As Arthur made his way out of the Great Hall, his eyes naturally fell to the ground, dark thoughts running through his mind as he walked on.
As a result of his isolated prince hood, his ability to shut out the rest of the world kicked in. His ears blocked out most of the students' voices and yet still directed him away from them.
Arthur wanted to be alone.
He wanted some space to think.
He was so focused on the ground that he didn't notice when he bumped shoulders with a crimson-haired boy, "Hey, watch where…"
"Sorry," Arthur instinctively cut him off with the standard 'can't you see I want to be alone right now' apology, mechanically continuing on his way without sparing the boy a second glance.
A wave of heat crashed into the prince's frame, alerting him of a creature to be feared and sending waves of fright rolling through his body.
