Chapter 80 Calm Moment To Discover

After three days of staying in the hospital, Elle got home already in the afternoon. Her parents drove her home. They walked her up to her room to make her rest. "Sweetie, Nanny Ann will take care of you here while me and your Dad will go to the office." Mrs. Bess Smith said, smiling at her. Elle just simply nodded. She did not know who Nanny Ann was. Her mind was so blank. She could not remember anything. But she felt calm but not enough because she did not remember even a single thing. "Rest well. I already gave instructions to Nanny Ann. She knows what to do." Mrs Bess Smith said. She kissed her forehead. "Take a good rest, Elle." Mr. Jerry Smith smiled at her. Elle laid down quietly with closed eyes. Her parents would go to the office even it was late in the afternoon. They had important meeting to do. Elle was left in her room. As soon as her parents disappeared, she opened her eyes immediately. She took a look at her room. She observed everything in silence but with many questions in her head that she wanted the answers. It was holiday season so Phoenix University had no classes. Elle stood up and she walked towards her desk. She saw her laptop and opened it. She clicked the Facebook and saw her own self there. Many friends posted on her timeline, told her to get well soon and hope she would go back to her normal life. "Who are these people? They were on my timeline." Elle told herself and she closed her laptop. She went to the terrace door, it was after sunset, and her bedroom door opened. She looked at the woman with a short black hair. "Good evening, Miss Elle! Here's your dinner." Nanny Ann said as she put the tray on her bedside table. "After your dinner, take these two tablets." Nanny Ann added with a smile. Elle just stared at her. Then her gaze diverted on the open door when Andrew entered. "Hi Babe! This is Nanny Ann, the one who takes care of you since you're a baby." Andrew said. He kissed her on the forehead. Elle seated on the edge of her bed, facing the terrace. "Don't worry, Nanny Ann, I'll take care of her." Andrew reassured her. "Just call me right away if you need help, Sir." Nanny Ann said. " I will, Nanny." Andrew smiled at her. She left them inside. Andrew held Elle's hand and he made her sit on the bed properly. He put the tray on top of her so she could eat her favorite food properly. Mrs. Bess Smith prepared it for her before she left with her Dad for office. "Anything you want to eat after this, Babe." Andrew asked, smiling at her. He felt glad that even Elle was not talking much, she just obeyed their words, it was fine with him. He knew in his heart that Elle's memory would return soon. They would just be patient with her, to take care her better because he knew that she needed their love, understanding and care in order for her to recover fully. "This food is enough. I'm already full." Elle replied with no emotion. She took the medicines on her mouth and drank the warm water. "Okay I'll just put this tray downstairs. For now, just watch tv before you go to bed." Andrew said. She followed him. As soon as she turned on the tv on the remote control, she suddenly saw the Music Videos. It was MTV. She just stared at it. "That's your favorite tv channel, MTV." Andrew said as he entered the room. He seated beside Elle. But she felt uncomfortable. She was sitting beside a guy she could hardly remember. She observed his sweetness towards her, his thoughtfulness, he was in the hospital taking care of her, "And now he is here again in the evening." Elle thought. Her eyes on tv but her mind wondered. "Aren't you going home? It's already late. What should I call you?" Elle asked. "I'm Andrew. We call each other Babe before the accident happened. No, I'm staying here with you until you recover. Our Dads told me to stay here with you while we are on holiday vacation to look after you, to let you remember everything in gradual. If you have questions, just ask me because I will honestly answer them." Andrew said. He smiled at her. Elle just looked at him and said, "I'm going to sleep now." Andrew turned off the tv and he laid down beside her.
