Arthur let his flame essence lose the bulky nature it gave him, allowing the multitudes of clumped essence to resume a faster circulation through his system.
Due to the nature of the Earth Battle Arts, it had the longest cooldown.
Since a phoenix wasn't normally supposed to have so much essence moving through their bodies, they would have to wait for most of that essence to naturally retreat into their flame cores and restore balance.
The downside of this was that while that happened, the other Battle Arts remained impossible to use considering those battle arts had different flame essence requirements.
The only known way to get past this cool-down would be to get the essence knocked out of you by a stronger opponent… and currently Arthur seemed lacking in that division.
His current opponent was probably stuck in the side of the wall, nursing a cracked bone or two if he was lucky. Arthur still needed the dust to clear for him to see.
