Qiao Chen had the system keep his conscious clear in case of any emergencies as he waited for Du Jingnan. He knew that Du Jingnan had finally come when he heard the commotion at the door. He knew that everything would be fine now. In order to make everything more realistic, Qiao Chen turned off the system's functions. 'On the plus side, Du Jingnan would be even more distressed.' Qiao Chen optimistically thought.

Therefore, Qiao Chen was truly drunk. He hummed while in Du Jingnan's arms. Shu Qichen's appearance was too attractive. Du Jingnan couldn't wait to get in the car. He would definitely take care of Qiao Chen, but he didn't like an audience. They had reached the underground parking lot by now, but there were still a lot of people who were parking or picking up their cars.

"Sit down, baby. I'll take you home." Du Jingnan hugged Qiao Chen and then passionately kissed him on his luscious lips before sitting Qiao Chen down in the front passenger seat. Then he walked over to the driver side and sat down.

Unfortunately, drunken Qiao Chen wasn't sitting down very nicely. He kept burrowing into Du Jingnan's arms. He wasn't even staying put nicely in Du Jingnan's arms either. He wriggled and rolled around until Du Jingnan's body started to react and get hot all over.

"You! Who are you? Where are you taking me?" Qiao Chen squinted and interrogated. His speech was slurred.

"I'm your dad. Quickly sit down. Daddy will take you home okay?" Du Jingnan coaxed Qiao Chen.

"My dad?"Qiao Chen tilted his head. It looked like he was thinking about something. Then he said sadly, "I don't have a father."

Du Jingnan thought that Qiao Chen was thinking about his deceased father. He was afraid he made Qiao Chen said, so he coaxed, "I'm your husband."

"Husband?" Qiao Chen held Du Jingnan's face squinted again. He scrutinized for a long time until he was able to roughly make out Du Jingnan's facial features and outline, "Are you Wei Zhennan?"

It was because of the similarities both worlds had that Qiao Chen thought Du Jingnan and Wei Zhennan were virtually the same. He told Qiao Chen that he was his husband, so Qiao Chen thought of Wei Zhennan.

Du Jingnan heard another man's name come out of Qiao Chen's mouth and immediately frowned. Then he asked, "Who is Wei Zhennan?"

"He's my husband." Drunk Qiao Chen happily replied. He didn't feel the dangerous aura leaking out of Du Jingnan.

Du Jingnan stayed calm and collected. He patiently coaxed Qiao Chen to clear the issue of who Wei Zhennan was. However, Qiao Chen only replied in vague and confused drunken ramblings before passing out. Du Jingnan couldn't understand a thing Qiao Chen said.

Qiao Chen was drunk and wouldn't wake up for a while. Du Jingnan's belly boiled. He didn't have anywhere to vent his frustrations, and he couldn't do anything about Qiao Chen right now either. He happened to see Li Huang being helped out of the elevator he was parked in front of. Du Jingnan opened the car door and walked over. He dragged Li Huang over to a corner and hit him again.

Li Huang had specifically chosen to delay his departure for a while, so he could avoid encountering Du Jingnan again. He never would have known that he would have encountered Du Jingnan again, or that he'd be beaten up for the second time this night. The only difference this time was that he completely peed himself. Du Jingnan released all his anger and frustrations on Li Huang and then left. Li Huang's bodyguard called an ambulance to take Li Huang straight to the hospital.

Li Huang lied in the ambulance, half unconscious. He felt that he was truly wronged this time. He really hadn't even had the chance to touch a single finger from Shu Qichen's hands. However, he didn't have the place to avenge this injustice. His parents had died early. He knew that he would just be beat up again if he looked for his uncle to try and correct the situation.

Li Huang deeply regretted it. If he had known that Shu Qichen would be his aunt in law*, then he would have stayed far away from him. Li Huang decided to go abroad for a while and wait for the heat to die down and his youngest uncle's temper to subside, before returning.

Qiao Chen woke up to a painful headache. He thought that even though this lifetime's body wasn't a good drinker, the aftermath of the drinking should have been this bad, should it? If he had known this, then he wouldn't have turned off the system. Qiao Chen booted up the system and had it dispel the headache.

When the pain finally eased, Qiao Chen opened his eyes to see Du Jingnan standing grumpily at the bedside. Qiao Chen was surprised to see him like this and asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Who is Wei Zhennan?" Du Jingnan asked with narrowed eyes.

"Huh? Who are you talking about?" Qiao Chen didn't know how Du Jingnan suddenly knew Wei Zhennan's name. However, after think about it, Qiao Chen was sure that he probably said something in his drunken stupor. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember how much he had said. Qiao Chen's eyes shifted and he didn't dare to look at Du Jingnan square in the eyes.

Du Jingnan sat on the bed. He held Qiao Chen's chin and forced him to look at him. "Tell me clearly. Who is that man? Where is he? What does he do? And why did you say he was your husband?"

Qiao Chen's heart crumbled. How can I explain it to you clearly? Can I tell you that Wei Zhennan is you in another life? Would you even believe it? You're just being jealous of you, yourself…

Qiao Chen thought that he shouldn't feel guilt for this. The more guilt he felt, the shakier his words would be. He had to stand tall and firm. Qiao Chen patted Du Jingnan's hand vigorously and said, "I don't know a Wei Zhennan at all. How could I have said this name? Don't slander me."

"I clearly heard you say it. You even said that Wei Zhennan was your husband." Du Jingnan inched closer to Qiao Chen and said.

"Why would I say Wei Zhennan is my husband? I probably said Du Jingnan. You must have heard me incorrectly." Qiao Chen said assuredly.

"I can find it out even if you don't say anything. I only hope that you explain it to me properly, because if you wait until I find something then…"

"Then go ahead and check it out. It'll further prove my innocence. I have a clear conscience." Qiao Chen said frankly.

Du Jingnan obviously investigated. He would never allow a love rival that might threaten his and Qiao Chen's relationship. He used various means and his huge network to investigate this Wei Zhennan. At the end of this investigation, Du Jingnan couldn't find the shadow of this supposed Wei Zhennan.

Du Jingnan also used all sorts of ways to convince Qiao Chen to tell him everything in bed. Qiao Chen cried from the mind numbing pleasure several times, but Du Jingnan couldn't get anything out of Qiao Chen's mouth except for his insistence that there was no Wei Zhennan.

Du Jingnan exhausted all his methods. He searched through every single person who contacted Qiao Chen before. He wasn't able to find Wei Zhennan. A long time had passed before he was able to gradually dispel his doubts and unease.

Qiao Chen thought it was terrible for his man to be so jealous over himself, but was still smug. He proudly exclaimed 'I told you so' and 'There wasn't a person that he knew of named Wei Zhennan in this world.' Qiao Chen put the final nail in the coffin when he told Du Jingnan that he wronged him and that he had definitely said Du Jingnan's name, but was just too drunk to say it right.

Later on, Qiao Chen asked Du Jingnan about what he would do if he really had found a Wei Zhennan. Du Jingnan only replied coldly with one word: death. He didn't care who came first or what relationship that man supposedly had with Qiao Chen before. He wouldn't let the other party live for long as long they tried to take away the love of his life.

Qiao Chen was surprised by Du Jingnan's eyes at that time. He never even had the idea to commit adultery. But if he did, the other party would probably just be killed. Qiao Chen himself would probably be wishing for death.

Du Jingnan couldn't find any information about any adulterer. He instead found a lot of evidence and information pertaining to Xu Jieming and Liu Yi. This information was about what they had done to Qiao Chen. Du Jingnan wanted deal with the two, but Qiao Chen stopped him.

Even though it was Li Huang that forced him to jump to his death from the hotel window, it was Xu Jieming and Liu Yi who were the two main culprits to his downfall. Qiao Chen wanted to deal these two personally and savor the taste of revenge as he did it.

Qiao Chen originally also wanted to deal with Li Huang by himself as well. However, he let Du Jingnan take over since Li Huang was his nephew. This was very unfortunate for Li Huang. Du Jingnan's methods were far more ruthless than Qiao Chen's. Du Jingnan treated Li Huang especially bad because he tried to take advantage of Qiao Chen. He would never be soft in dealing with matters like this- even if it was his own nephew.

On the day Li Huang was prepared to go abroad, he was stopped and thrown onto an unknown island. This was all arranged by Du Jingnan on his plane. Li Huang was the sole human that was on that island. The rest of the inhabitants were wild animals. Li Huang was forced to live a primitive life. Without even mentioning the harsh weather, food safety, or even the cold and wet night Li Huang had to endure, he was in constant fear. He had to avoid all sorts of animals like pythons and the like. They scared him to tears several times a day.

Du Jingnan had people monitor Li Huang from afar. They were told that Li Huang wasn't allowed to die. Anytime Li Huang suffered a serious injure, they were to save him, cure him, and then release him back onto the island. The entire process of Li Huang's life on the island was broadcasted into Du Jingnan's home television.

Qiao Chen would watch the live feed of Li Huang's 'Survival Island' sometimes when he was bored. He thought to himself that if this show was on TV, then the ratings would be really high. There were a lot of thrilling and suspenseful moments throughout the feed. There was also a good comedic element because of the way Li Huang cried.

Xu Jieming lost Li Huang's investments once more. He had to look for new investors. Unfortunately, movie investments carried a relatively big risk versus the possible gains. Furthermore, Xu Jieming had been preparing for this fantasy film for a long time. He couldn't start filming without three to four million dollars as the initial investment. Nobody's money would come by so easily like that. There wasn't anyone who had millions of dollars doing nothing but collecting dust like Li Huang did. They wouldn't be able to take such a risk like him. No one would even be able to collect the capital if the movie flopped.

Xu Jieming regretted his actions. If he had known that Shu Qichen was going to hook up with Du Jingnan, then he wouldn't have had that falling out with him so early. Xu Jieming believed that he would have been able to use Shu Qichen's investment into Xingyu. He could have even used Xingyu's reputation to create momentum for his films too.

As Xu Jieming continued to look for investors, he never would have expected that Qiao Chen would take the initiative to find him and talk to him about investing in his movie.

"Are you really going to invest in this movie?" Xu Jieming looked at Qiao Chen suspiciously and asked.

"Why else would I be sitting here and talking to you? Do you think I am teasing you? I'm not so bored that I have that much free time." Qiao Chen replied.

"Is Xingyu going to invest?" Xu Jieming asked. He didn't believe that Qiao Chen would be able to provide such a large sum of money.

"I'll be personally investing in it. It's just some pocket money Du Jingnan gave me. You don't have to worry that I won't have enough money. All you have to do is agree to my request. Once the contract is signed, the money will be transferred immediately."

"What's your request?"

"I want to be the movie's producer and play the role of Zhu Hua." This basically meant that even though Qiao Chen was investing money into the movie, he would still be the one who controlled the finances and how it was spent.

Wei Dian had already been preparing for this movie before Shu Qichen's father died. Xu Jieming and Liu Yi had been long given the two main roles. When Xu Jieming had been currying favor with him, he had shown him the script. Shu Qichen really wanted to play the role of Zhu Hua after reading the script. However, he knew that he couldn't play the role very well at that time. In their previous lives, Xu Jieming relied on this movie to propel him into fame and fortune.

The most important thing about fantasy films was the special effects. Poorly executed special effects would ruin the entire movie no matter how good the story was. Great special effects would be able to support the entire foundation of the movie. They were also, unfortunately, the most expensive part of movie making. That was why Xu Jieming couldn't get enough investment money to being shooting.

The conditions Qiao Chen offered were very attractive even with Qiao Chen's requests. Besides having to pay back the initial capital, they would have to split the profits 50-50. Li Huang's contract wasn't even as good as Qiao Chen's. Li Huang wanted to split 70% for himself and 30% for Weidian. Xu Jieming estimated that if the movie was successful, then they would get at least a billion at the box office. He would be able to get most the money as the largest shareholder and as the leading actor in the company.

Xu Jieming didn't want to drag his feet any longer. He soon had Weidian's president contact Qiao Chen, reach an agreement, and sign the contract.

Once all the preliminary work was completed, the movie "Nine Heavens" officially began shooting.
