Evolution, Crawdaunt!

"Ash, look! Your fishing rod is moving!" May shouted. Everyone turned and saw that there was indeed a strong tug on Ash's line.

"Ash, keep going! Don't let it get away…" Misty started to say, but Ash simply gripped the rod with one hand and pulled with all his might, hauling the creature out of the water.

"Crawdaunt!" emerged a large Crawdaunt with its intimidating claws raised.

"A Crawdaunt! No wonder there aren't many other Water Pokémon in this lake. They were probably all driven away by this Crawdaunt!" Brock observed, realizing why the lake was so empty. Wild Crawdaunt have a habit of bullying other Water Pokémon.

"Alright, Corphish, this is your evolved form. Show it what you've got!" Ash encouraged.

"Corphish! Corphish!" Corphish leaped in front of Crawdaunt, only for Crawdaunt to look down on it, dismissing it with a disdainful shake of its head. Enraged, Corphish began to clack its claws furiously.

"Crawdaunt!" The wild Crawdaunt launched the first attack.

"Be careful! That's Crawdaunt's Crabhammer—a powerful move!" Brock warned.

"Corphish, use Bubble Beam on the ground in front of Crawdaunt!" Ash called.

Corphish sprayed bubbles at the ground, creating a slippery layer that made Crawdaunt lose its footing, enraging it further.

"Now, Corphish, use Harden and then surround Crawdaunt with Bubble Beam again!" Ash strategized. Even though Crawdaunt was higher level, Ash was confident in Corphish's chances.

Crawdaunt found itself surrounded by slippery bubbles, and realizing it couldn't escape, decided to jump up to avoid the bubbles. Ash's eyes lit up.

"Now, Corphish, Water Gun!" Crawdaunt was mid-air and couldn't dodge. It took the full force of Corphish's Water Gun attack and was knocked backward.

Enraged, Crawdaunt retaliated with another Crabhammer, but Ash wasn't worried. "Corphish, use Crabhammer too!" Corphish, with its defenses boosted by Harden, matched Crawdaunt's strength, and their attacks clashed equally.

"Now, Corphish, use Razor Shell!" Corphish's claws glowed with energy, and it engaged Crawdaunt in close combat. With the slippery bubbles still affecting Crawdaunt's footing, it was unable to hold its ground.

"Finish it with Swift!" Crawdaunt was overwhelmed and defeated, unable to fight any longer.

"Corphish!" Corphish celebrated its victory, glowing with a bright light as it began to evolve.

"Wow! Corphish is evolving because it defeated its evolved form, Crawdaunt!" Misty, May, and Brock watched in amazement.

"Congratulations! Corphish successfully defeated Crawdaunt and gained 8,500 experience points. Would you like to use a triple experience boost card?"

Ash didn't answer right away as Corphish was now evolving into Crawdaunt!

Ash used his Eye of Insight(Aura Vision) to view the Crawdaunt information.

Ability: Adaptability

Level: 36

Moves: Bubble, Harden, Leer, Bubble Beam, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Protect, Knock Off, Razor Shell, Swords Dance, Crunch, Crabhammer…

Ash realized, just like with Grovyle, his Crawdaunt had delayed its evolution until it was the right moment.

"Did you guys really defeat the Crawdaunt in this lake?" A voice said from behind them.

Turning around, they saw a young woman, who introduced herself as Tiffany. She was the caretaker of the Dragonair Lake and had been struggling with this wild Crawdaunt, which had been terrorizing other Water Pokémon in the lake and depleting the Water Pokémon population.

Brock, in his usual fashion, rushed forward. "My beautiful lady! My name is Brock. May I know your lovely name?"

"Uh, I'm Tiffany…"

"Tiffany! A name as beautiful as the morning mist!" Brock gushed, only for Misty to pull him away.

With Crawdaunt defeated, the lake could finally return to its peaceful state.
