Synopsis

Just three centuries ago, this world was like any other, magic and spirits considered fantasy, as steel and blood decided the era. Yet ever since that day, the trans-formative 'Flux' has flooded the world, turning beasts to demons, the elements conscious, and the humans... —— Follow the boy with no name from the village of Rehall as he is taken to an institute of the King to become a fierce and loyal soldier, all the while pioneering a new path of ascension. **** Author note: PoA is currently on indefinite hiatus as I work on Brink of Dawn, another title on this site.

A Farmer's Journey To Immortality

"Battling young masters for some treasures in mysterious caves? No, thank you. What's so special about a ring containing an old sage's trapped soul? I'll just toss it away. Becoming a direct disciple of some big expert with many enemies? Count me out. I'll flip the bird to the pointless struggle in prestigious sects that only attract calamity. What I have here, this opportunity I've seized, is plenty for me. I'll choose safe and steady methods of progress, even if they're slow. After all, I'm just a simple farmer seeking peace through cultivation. I'll rely on myself to pave the way." - Aksai Everwood (Chapter 7) ============ Meet Aksai Everwood, a guy who thought he was done with life, but life had other plans. Aksai wasn't always Aksai. He used to be Arman Arlott, a terminally ill dude who decided to take one last wild ride before checking out. Little did he know, a crazy experiment would flip his world upside down. Arman's mind got tangled up with artificial intelligence, and things got seriously weird. Instead of peacefully bowing out, Arman ended up sacrificing himself for some mind-blowing breakthrough. But instead of eternal rest, he got a second chance as Aksai Everwood, a spirit farmer in a new world. Talk about a cosmic curveball! You'd think being a farmer in a serene, pastoral paradise would be easy, right? Nope. Aksai's new world is anything but peaceful. Farming is far from sunshine and rainbows here. Aksai dreams of a chill life cultivating his crops, but in the wild world of immortal cultivation, peace is a rare commodity. Luckily, Aksai's got some serious advantages. He's got a neural link fabric that makes him a whiz at alchemy and array formations, giving him a leg up on other Spirit cultivators. Plus, he has the Enchanted Everwood Farm, a magical place where he can grow all sorts of mysterious cultivation resources with awesome bonuses. This farm comes with perks that make Aksai a one-of-a-kind Spirit farmer. And here's the kicker: the farm is suspended in a spatial junction of all existing realities. That means Aksai can hop between different worlds as he levels up in his Spirit cultivation. With these unique advantages, Aksai ditches the traditional path of joining a sect or a renowned clan. Instead, he explores various worlds, using their unique resources and methods to forge his own path as a Spirit cultivator. What do myriad worlds unlock? A druid bloodline, body cultivation, martial arts, and lots more. Who’d join sects when given such perks? The stage is set for our Spirit farmer. Now Aksai, his companions, and you, his readers, are in for a journey of rebirth, redemption, and a whole lot of dirt under your fingernails. ============ Additional Tags: #druid #bloodlines #Martialarts #worldhopping #artificialintelligence #coldmc #battlenovel #calculatingmc #villain #farming #spiritcultivation #mindcultivation #bodycultivation #worldhopping #rpgelements #low-keymc #sliceoflife #nonarrogantmc

*Evaluation written at chapter 105* This is a real hidden gem ! I usually like my reviews to be long and detailed, so for those of you who want to read my wandering thoughts, just read this : if you are tired of omniscient killing machines MCs with a dumbass system, this western view on eastern cultivation fantasy is very worth trying ! don't Once in a while, just when you look through all the trashy generic novels being picked up on this site everyday and decide it is a waste of time to search for a new readable novel, you stumble on something that makes you think "well, maybe there is still hope around here after all..." This novel is one of those times. First of all, at least for me, NO FARKING SYSTEM ! The characters are talented, yes, but that's it. After that, they can only grow stronger with continuous hard work. No robotic voice in your head gifting you with a divine cultivation technique, a godly fist art or a heaven-grade flaming sword every two days. Just hard work. Basic, maybe too blunt for some, but precisely what I am looking for. The writing quality is the second big plus for me. I remember Chalky say it's his first novel, and God I wish I could write like that. The pacing is perfect, quite slow but I think it is the only way to truly bring life to the characters. They are very well written, each with their own distinct personality. The MC is not a mass psychopathic slaughterer, as so many others. In fact he could even be considered a good guy, just that he grew up getting used to obeying orders. Whatever they may be... but I have a feeling that may change in the future. He does not win every fight, and he doesn't always make the best decisions. Some comments say he is weak and stupid. I say he is human. And still a rather strong one. His main abilities and the techniques he acquires are are quite interesting, very unusual for the genre but quite well thought through. The story so far is interesting, and the world quite solid. However, as of now (chapter 105), the MC is just strong enough to start to have a real view on the continent and knows very little of what lies beyond. No arrogant young master needing a faceslap so far either as all characters, friends and foes, are rather well built and coherent. So is it perfect ? Obviously no, nothing is. But for now it is a damn good novel, and a refreshing version of eastern cultivation I, for one, very much needed. So thank you Chalky, and keep up the good work !
