21: “but Leo did it with just one Attack and one Pokémon”

Coming out of a small mall, Leo carried a square-like packaging in his hands.

This was something he had just bought, it was actually some headphones, with a pokeball-like design on it, it was the newest and best wireless headphones currently in the market.

"It wouldn't be a bad idea to enjoy some music while on my journeys" Leo thought before going back to his inn.

The previous day he had also bought some new running shoes and anything else he would need, thx to daisy, it wasn't hard to get the items he wanted.

He had payed a few extra to stay in the inn for the morning, as he would definitely leave soon.

In these past couple days Leo had also contacted Professor oak a few times, getting some knowledge which would be useful in the future.

Professor oak had even gone out of his way to tell Leo about some items which he might need as well.

Although Leo knew about all of these, he still felt grateful to Professor oak.

The old man seemingly had a lot of expectations for him.

"I could buy a bicycle or a motorcycle, but it'll be a burden once I can fly on my Pokémon, Leo thought and abandoned the thought.

It had only come up after he walks past a vehicle shop.

Leo opened his phone and was greeted with these message.

After looking through who the followers were, he recognized a few of them.

Some of them he had seen at Professor oaks lab getting their first Pokémon.

Leo followed all of them back before being hit with another notification.

"What, Leo already defeated the water type gym" one boy said, his profile picture showing him and his Pokémon.

There was even a reply under that comment.

"Hey, so did i" from Gary, he was actually pretty frustrated.

The young trainer had replied back to Gary.

"Yea but it's all over cerulean city, Leo had only beaten them with one Pokémon"

Leo was amused by what had gone on, he didn't expect the news of his easy win in the Pokémon gym to actually spread.

Either the battle had been recorded or someone was watching the battle and writing documents.

No wonder he had gained a few followers after that post.

"The media in this world is fast as always, just like my last world" Leo thought before putting on his headphones.

After choosing a random playlist, he immediately left cerulean city.

...

"The next stop is..., damn I'll have to go through the eastern exit of Mt. Moon"

Leo sighed helplessly.

"I can't challenge the saffron city gym yet, but I'll have to go through there in order to reach vermillion city" Leo gazed at the map before drawing out a pathway.

Leo hummed a tune as he walked out of cerulean city, on the path to vermillion city, he would have to go through many places.

And saffron city was just the first stop.

"There is a Pokémon daycare in saffron city, but- I doubt I'll be going there" Leo thought.

...

Leo continued traveling through the path towards saffron city, he would occasionally bring out his Pokémon and letting them bully these weak Pokémon's roaming the fields.
