises. Its arms are bigger and stronger than Charmander, and its legs and tail are rather bulky.

Charmeleon is vicious and vindictive. It loves to fight, but it can't stand losing. The more angry or excited Charmeleon gets, the brighter its flames burn; when it's extremely agitated, its flames will burn bluish-white. When it isn't battling, it's typically very relaxed and lazy. While rarely found in the wild, it prefers arid mountains.

Move set:

Slash- Normal Type attack.

Flamethrower- Fire type attack.

Flaming claws- Fire type attack.

Quick Attack- Normal type attack.

Full power Fireball- Fire type finishing attack.'

"Charmeleon! Finish this battle! Quick Attack!" Calvin ordered and Charmeleon began glowing in white. It dashed and punched Zigzagoon away at high speed.

Calvin let out a sigh.

"Charmander! You've finally evolved. You are really one of my elites." Calvin said and Charmeleon smiled. He returned Charmeleon to its Pokéball.

Calvin went back to the Pokémon center and slept behind the Pokémon center in a bunch of hay.
