Rotted

Here I lie,

Feelings all trapped inside.

Cannot escape this,

Just watch and wait.

Screaming from the inside,

Hoping to reach someone.

Anyone.

Hear me,

Feelings I desperately,

need to release.

Rip them out and try to flee.

But everywhere I go,

They follow me.

I'm running now,

Running through my mind,

Too many paths to choose,

Everywhere I turn,

A downward spiral rears,

This has to be my deepest fear.

So I escape, close them out.

Throw on a smile and drown them out.

Try to hold on another day,

Until I rot my life away.
