Chapter 28
Well, at least for tonight. Seth likes sex more than he likes earning brownie points with anyprofessor.

They get back to the hotel after midnight. The elevator is a mass of students crammed in together, talking and laughing, but when the doors open on their hall, everyone starts shushing each other. Some people pair up on the way to their rooms, but Mrs. Canada has her arms looped around both Mark’s and Seth’s elbows, so any chance Seth might’ve had to grab a quick nightcap with one of the rifle girls disappears as the group thins out. The professor leads the way to her door, seemingly reluctant for the evening to end—she holds onto Mark’s arm tight, and squeezes Seth’s hand in hers
“You two are good boys,” she says, finally releasing them to fish her keycard out of her purse. “Even if you can’t write twenty pages to save your lives.”
“I came pretty close,” Seth reminds her.
