Raising Your Enemy

"No, PLEASE…. Don't cry.", MuYang said annoyed.

*sniff*

"But, Sicong took away my sword.", Xiaodan cried.

MuYang sighed and looked at the status window above his head,

'Quest: The Soul Sword (1)

Current progress: 3%

Reward: 20 gold coins, 2 lottery tickets (guaranteed 3 star weapon, 5 star skill)

Punishment: 35 gold coins loss

Tread carefully, accounts with negative balance shall be abolished.'

This was not what he signed up for. Absolutely not.

"Sicong! Stop taking other's stuff without their permission!", MuYang nagged at the young Sicong.

A five year old kid with a runny nose parading around with two swords and jeering at Xiaodan making him cry even more.

The whole courtyard was busy, with people preparing for the marriage of the famous Lord Yang and Xiaodan's elder sister.

There was a lavish feast and beautiful decorations all over the mansion.

The children of the families invited were all thrown into the court to play and not disturb the ceremony inside and pull off ththe decorations.

Among these kids, the young girls were pulled away by the nanny for a sewing lesson, the older teens were busy trying to talk with young ladies while they walked around the garden and the youngest ones were raising hell.

Sicong was annoying every kid, Xiaodan was crying, MuYang was standing with a blank expression beside Xiaodan. Others were jumping around.

MuYang looked at the kid he was supposed to be guiding. Xiaodan, though was just 6 years old, had grown quite tall, slightly crossing MuYang who was supposed to be an 8 year old kid.

Xiaodan surpassed everyone in terms of strength, intelligence, power, skill and appearance but what he couldn't achieve was maturity and courage.

Despite all these skills, he still remained very much a brat.

Tantrums and long runs of crying were still a norm for him.

Being annoying was one of his master skill through which he acquired his own desires.

SYSTEM WARNING

BREACH OF MAIN STORY DETECTED

WARNING! WARNING!

Continuous beeping filled the ears of MuYang, only he could hear this annoying system's warnings.

He had to act fast. Warnings like these meant, the main character, Xiaodan was breaking his character or the story is flowing in other direction.

Both of these meant death to MuYang.

He couldn't die yet, not like this. His way to revenge shouldn't be obstructed like this! Not at all by a brat crying.

He almost took out his sword and obliterated the entire mansion out of anger.

"Contain your anger, This System cannot control your powers if they are unleashed! Stop MuMu!", the system, a small duckling, appeared out of thin air and warned its owner.

"Uhhh… *sigh* I thought you died or something, where do you keep disappearing?", MuYang asked the system.

"Since, MuMu hasn't yet started the main story, I have to be in tutorial mode. I can't appear all the time as you must learn the way this works! Rest assured MuMu I will be able to guide you during these situations", the system said and flapped its tiny wings around.

"Okay, let me use the Identity Mask skill then!", MuYang asked.

"I said, guide sir….. I can only provide my advice MuMu!", the system flapped around frantically.

"That's practically useless, if you weren't a cute bird I would have sworn at you.", MuYang said.

He walked towards Xiaodan and said,

"Stop crying or I will give you something to cry about!", he scolded him in a whisper like tone into Xiaodan's ear.

"Hicc- ." , he held his breath and tried not to cry.

"Look, use your brain which your parents have given and look, he is smaller, younger and childish than you. He took your sword, you take his. Stop whining like a brat.", MuYang said.

"Mumu, don't use such harsh words towards the hero! You are supposed to help him be a strong character! Not bully him!" The system chirped.

"So? What's it gonna be?", MuYang glared at Xiaodan, completely ignoring the system.

"I… I… I'll make him regret it.", Xiaodan said and marched angrily towards Sicong.

"Masterrrrrrrr! Don't influence the golden boy towards evil! That will ruin the mission!", System nagged on.

"That's how my parents raised me,I simply borrowed the technique. If your character can't even bear this much of a push how does he conquer the world? Bullshit.", MuYang continued.

Xiaodan went over to Sicong, took his sword.

He challenged Sicong to a fight, after a cute sword fight, Xiaodan won.

He ran back towards MuYang beaming with happiness.

"I won! I won! Aren't I good?", he said jumping around like a puppy.

"Hmph, it could be better.", MuYang smiled at the young kid.

"Thanks my best friend.", Xiaodan hugged him.

STORY NOT DEVIATED

STATUS: PROLOGUE PT 2

FRQ: STABLE

Finally the beeping sound had stopped. The status window got updated.

'Quest: The Soul Sword

Current progress: 35%

Reward: 20 gold coins, 2 lottery tickets (guaranteed 3 star weapon, 5 star skill)

Punishment: 35 gold coins loss

Tread carefully, accounts with negative balance shall be abolished.'

MuYang was relieved, it wasn't a futile move.

The last quest, the progress was at 0.5% per act.

He walked away and sat in the porch munching at the sugar candy.

He was still getting used to all of this 'system' business. Surprisingly he adapted quite well to this new life, new body.

His power remained an all time high causing strain to the young kid's body.

After all, the cultivation of a immortal being couldn't be stable inside an 8 year old human.

MuYang, was a cultivation master, at the level of Demon Saint, a step away from being immortal. He was a famous master of the Aura Sword 64 fold, the only one to be able to perform demonic and light cultivation.

A flick of his wrist could destroy mountains. With such power, came greed. MuYang had gone on a spree of killing, conquering nations, hoarding great wealth and treasures in his sky palace.

But now, he was raising a kid towards greatness.

He was practically a babysitter and what made it even worse, was that he was supposed to be raising, Xiaodan, the hero of the story and his foe towards supreme power.

He chewed off the candy and thought to himself, he could easily kill this young boy of 6 years and end the story here itself if not for the stupid soul deal he had done with his system.

He looked on as the kids were playing, himself oblivious to the the next plotline.

The Wedding Massacre.
