Arthur tried using the Guide Stone a few more times, with failure upon each try.
For each attempt at the simple yet seemingly difficult task, the wild overwhelming sensation of the Guide Stone's enchantments invaded his mind and body, permeating through his pores like thousands of tiny worms and essentially breaking his focus.
And as soon as he broke his concentration, the magic of the Stone was heavily overpowered by his mana core, draining into the vortex instantly.
It was now that he realised just how odd it felt to be affected by an enchantment he never activated on his own.
Because the Guide Stone was a small device, the mana from whatever crystal that powered it was not enough to cast a spell on him and satiate his mana core's incessant hunger for mana at the same time.
