Pokémon in a New World

Daniel awakes in a new world with the ability to summon Pokémon. In a fantasy world where men live and die by the sword, Daniel and his Pokémon bring a new way of life. As you may have guessed, not everyone welcomes this new way of life preferring to hold on to the past, comfortable with how things are. Can Daniel manage to weave through the politics of nobles, tame the wilds run by bandits, and fight the flames of war so that humans and Pokémon may live in harmony? --- Authors Note: Please don't copy my story onto other sources without my permission.

The Pokémons Debut

As the goblin horde surged forward, Daniel took a deep breath and steadied himself. The goblins numbered nearly a thousand, their ragged armor and crude weapons reflecting the glint of the setting sun. It was an intimidating sight, but Daniel felt a surge of confidence as he glanced at the Pokémon standing by his side, each of them ready to fight.

"Remember," he called out to the Pokémon, "we need to work together. Focus on disrupting their formation, and don't let them get close to the city walls." The Pokémon responded with determined cries, and Daniel could feel the anticipation in the air, the energy of the upcoming battle almost palpable.

The goblins continued to advance, their war cries filling the air as they broke into a charge. Daniel acted quickly, issuing commands in a clear, commanding voice.

"Cincinno use helping hand and be ready to support. Orbeetle, use Psychic! Split their front line and scatter them!"

Orbeetle's eyes flared with brilliant violet light, and waves of psychic energy surged outward, creating a shimmering wall of force that crashed into the first wave of goblins. The goblins at the front were lifted off the ground, their limbs flailing helplessly as they were thrown backward into their own ranks. The disruption caused chaos, with the goblins struggling to reorganize themselves.

"Zebstrika, strike with Thunderbolt! Target the densest clusters!" Daniel shouted.

Zebstrika's black-and-white mane crackled with electricity, and with a loud whinny, it unleashed a powerful Thunderbolt that streaked across the battlefield. The bolt struck a group of goblins, the electricity arcing between them, causing their bodies to seize up and collapse to the ground. The electrified goblins fell like rag dolls, and the surrounding ones stumbled back, panicked by the sight.

As more goblins charged in from the flanks, Daniel swiftly adjusted his strategy. "Haxorus, go for the strongest among them! Use Dragon Claw!"

The Dragon-type let out a ferocious roar as it leaped into the fray, its claws glowing with a fierce blue light. It slashed through the goblins' crude armor with ease, each swing of its massive claws sending goblins flying. The power of Haxorus' attacks left deep gouges in the earth, creating a barrier that slowed the enemy's progress.

"Skarmory, take to the skies! Use Steel Wing to cut down their archers!" Daniel continued, his voice unwavering.

Skarmory spread its metallic wings and soared above the battlefield. As arrows from goblin archers flew upward, the steel bird dove and twisted in the air, effortlessly avoiding the projectiles. Then, with a sharp cry, it descended upon the archers, its wings gleaming like swords. Each strike sent goblin archers tumbling to the ground, their bows shattered.

Meanwhile, the goblins began to regroup and press forward in greater numbers, attempting to overwhelm the Pokémon with sheer mass. Daniel saw the surge and acted quickly. "Blastoise, launch a Hydro Pump! Darmanitan, follow up with Fire Punch!"

Blastoise reared back, its massive cannons extending as it unleashed twin torrents of water. The powerful jets blasted through the ranks of goblins, knocking many off their feet and scattering the others. Before the goblins could recover, Darmanitan sprang forward, its fists alight with searing flames. It swung its blazing arms in wide arcs, knocking goblins aside like leaves in the wind, the heat forcing even more to retreat.

To the right of the battlefield, Daniel noticed a group of goblins trying to flank the Pokémon. "Cryogonal, set up an Ice Wall to block them!" he commanded.

Cryogonal spun rapidly in place, forming a barrier of thick ice that erupted from the ground, cutting off the advancing goblins. Their crude weapons bounced harmlessly off the wall, and some tried to climb over it, but their movements were sluggish in the freezing cold.

"Reuniclus, now! Use Psychic to push the ice wall toward them!" Daniel ordered.

The Psychic-type's gelatinous arms glowed with a deep blue light, and the ice wall shuddered before surging forward like a tidal wave. The advancing goblins were crushed under the weight of the ice or forced to scatter, further disrupting their attack.

In the midst of the chaos, a particularly large and brutish goblin wielding a massive club emerged, rallying the surrounding goblins and trying to lead a countercharge. Daniel saw the need to deal with this leader quickly. "Sirfetch'd, take him down with a Meteor Assault!"

Sirfetch'd gripped its leek sword tightly, its eyes narrowing with resolve. The Fighting-type dashed forward, moving with speed and precision that seemed impossible for a creature its size. It leapt into the air, and as it descended, its leek glowed with a brilliant light, resembling a falling meteor. The strike connected with the goblin leader's club, shattering it into splinters and driving the brute to the ground with a resounding crash.

Daniel's strategy was working, but the horde was vast, and the goblins kept coming, driven by some frenzied desperation. He needed to break their morale completely. "Tsareena, use Trop Kick to clear a path! Then, Drapion, follow up with Cross Poison on the most clustered groups!"

Tsareena's powerful legs glowed with a verdant energy as she launched a series of high kicks that sent goblins tumbling in all directions, the force of each blow enough to break bones. Drapion followed closely behind, its pincers coated in a toxic, glowing substance. It swung its tail in wide arcs, delivering venomous strikes that left the goblins writhing in pain as the poison coursed through them.

As the goblins continued to fall, a panic began to spread among their ranks. Daniel could see it—their movements were growing disorganized, their attacks less coordinated. He knew the time was right for a final push.

"Blastoise, one more Hydro Pump! Butterfree, use Sleep Powder! Orbeetle, Psychic again!" he commanded in quick succession.

Blastoise unleashed another powerful blast of water, sending goblins scattering and washing away the remnants of their formation. Butterfree flew over the battlefield, its wings releasing a shimmering powder that drifted down over the remaining goblins, causing those it touched to collapse into an unconscious heap. Orbeetle's Psychic energy flared, lifting entire groups of goblins off the ground and flinging them away like leaves caught in a storm.

As the battlefield fell silent, the once-fierce horde lay defeated, scattered across the plains outside Luthadel's walls. Only a few goblins managed to scramble away fearing for their lives, retreating in terror from the combined might of Daniel and his Pokémon.

The archers atop the walls lowered their bows, and a wave of relief swept over the guards and soldiers who had been preparing for a desperate battle. Daniel took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling as he surveyed the scene. His Pokémon stood tall, many of them breathing heavily but still ready to fight if necessary.

Daniel turned back toward the city gates as they creaked open. The King, General Alaric, the Court Magician, and a handful of nobles had emerged to witness the outcome of the battle. Their faces ranged from astonishment to sheer disbelief. The King stepped forward, his eyes locked on Daniel.

"You... did it," King Aldric said, his voice a mix of awe and relief. "You truly managed to defeat an entire horde with these... Pokémon."

Daniel inclined his head respectfully. "As I said, Your Majesty, Pokémon have the potential to do great things. This is just the beginning."

The King was silent for a moment before turning to the General. "Prepare a report on this battle, and ensure the people know what happened here today. I believe we have witnessed something extraordinary." He then turned back to Daniel. "Come, there is more we need to discuss about the future of these Pokémon and their role in my kingdom."

As Daniel followed the King back into the castle, his Pokémon trailing behind, he felt a sense of hope. This victory had not only saved the city, but it had also shown the power of Pokémon to an entire kingdom. It was a step forward in achieving his vision, and he was determined to ensure that this was just the beginning.
