Percy Jackson: The Hero I will be

In my past life, I sheltered myself from most problems and just tried my best to live my best one. So when I closed my eyes and woke up, I didn't expect to be a future hero. Warning! My writing experience is mediocre and criticism is welcome, so long as you explain the problem and why it's a problem.

Chapter Seven: Report

"Ha~ Ha~, your mean." I pouted, still tired from trying to dodge.

"Pfft, you should have seen you face when you realized that water couldn't hurt you." Rosie said, trying to hold in her laughter, yep apparently being the son of the sea god means water can't harm me. Go figure.

"Okay well that aside I think that we can do some real training tomorrow, I'm sure Lady Athena is waiting for you at the Big House." She said, before leaving into the water with a bye. Man that was embarrassing, I spent hours trying to dodge her fast (slow) whips.

I fully regain my breath and make my way to the big house, as I look around I start to think about what my future holds. In the book 'I' was basically a slave, and I don't want that. But what can I do? I'm a Demi-God and am a subject to many prophecies in this pantheon.

'Ha~ Theres so much to do and think about, and despite there being 8 years before my first quest I'm still worried.' I thought, 'I' did so much in what little time in canon. But I don't want to be living off luck and fate, I want to win and live on my own terms. It may sound prideful but I'm not gonna let my life be dicked on by the fates, at least not without a fight.

I put my thoughts on hold as I'm now at the Big House, I walk up to the Porch to see Chiron and Mr. D playing Pinochle. As I walked up they turned their faces towards me, Chiron greeting me with a smile while Mr. D tries to look happy to see me.

"Hello Percy, I heard from Lady Athena that your receiving training with your powers. How did that go?" Chiron questioned, putting on a grandfatherly smile on his face. I blush at remembering my performance.

"Uh, well I, I kinda made a fool of myself." I said stuttering, embarrassed at what happened earlier.

"Oh? And how did that happen?" Mr. D said, looking amused. I cough as I said what happened, getting a laugh from Mr. D and a chuckle from Chiron.

"Well Percy, I'm sure Lady Athena is ready for your lessons now, head in and enter the 3rd door on the right." Chiron said, gesturing to the door. I nod and walk in, following his directions and knock on the door.

"Lady Athena? It Percy, Chiron said to come here." I said, before the door opened and I saw Lady Athena dressed as a school teacher.

"Hello Percy, now did you receive any past education?" Athena said, moving out of the way so I can walk in, seeing what looks like a classroom but it only has one seat and desk. At the question I realize that this could either be good, or bad.

"No? My mom read me stories and taught me how to count if that counts." I said, making myself limit some of my knowledge. I plan on getting a accelerated education by looking like a genius, I still have a child's mind so it can still grow fast, in which I plan on abusing.

"Hm, well then I shall teach you what you need to know. Be sure to tell me if you don't understand something." She said, before starting the lesson.

<Time Skip>

"And that clears that. Good job Percy." Athena said, giving me a small smile. Making me smile back.

"Thanks Lady Athena, is there something else we're doing?" I couldn't help but ask, if i'm to get stronger then I must try my very best.

"No, but I gave Chiron your schedule for you to follow. I must tend to my duties, see you soon Percy." She says, as she turns me around and flashes out. Alright then, off to memorize my schedule I go!

<With Athena>

I flash towards Olympus to report on my findings regarding Percy. As I walk towards the Throne Room I ignore the slightly lustful and envious looks from the other gods and goddesses, scoffing at their insolence.

I open the large doors as I see Zeus and Hera arguing, I cough lightly to gather their attention. They pause mid shout and turn towards me, Zeus looking at me with relief and Hera annoyance.

"What brings you here, daughter." Zeus said, hiding his relief.

"I'm here to report my findings on Perseus, please summon the council father." I said, carefully choosing my words as to not anger him.

"Fine." He said, not happy that Percy is the main subject of this meeting. He summons and throws his master bolt towards the ceiling as it gathers the attention of the Olympians, I sit down on my throne as the rest flash in, all curious on why they were summoned not over 18 hours ago.

"I've summoned you all here as to let Athena report his findings on, Perseus." He said, gesturing to me as I stand up in a regal position.

"I've tested Perseus on many subjects aside from his powers, and I've been extremely surprised to see him almost as smart as most of my children." I said, holding my pride back to give solid information.

"Whoa! So we have a genius super powered child in our hands?! Awesome!" Apollo said, looking excited.

"Indeed, I plan on giving him a schedule that will enforce his loyalty towards Olympus while making him extremely powerful." I said, causing Zeus' hand to flinch towards his bolt as if paranoid.

"Can't we just get him to swear an oath on the styx? It's easier, especially now as he's a child." Artemis said, causing a few eyebrows to rise.

"What? If Athena is practically raising him then I can expect something good from him, can't I?" She said, looking at me.

"Indeed, while it may be easier if Styx finds something that could be counted as even the slightest offense Perseus would be killed. I'd rather follow my plan." I said, gaining a few nods.

"All those in favor of Athena's plan?" Zeus said, trying to be as neutral as possible by raising his hand, the rest of the council following in.

"Then it's settled, Athena will follow through with her plan. Dismissed." Zeus said, as we all flashed out, with me heading towards my temple.

'I've got a lot of work in my hands, but thanks to Percy I now have a loop hole.' I thought, smirking at the real reason I choose to help train/raise Percy.

'I'll see you all, my children.' I thought with a smile.
