By the next morning, at least three thousand youths had gathered in the Blue sky sect's territory.

At noon, a powerful aura suddenly enveloped the entire area around the pavilion blanketing everyone present under it's might.

A solemn atmosphere filled the area as everyone kept mute regardless of their status.

"This aura… a spirit realm master?" Long feng exclaimed in alarm. Although this aura was weaker than that of limitless blood assassin, it was ni doubt the aura of a spirit realm master.

A beautiful middle aged woman dressed in golden robes appeared abruptly in the sky. She had a dignified bearing that made her seem untouchable by the mundane world. Her sharp eyes swept over the youths standing below casually.

"Is that lady Bei?"

"Oh my god! It really is her!"

"She is already a spirit realm master? She is really worthy of being the best talent of the previous generation!"

Many hushed whispers could be heard.

"Who is lady Bei?" Long feng asked Yan Jian.

"Her full name is Bei ya. She is the best talent of the province in the previous generation. Although her talent is lacking compared the current top talent of this generation, she is still not to be underestimated." Yan Jian replied.

Long feng nodded.

"Anyone who could become a spirit realm master cannot be underestimated." He had learnt that after their life and death battle against limitless blood assassin. It was obvious that limitless blood didn't use even fifty percent of his strength yet he was able to push them into a desperate situation. If he had gone all out since from the beginning and used all his strength, none of them would have been able to escape even if they had wings.

"It seems she is the one going to manage the competition" Yan Jian murmured.

"Silence!" In the sky, Bei Ya suddenly spoke. Everyone instantly quietened down.

"You have all come here to participate in the competition for a spot to enter the clear sky realm and There are only fifty spots available for the hundreds of you to compete over. For that reason, the competition is going to be very strict and ruthless. The blue sky sect would not be held responsible for any deaths once the competition begins. If any of you wishes to quit, you should do it right now before it is too late!" Bei Ya's voice spread to every corner of this area. Bei Ya didn't bicker with those who chose to quit and ordered them to be led out of the sect's territory. After some twenty or so people quit, no one else quitted anymore.

Nodding her head, Bei Ya spoke.

"You have all decided to stay. Very well. The competition will be divided into three tests. The first part of the competition will take place in the Yin ghost forest."

Hearing this, many people revealed surprised and excited expressions while some revealed terrified expressions.

Not taking their expressions to heart though, Bei Ya continued.

"In the Yin ghost forest, countless wild beasts reside. Other than that though, there are some other creatures which reside in the forest. They are called Yin ghosts. Due to the presence of abundant Yin energy in the forest, these Yin ghosts are born. The first test is that all of you will be sent to the Yin ghost forest. Your primary goal is to kill as many beasts and ghosts as you can. Killing the Yin ghosts give half as much points as Killing the beasts. The higher your point, the higher your ranking. Moreover, if you kill someone else, you get thrice the points for killing a beast."

"What! Aren't they just asking us to kill each other?"

Some people were terrified.

"I don't mind. It's been long since I killed someone"

Bei Ya continued without listening to the complaints of the youths.

"Also, if you kill someone, you get the half of the points he already has. The test will continue for a month. Any treasure you get in the forest belongs to you and the sect won't ask for it."

"You have two hours to get prepared." Bei Ya waved her hand and vanished.

Many of the juniors had downcast expressions. Of course, those were the weak cultivators. The stronger cultivators had excited expressions on their faces as they prepared to set out.

Long feng frowned.

"If the Blue sky sect is aware of this, then why my are they sending all of us to the forest? Isn't it like sending us to our deaths?"

"They are trying to drastically reduce the number of competitors. That is why lady Bei first made it clear that the Blue sky sect wouldn't be responsible for any deaths." Yan Jian replied, then continued. "But they wouldn't simply send us to our deaths. All the major forces in the continent have used countless lives to create a considerably safe area in the edge of the forest. The blue sky sect should also have a safe zone in the forest. They will probably give us a portion of the map of the clear zone. After all, many of the juniors present are disciples of famous masters or sects. It wouldn't be a wise choice to offend all of these forces by sending their disciples to their deaths."

Long feng nodded.

"Let's make sure we are at our peak conditions before the two hours is used up!"

He sat down on the floor and began to restore his energy to the peak.

The others also did the same.

Soon, the two hours was up. Bei Ya appeared abruptly above everyone as though she had always been there.

"Your time is up. We will set out now!" With a wave of her sleeve, her spirit energy covered all the juniors present.

A sharp screech sounded in the air as hundreds of large golden feathered eagles appeared in everyone's sight.

"The eagles are raised by the blue sky sect." Yan Jian murmured softly to Long feng and the others.

"Five people on each eagle!" Bei Ya ordered as the eagles flew down, stirring up the winds.

Their wings were wide and very sharp and their backs were large enough to accommodate five people.

Yan Jian took the lead and jumped onto the back of one of the eagles. Long feng, Li yu'er and 'young master Yu' also jumped on.

"We're four. We need one more person" Long feng looked around.

At that moment, a young man who looked to be nearing the age of thirty jumped onto the same bird as them. His cultivation was impressively at the first Yang level.

The man nodded at them and stood on his own.

An incense stick worth of time later, everyone had boarded the golden feathered eagles.

"Let's go!" Bei Ya ordered and the hundreds of eagles screeched and took to the sky in response.

"Traveling on a flight type wild beast is really convenient." Long feng praised.

The golden feathered eagles were flying at a speed comparable to a peak Yin level cultivator.

The only setback to traveling this way was that one had to use inner energy to protect himself against the razor sharp wind to avoid being disheveled.

"It really is. One day, I will have my own flight type wild beasts, or even better, I will reach the spirit realm and fly through the air on my own!" Yan Jian nodded.

The journey was uneventful and one day later, everyone could spot a dark and gloomy area in the distance. The area was covered in an eery fog and emanated a Yin energy that shook the soul. This fog could be spotted for as far as the eyes could see and beyond.

"That is the Yin ghost forest. It actually connects three Continents together!. It is difficult to imagine how vast it is. What we are seeing is just the very edge of the forest." Yan Jian spoke up.

He knew more about the Yin ghost forest than the others so he took it upon himself to explain everything to them.

Although they could already see the forest, they were still some distance away from it. It still took them an hour to finally reach the edge of the forest.

Before them was a vast, almost boundless area covered in fog that no one could see through, not even Long feng's Immortal sight.

The mere sight of this fog made some people feel their knees melting and a chill shot up their spines.

It couldn't be helped, though, as the terror of the Yin ghost forest had already been imprinted in the depths of their minds.
