Chapter 28

It has been a week since Jade told Alissa her problems. But, Alissa still was disturbed, she was continuously thinking on what to do and how to get out of this mess. She didn't wanted to let that boy get away like that. She wanted him to get the hardest punishment. Alissa was also thinking all the good and the bad things that have happened since she joined this company.

Good things:

1) Her bank account now have sufficient money.

2) Her boss is caring towards her now.

3) She have a friend whom she can actually call a friend and that is Eleanor.

4) She have learned to party a bit.

5) Last but not the least, someone has actually made and effort to make her happy and that is Eric.

Bad things

1) She has gone through threats of her boss.

2) She have to bare those rude comments from her seniors (mostly rude ladies)

3) She have to make coffee every now and then.

4) Her sister has gone through all of this.

5) Alissa have to complete so many files in one day.

6) She have to wake up early (which she was not used to)

So, only these are the things which really are happening in Alissa's life. But, they are major problems. Alissa want someone to share things with. She wants someone who can sort her out of this mess. She is thinking to talk to Eleanor about it because she is a girl herself and is also a very helpful person in these kind of situations as far as Alissa is concerned. This is the time she is really wishing that Eric would have been a girl. So, she could have talk to him about this.

She picked up the two files, which were lying on the table and dust them a bit and took them to Eric's cabin. She knocked on the door twice, but no one answered. She knocked once more but still no reply.

"Boo" Alissa squealed and turned to see who it was. No doubt, Eric.

From when did he started doing all this, she thought to herself. She giggled and he smiled at her. He opened the door and both of them got inside the cabin. Alissa kept the files on his desk and he looked at her.

"So" he said.

"So?" Alissa asked.

"You talked to your sister?" He asked.

Alissa thought of what to say. She thought if it is right to tell him about this? Will he help her? Or he will just feel disgusted by it? Lots of questions were running through her head until she realised that she was staring at Eric with a dumbfounded look. He waved his hand in front of her eyes.

"Back to earth" he said with laugh.

"Uh...yeah....I did....and....yes...umm" She stumbled with her words.

"You are a pathetic liar" He said with a chuckle.

Soon tears build up in Alissa's eyes. She didn't realise that how badly she wanted to cry until now. She realised how sad and broken she was from inside. Eric looked worried at that instant moment. He hold her hand and made her sit on the chair.

"Hey hey hey, it's alright" He said, trying to makes her feel better.

He gave her a glass of water and she gulped it down. She felt a little better. She never cried in front of someone. Because no one was there to listen to her.

"What happened?" He asked.

She looked at him and was still wondering whether to tell him or not.

"You can trust me" He said and Alissa never felt the sudden urge of just hugging someone. Alissa wanted to hug him so tight. She never believed someone before so thoroughly.

"Actually...." And then she told him everything.

He, the whole time listened to her and kept squeezing her hand as a gesture that it was okay. He kept an eye contact with to let her know that he was paying full attention towards her. Finally, when she completed he looked at her and gave her a polite look.

"I am with you" he said.

"Huh?....." Alissa asked not believing what he said.

"Yes. I am with you" He said again.

"Alissa. You don't know but you are a strong girl. Nothing can ever break you. People must have seen you failing thousand of times but they surely must have never seen you quitting. I believe in you and that is why I am with you" he said with utmost sincerity.

Alissa felt so delighted after listening to those words. She felt like she was not alone. She truly have somebody.

"Thank you so much sir" she said.

"Eric. Just Eric" he said.

"Thank you Eric"

"Don't say thank you. Just think that this is my way of apologising" He said with a smirk on his face. And Alissa laughed.
