Chapter 60

          The guards of the Core court recognized Long feng and let him in, casting queer looks at Yan Jian and the unconscious Li yu'er.

This time, Long feng didn't lost his way. Lord Yi Ming had previously told him how to get to the palace.

They arrived in no time.

Lord Yi Ming was seated cross legged with his eyes closed as they entered the palace. He immediately opened his eyes.

"Master!" Yan Jian supported Li yu'er as Long feng clasped his fist at Lord Yi Ming.

Lord Yi Ming nodded, his eyes fixed on Li yu'er.

With his cultivation, it wasn't hard for him to sense what is wrong with Li yu'er. His gaze turned solemn.

"You aren't allowed to bring people into the Core court you know" Lord Yi Ming spoke.

Long feng remained silent. He knew that his presence within the Core court was not accepted by the Core disciples. Him bringing Yan Jian and Li yu'er was even more outrageous.

Lord Yi Ming looked at Yan Jian.

"I won't take responsibility for them if they get caught. You should escort your friend back" he said. Although reluctant, Yan Jian returned to the Elite court and waited.

Lord Yi Ming stood up and walked over to Li yu'er.

"Her life source is depleting at a surprising speed. If this continues, she would die in less than two years" he spoke audibly.

Long feng's eyes widened in surprise. Li yu'er had never mentioned any of that.

"What do you mean, master?" He asked. He knew what the life source was and he also knew that without life source, one could never stay alive. Life source was even more precious than the soul itself. Any slight reduction in your amount of life source would drastically reduce your life span!

"This demon is absorbing her life source in surprising amount. These veins are the vessels connected to her life source for it to absorb." Lord Yi Ming replied.

"Is there anyway to get the entity out?" Long feng asked.

Lord Yi Ming thought for a while, his aged eyes squinted.

"I can lay a sealing formation on it, but it will only seal it for a few weeks. Besides this demon seems to have been within her dantian for years. A normal person would have long died from continuous absorption of his life source. It is a miracle that she could hold on for so long." He said, paused then continued "I am sensing a special aura from her. If I am not wrong, this lady possesses a special body variation which replenishes her lost life source. Even then, she wouldn't live for much longer again.

Also, if I try to forcefully remove the demon, she could lose her cultivation for life"  He added.

Long feng didn't know what to say.

"Isn't there any other way?" He asked.

Lord Yi Ming seemed to think of something.

"I suppose there is a final method." He stopped abruptly and stared at Long feng. "What is your relationship with this lady?" He asked.

Long feng didn't expect that question and was lost for words. Why ask such questions?

"We are friends. Good friends, I guess" Long feng replied.

Lord Yi Ming squinted his eyes and stared at Long feng suspiciously.

"Is that all? There is nothing going on between you two? Just friendship?" He asked.

Long feng ".....?"

What had gotten into Lord Yi Ming's head suddenly?

But Long feng didn't speak out this thought. He merely shook his head.

"Nothing. We are merely good friends. Besides, I am just fifteen!" He exclaimed.

Lord Yi Ming nodded, satisfied.

"There is a final method. We can transfer the demon to another vessel, that is another person. But the receiver has to be a cultivator with a high cultivation level or else he would be killed by the pain and it would all amount to nothing" he said.

"Also, if the lady was born with the demon within her, then we can't transfer it or her life would be at risk. It must have been placed within her dantian after her birth!" He added.

Long feng was dazed for a moment. Sacrificing a life to save another life! That sounded quite brutal. Besides, who was stupid enough to sacrifice himself for another person? Who would want to accept the demon into his dantian?

Definitely not Long feng! He still had a long life ahead of him. Doing that would be foolishness.

"I will try to suppress the demon for now. You can decide on what to do once she wakes up" Lord Yi Ming said.

He sat down again and released his soul power. His hands movement were fascinating and smooth, like the movement of the water in a calm lake.

His dark eyes were focused on the runes that danced around him.

Few minutes later, the runes converged into a formation. Long feng recognized it as a sealing formation.

Lord Yi Ming made a few more hand seals and the formation drastically decreased in size as it sank into Li yu'er's dantian.

He then took out a small bottle containing three small red pills. He poured the pills into Li yu'er's mouth.

"That should do. She would probably wake up soon" he said.

The veins on Li yu'er's figure began to vanish into thin air as if they were never there. Her pale face began to regain its color and her inner energy began to revitalize.

Even Lord Yi Ming couldn't help but be stunned at Li yu'er's beauty. He raised his head and stared at Long feng.

"You said there is nothing going on between you two?" He asked.

Long feng "...."

     He was still dazed by Li yu'er's looks too. Why did she hide her face when she was already so devastatingly beautiful?

Her beauty could outshine even the moon!

Did she hide her face because she knew that she was far too beautiful? That she could cause the downfall and destruction of countless people and cities with just her looks? That sounded logical.

He sat down and waited for her to wake up. He had a lot of questions to ask her, including why she hid her face..
