Sabola's side of story

"Where did your find that locket, Lady Kissa?" Lapis asked as she escorted Kissa back to her rokm with Cairo behind them.

"I always had it with me. Is there any problem?" Kissa raised her brow and Lapis shook her head negatively.

"Nothing, nothing at all." Lapis bowed her head as they stepped into her room.

"When will the men be setting out for war?" Kissa asked and Lapis looked out through the far balcony.

"In a few days, the men who would attack on the inside would be going. Their market day is approaching." Lapis said and Kissa nodded before sitting on her bed.

"Can I get a well detailed map of the whole of Egypt?" Kissa asked and Lapis looked at her with a raised brow.

"Why do you need it my lady?" Lapis asked and Kissa looked at the painting of herself before looking back at Lapis.

"I need it. I wanted to know more about the borders of the lands. I was curious after seeing the map in the meeting room." Kissa replied before pulling off her sandals.

"I'll have to ask Pharaoh for it. He is the one to decide, not me." Lapis bowed her head before turning out of the room to leave.

After she left, Sabola walked in to the room with Ramla behind her.

"Greetings Lady Kissa." They both bowed and Kissa nodded before standing up and twirling.

"Welcome back."

Sabola looked at the locket around Kissa's neck and she also looked shocked like Lapis was when she saw it around her neck.

"Ramla, make a bath for Lady Kissa." Sabola said and she nooded before walking towards the bathroom.

"Lady Kissa, where did you find that necklace if I may ask?" Sabola asked and Kissa looked at her then her locket.

"It was given to me by my aunt." Kissa said. "Yes, do you know a way to get into that room in the temple again?"

"Why, my lady?" Sabola asked with worry.

"I need answers from that room Sabola. There are lots of thinking that the room left unanswered and I want them answered." Kissa replied and Sabola's lips formed 'o' shape.

"I don't know how you'll be able to get into the temple without alerting people in the temple. I used to stay in the temple." Sabola said.

"So you must know the past Sorceress." Kissa asked and Sabola didn't reply to that.

"And yes, do you know the room the last Sorceress used to be in?" Kissa asked and Sabola went silent for a few minutes.

"Her room is a hidden place. It is in this quarters." Sabola said and Kissa looked at her shocked.

"There are many parts in this quarters that you don't know. I was close with the past Sorceress and know different parts in this quarters but most of them has been blocked because no one wants to talk about her." Sabola explained.

"What's the use of this locket then?" Kissa asked. "I see it is a very important thing."

"Well…uhm…. My lady…."

"Your bath I ready Lady Kissa." Ramla walked into the room with her head bowed.

Kissa nodded before stepping down from her bead and walking into the bathroom.

"Stay back in the room and arrange the room. Remember, don't go up the stairs." Sabola said when Kissa had left the room.

"Alright." Ramla nodded, not suspecting Sabola wanted to talk to Kissa alone.

Sabola stepped into the bathroom where Kissa was already taking her bath.

"Tell me Sabola." Kissa said as Sabola sat at the edge of the pool with a tray of flowers with her. "Why did everyone forget the last Sorceress?"

"No one forgot her but no one spoke about her. The truth is, Pharaoh was in love with her while she was with the king and I once heard him saying he'll do anything to get her." Sabola said with her head slightly bowed.

"I suspect he killed the whole bloodline so he would get the throne and make her his queen but fate had other plans because she placed herself before Pharaoh's sword to protect the king."

"Out of rage, Pharaoh killed the past king and the bloodline ended because no one heard anything about the last Sorceress' daughter till date." Sabola explained as she poured flowers in the water gently.

"That's a side of the story I didn't hear." Kissa rubbed her chin before turning back to look outside through the large window.

Sabola watched Kissa as she looked up at the almost dark sky with her lips pursed.

She could tell Kissa was about to bring up a really absurd idea and she was correct.

"Open the blocked doors into her quarters and show me around Sabola." Kissa turned back to her and Sabola went pale for a few seconds.

"If we get caught, I'll be beheaded straightaway my lady. I won't lie to you, I was sent here so you won't find out about that." Sabola sighed.

"Then why did you tell me about it?" Kissa asked with raised brows.

"I changed my mind, my lady. You deserve to know things about the woman who left her powers for you to take over." Sabola replied with a slight smile on her face.

"I'm not sure about taking you around but I'll try. Maybe one day no one would enter your quarters." Sabola said and Kissa smiled gently.

"That's very easy." Kissa replied before swimming out of the pool.

"Tell Lapis that I would be trying to connect with my power tonight and tomorrow so I don't want anyone to disturb me." Kissa said as Sabola handed her the towel.

"Yes, Lady Kissa." Sabola bowed as she stood up to obey the orders.

"Then, tomorrow, you show me around the hidden walls." Kissa said and Sabola nodded before walking out of the room.

Kissa looked at the locket she hung on her chest through the mirror,.still curious on the reason why she couldn't open it.

"I'll find out about everything tomorrow. It can't be that worse not to find a thing or two about the necklace."
