Peace Chapter One

I placed the plates on the table in front of the two customers. Asking them if they needed anything else, after a quick no I walked away. I made my way back up to the front taking off my smock and sitting it on the counter. I waved goodbye to my uncle and older brother as I walked out of the restaurant. Outside stood my older sister, twin brother, and cousin.

"You ready," my twin brother Leland asked me. Leland and I both have red hair and green eyes.

"Yes, let's go," I said with a smile getting into the back seat.

"Are you guys ready for your first day of college," asked Hazel with a smile. Hazel has long red hair with blue eyes.

"I'm glad we get to go because I never thought we would," My cousin Sammuel said, "because you know money." Sammuel has Brown hair and blue eyes.

"Thankfully there's scholarships," Hazel said.

"Thankfully there's soccer," Leland said.

"To soccer," Sammuel said lifting a cup of coffee he took from the restaurant.

"To soccer," Leland replied holding up his own cup of coffee.

"To being smart am I right Lucy," she said holding up her coffee.

"I didn't bring coffee," I said, "but yes to smarts."

"Are you serious," Sammy asked turning to me after a while of our driving "Look at this." He shoved his phone up into my face. It was an Instagram post from Tracy Buchannon, we don't like her after she made up a rumor about Sammy and me. She was all over Hazel's ex-boyfriend Micheal.

"Are you serious," I said, "can she not leave us alone."

"Wait what's she doing now," Hazel asked.

"She's with your ex," I said.

"She can have my sloppy seconds I'm done with him," She replies.

"Good for you," LeeLee said as we pulled up to the college.

We have always lived in a college town and planned to go to school here. We got out after saying a quick goodbye to each other and walked our separate ways. I saw a few kids from my high school, but there were a lot of people I didn't know. I made my way to my first class we were kind of running late due to the restaurant being so busy. I entered the classroom, starting the walk to an open seat at the back.

A voice came from behind me "what the diner can't afford to teach its employees how to make a burger. What a Loser." A few people snickered behind me. I knew that voice was Tracy, I kept my head down making my way to the back when I tripped.

"Loser," a male's voice shouted I didn't know him, but he sat beside Julia otherwise known as Tracy's best friend. Everyone started to laugh.

"Fuck off Connor," another voice said I felt two hand's wrap around my arm "come on stand up." He has a muscular build, brown hair and eyes. I stood up to meet his eyes, giving him a smile. "You okay."

"Yes, thank you," I said.

"Come on let's go," he said motioning with his head towards the back of the room. We sat down at the back table.

"I'm Lucian," I said holding out my hand to him.

"Tyler," He said, "I thought you were."

I cut him off "Leland."

"Well yes," he said.

"Well, we are twins, so it happens," I said.

"Really?"

"Oh yeah were Identical, people have a hard time telling us apart. At least until I started wearing make-up when I was 16."

"Definitely didn't notice till you turned around," he said giving a laugh "so what made you want to become a fashion Artist."

"I've been in the food service industry for my entire life. I learned at a young age that Art has been my getaway from everything. I've been making my own clothes since I was fifteen and my uncle let me get a sewing machine," I said with a smile.

"What about you," I asked.

"I don't know I guess you can say I've always liked fashion," he said simply with a shrug. We passed the time before the professors came in. We continue to talk and sit beside each other in our shared classes. The time for lunch came sooner than we expected as we left the classroom.

"I could eat a cow," he said holding his stomach "who are you eating with."

"Depends I don't know if my brother or cousin get out for lunch at the same time," I said."Guess your kind of right," he said, "Want to sit with me? The friends I made at soccer aren't out yet."

"Sure." We made our way to the lunchroom. I looked around but I didn't see any of the others around, so I followed him to the line.

"So, you work at a restaurant," He asked.

"My family owns a small diner," I said.

"That's cool," he said like he truly believed it. We gathered our food looking for an Empty table.

"Lucian," I heard someone call out as I walked by a table, I turned to see Sammy waving me over. I grabbed Tyler by the sleeve of the Jean jacket he was wearing.

"Hey Sammy, this is Tyler from your soccer team, he saved me from Tracy and Julia," I said.

"Of course, they had to get you when you were alone," He said "Nice to meet you. You can call me Sammy or Sam," He looked over to a guy sitting beside him "This is Oli my new favorite twink."

"Hi Oli, I'm Lucian or Lucy the original twink," I said.

"You go by Lucy," Tyler said. Oh no here it come's "That's cute it fit's you."

"Listen Tyler if you're interested in Lucy here tell me now," Sammy asked.

"Oh no I didn't mean it like that," he said, "I'm straight."

"Really," Sammy asked.

"Yeah, my brother's gay though, I hung out with him and his best friend a lot. So, things like fashion, make-up, complimenting other guys just come's more natural to me. I'm not afraid to tell a brother he looks hot but that doesn't mean I want to sleep with him," he said.

"Okay cool," Sammy said.

At that point in time the doors slammed open and in walked three guys and two girls. I couldn't help but watch as they walked by. I couldn't take my eyes off him. I could feel butterflies just by being in the same room as him. He had dark black hair tied back into a bun, he was wearing a leather jacket and black pants. As he passed some tables, he gave out a few winks. I feel someone's elbow meet my rib's.

"Ow."

"Stop staring it's creepy," Sammy said.

"My bad," I said shrugging.

"I can't believe we already have homework," Oli said lightly "I was kind of hoping we could get a nice easy week."

"We have some in our regular classes but not our course class yet," Tyler complained.

"Get up," I heard from behind me I turned to see Tracy, Julia, another girl who I've never met, Connor, and Micheal. Tracy has long straight brown hair and blue eyes. Julia has blonde curly hair that never looks to be out of place and blue eyes. Connor has bleach blonde hair and green eyes. Micheal has short brown hair and green eyes.

"Fuck off," Tyler said.

"Listen I know the two of you are new to their whole Loser team but here's how this is going to go. You're going to deny us. Then I'm going to make your life a living hell until you learn," Tracy said, "so let's cut the crap and you loser's move." I started to stand up and grab my stuff.

"Sit down Lucian," another voice came I looked over to see Hazel. Tracy gave her a look that If looks could kill Hazel would be incinerated. "I'm not afraid of you Tracy this isn't high school, it's time you learn you can't bully your way out of everything." Tracy huffed but walked away.

"Thank you, Hazel," I said.

"Now sit," she said, "this is Lisa If Tracy ever bother's you and I'm not around go to her. Lisa this is one of the twins and my younger cousins Sammy." Lisa had beautiful Long curly brown hair. Hazel sat down on the other side of me.

"Sorry you had to go through that Tyler, Oli," I said.

"Doesn't bother me," Tyler said, "Connor got lucky these two came." I gave him a look that I hope read spill the tea "Connor and I have a jaded history. In our school even with this day and age there were only like five guys who were out. My brother, his friend, Connor, and his two minions. Connor was part of the popular crowd, my brother was chill with everyone, and his friend was really quiet, so people thought he was weird. One day some of the guy's dared Connor to sleep with the friend. He did and then he proceeded to spread the whole video across campus. The bullying got so bad the friend had to leave the school. So, I just really don't like that guy."

"That makes me so angry how can you just do that to someone," Hazel says.

"Now they're over there sitting with Maddox's crew taking advantage of them probably being too nice to say no," Lisa said. I looked over to where she was looking and there sat 'hot guy' and his friends. Hanging all over 'hot guy' was Julia probably for the best he looks like the type to want a girl like her.

"You're just saying that because you have a huge crush on Piper," Hazel said.

"I can't help it I've tried I really have," Lisa said.
