(Yunmi's Pov) [The Busty Pearl/ time One day after the deal has been stuck]

Yunmi sighed and looked at the half-empty room. The first day of her job was hectic, she was not too familiar with regular civilians, but at this point, it was getting too ridiculous. The first thing they did, brought her to a hot spring, then the girls interrogated her on her background.

When she told them her fake backstory, which should be typical of a ruined farming family, Yunmi was surprised when she made the whole room cry, she knew that she was the best in acting and infiltration class, but she did not expect that those lessons would be this effective.

Then the girls brought her back to the pearl and gave her new clothes, and food and they spent the rest of the evening chatting, and they taught her about her new job.

In the busty pearl, the girls only sleep in the morning, and they would stay awake at night, Yunmi's. 'New job.' consists of her becoming an assistant to one of the higher-class ladies.

She had to do everything the lady told her, and do everything that they asked of her, Yunmi stood up from her futon and walked towards the bathroom, there she freshened herself up, then she came back, and she looked out the window.

(High up from the busty pearl looking over Jinja city)

The sun was beginning to set and the day for the pearl just started, the mist was light on account of sunlight penetrating through the fog of Waves, she looked at the massive clusters of buildings alleyways, small canals, and the people walking back and forth through the city.

It was a magical view to look at, Yunmi sighed in contentment and kept on watching the sunset, and after a while, she could see the fog descending on the city, the sunlight disappearing, and the fog reclaiming its place.

Yunmi looked down and saw all of her new friends cleaning up the courtyard, carrying items back and forth, bottles of liquor, makeup, and breakfast for their ladies.

She turned around and tightened her new obi, then she picked up her senbon and hid it in her new hidden pockets she made while the other girls slept. 'Can't believe the other kunoichi don't take seduction classes.' She lamented while getting ready for her first day.

Remembering her seduction class Yunmi smiled, they taught them everything about infiltration in plain sight, even the boys could attend if they are handsome enough. Billy was kicked out of the class.

She moved her hands around, feeling her hidden kunai weighing her hands down inside of her sleeves, Yunmi walked towards the door and found her sandals. She placed her feet on them and walked with them, testing them out.

The wooden sandals clinked and clanged with each step that she took. 'No sound coming from the hidden blades in the wood.' She thought while smiling at her work, chakra makes everything easier to do.

She remade her wooden shoes while she was in the bathroom, it took her five minutes to finish both shoes and hide her weapons.

Nodding in satisfaction she walked out of the door and what greeted her was a flurry of girls walking back and forth, carrying all sorts of items in their hands, sake, food, perfumes, makeup, and clothing.

Yunmi dodged around the girls and walked towards the private rooms, in these rooms she learned that clients pay for some private time with the ladies, she stopped and looked down at the seating area of the pearl.

The pearl was over five-story tall, the first floor is a restaurant that served food and sake, the second floor is for richer clients, and the third floor was shaped as a small theater where rich clients could reserve a musical celebration with dancing for a group of people.

The final two floors were the private rooms of the working girls and geishas, at the top sits the owner of the building the oiran Tajima.

Yunmi stopped looking at the restaurant area below her, and continued walking, she turned to the right corridor and found herself in a wooden hallway with paper doors lining the sides.

She looked at the door that they told her to go to, and slowly knocked at the wooden part of the door, she waited with bated breath, and after a while, she heard a sweet feminine voice call out. "Come in."

Gently Yunmi walked in head lowered and looking down. "Look at me." She looked up and saw the woman she would be working under, loose inky hair falling down to her back, pale white skin, sharp yellow eyes akin to an eagle, full red lips wrapped around a pipe, and a single beauty mark under her left eye.

(The woman)

The woman who was sitting on a wooden chair; spoke while exhaling the smoke. "My name is Kuba Kiyomi, I wake up at seven in the evening, I enjoy a light smoke when I wake up, I do light stretches after my morning smoke, then I eat a light meal with no meat for breakfast."

She leaned back on her chair and looked up at the sealing. "Then I clean my body in rose water and perfumes, I apply my makeup, and go to work for the day." She places the pipe in her mouth again. "I expect my lunch to be on time and I do not enjoy shrimp, onions, and garlic unless it is the end of my workday."

She inhales more of the smoke and sits straighter and looks at Yunmi with piercing yellow eyes, She exhales, and the smoke flies up in the air, covering her eyes and making her look like a predator that is watching its prey. "After my workday is done, and I do not have a stay-in client I expect a book that you recommend in the evening with my dinner, I want a full body massage before bed and for you to sing me to sleep."

Yunmi looked at the woman who told her, her whole life story the moment they met, although she is a kunoichi, she was intimidated by this woman, and Yunmi fell back into her training and slowly bowed. "Yes, Kuba-sama. I will fetch your breakfast."

Kube inhaled again and looked at Yunmi critically, then she smiled. "Good, you learned quickly." Yunmi bowed again and walked out of the room.

After closing the door Yunmi walked several steps out of the hallway and stood in silence. "Where was the personal kitchens again?" she wondered while walking towards the stairs down.

(Yunmi Yamanaka) [Busty Pearl / Time 4 days after joining the pearl]

Yunmi sighed and walked back into the busty pearl, in her hands was a rustic basket filled with seaweed and bottled creams, she looked around the pearl and saw various people walking out of the pearl.

For three days she busted her ass working for that manic Kuba, not only was she a picky eater but if she saw something unusual she took it as an omen. 'Who does that?!' Yunmi screamed internally.

She remembers a day ago when Kuba saw a sparrow flying in the air, she closed her eyes and said. "That is an omen." Then, Kuba, the bitch ordered Yunmi to gather seven male bugs and crush them under the window, to ward off evil spirits.

Now Yunmi had to go to the fish market and get some seaweed because an omen had shown itself and Kuba had to stay in a room for two hours while applying creams and inhaling seaweed steam.

Yunmi stopped thinking for a moment when she saw her tormentor's door, she walked in and found the room empty, Yunmi sighed. 'She left again.' She shook her head and walked to the mirror.

There she placed the cream bottles near the mirror, but then she stopped and looked at something interesting. She saw a round golden seal of a cloud, and her arms instinctually reached towards it, but then she heard a voice.

She quickly ran towards the closet and took a large towel and jumped on top of the dresser, Yunmi twisted her body around to appear flatter and covered herself.

Anyone who saw Yunmi would assume that what was on top of the closet was folded-up clothing.

Yunmi peaked with one eye at the door and saw it sliding open, Kuba walked in, and behind her was a fat monk. Yunmi knew that the monks were numerous in the pearl, but this is the first time she saw Kube bringing anyone into her room. 'Maybe he is a client.' She thought while she watched them sit together.

The monk spoke first. "So, anything new?" He spoke with a lazy drawl, and he rubbed his fat fingers together.

Kube sighed and shook her head. "Nothing incriminating yet."

The monk frowned. "We sent you here for a reason, how did you not find anything about the monks yet?"

Yunmi narrowed her one eye. 'What is he talking about.'

Kube took her pipe and lit it up. "And what were you doing then? You are in the middle of their dealings, yet you didn't find shit."

"It's complicated." The monk replayed and stuffed his hand between his robes. "the inner circle does not trust me yet, and he has been missing for a while now."

Kube inhaled her pipe in frustration and bit her lips. "They will be mad." She stated and inhaled from her pipe, then spoke while exhaling. "His brother died here…" Kube stopped and looked towards the cabinet.

Yunmi gulped and stilled her breath, Kube was looking in her direction, then she looked at the monk, and they both continued speaking, then she saw Kube standing up and walking towards the cabinet.

She saw her change the tone of her voice lower and lower with each silent step she took, then she slowly passed the cabinet and leaned towards the window, then quickly she struck her hand past the window.

The sound of a piercing fist penetrating flesh was heard, and Yunmi heard the footsteps of Kube return back to normal, she walked back towards the monk, and in her hand was a headless child. "No need to worry." She spoke and flicked her hand, blood spluttered to the floor. "Just another information rat."

Yunmi knew what Kube was talking about, every city has civilian rats sneaking around trying to find information, and they sell this information to an information broker that the shinobi villages deal with.

The monk sighed in relief. "Good I thought the monks were suspicious of me." He stood up from the chair and cracked his back. "Kube." He gave her a severe look. "We have one week, if we do not find anything we have to report back to the village, and I will tell you something."

He gently walked toward the door and sighed. "The Raikage is not happy with us."

Kube gave a single nod and watched him walk away, then she sat back down. "Now, where is my damn seaweed?" she looked at the bottles of cream. "That damn girl, I bet she forgot the seaweed." She stood up and walked out of the room.

Yunmi quickly jumped out of her hiding place, placed everything where it was, and jumped out of the window, she quickly hid in the shadows between buildings and jumped from street to street, until finally, she returned back to where she walked before.

She revealed herself between the buildings and ran at civilian speed towards the pearl. When she arrived in her hand was the basket filled with seaweed, she thankfully didn't put the seaweed with the cream, which gave her an alibi of her not being in the pearl.

When she arrived at the pearl she saw Kube, and Yunmi fell back into her training. 'You are a civilian; act like it; the fact that she is a hidden kunoichi does not matter.' She calmed herself.

Yunmi presented herself sweating from the running and with a bright smile she spoke. "Kube-sama! Sorry, I'm late; I forgot your seaweed." Kube looked at her and sighed.

(Yunmi POV) [Busty pearl / 7 days after recruitment into the pearl. Time 3:32 AM]

Yunmi looked back at the pearl, and she sighed with tiredness, after discovering that Kube was a kunoichi she finally understood what she was doing, she suspect that Yunmi was a spy placed by Tajima.

This is why she was sent back and forth to retrieve weird items or beauty supplies for Kube, so she could have some free time and investigate without anyone listening in, now she is on one of her new errands, and she was told to bring incense sticks from a specific shop that is at the edge of the city.

Yunmi stopped her thoughts and looked down at the canal, she found a driver and paid him some coins. "Can you get me to the furthest west district?" She asked with a kind smile.

The boat driver had a large straw hat that covered his face to protect him from the rain, he had torn clothing and a large stick to push the boat across the canal; he smiled and showed her his broken teeth while taking the coins. "Sure thing miss; fast or slow?" He asked while Yunmi jumped on the small boat.

Yunmi sighed. "Slow if you could." There are various ways to get around the city, and the canals are one of them, she could choose the fast way, but it gets you dirty on account of the boat passing under small waterfalls.

So, she chose the slow way, it may take more time, but she could use that time to rest for the day and think about her new information.

The boat driver gave a single nod, and Yunmi sat on the boat, the river waters were azure blue, with multiple lily pads flowing through the canals. She could see the fog of the city floating around in the air.

(The river at night in Jinja)

With a heavy push, the boat driver pushed the boat along the canal, she saw the water and mist parting ways for them, and she saw the various people walking back and forth beside the canal.

Yunmi inhaled the mist and began to think, she remembers her mission, to find the outpost and find out what happened to their shinobi.

They passed under a bridge, and she saw orange lanterns across the canals. "Thinking hard young lady?" The driver asked while pushing the boat.

"Yes… It's nothing much, but it's about my job." She replayed while eyeing the driver wearily from the corner of her eyes.

The driver pulled his rod out of the water and pushed again. "Must be a hard job for you to think this hard, we've spent twenty minutes and nigh a word out of ya." He gave a smile.

Yunmi blinked in surprise. "I guess I am too lost on how to go on."

She heard a chuckle, and the driver spoke. "You will find your way out of it, lass."

Yunmi sighed and cupped her chin. "I hope you are right."

The driver and Yunmi spent twenty more minutes in silence, and finally, they arrived at their destination, the docks were emptier than the center of the city, the streets were made out of mud, and the homes were shoddier.

When they docked, the driver spoke while pulling out his small pipe. "I will be waiting for you here, lady." He lit up his pipe and exhaled. The smoke disappeared in the mist.

"But I didn't ask you to stay?" Yunmi asked unsurely.

The driver laughed and spoke again. "You are a lady of the pearl; I've my instruction from the Oiran." He shook his head and leaned back into his boat.

Yunmi gave a single nod and walked furth inland, she saw the dramatical change in the city, at the center of the city everything glowed with light, laughter, music, and art; but here everything changed.

She saw sickly people escaping the strife from their villages, she heard talks of the young new daimyo raising taxes, and burning villages to the ground if they did not pay what they are owed.

The internal laws of the country changed daily, and more prison carts were seen on the road, She understood that the time to strike is now if one wishes to take over the island country.

The yearly storm which locks Wave's docks were currently happening. Yunmi stopped and looked up at the sky. She saw clouds moving towards the east. 'No storm in Jinja today.' She thought and smiled.

Yunmi gulped and remembered what Danzo spoke of while they walked across the country; the yearly storm only happens in waves; he told her the waves that they rode on when they entered the country were part of the storm.

Every year waves suffer a major lockdown, no one enters, and no one gets out for a long period of time, luckily she and her team entered just when the waves were the calmest.

Now it is impossible to get out or someone coming into the country, even with the help of chakra.

Yunmi stopped walking around the district and saw her destination. A broken shop with chipped withered old doors, the shop was small and stuck between two broken buildings; weeds grew around the shop, and hanging by one rusted chain was the name of the shop on a plank of moldy wood.

(How the shop looks like)

She approached the sign hesitantly; the heavy fog obscured the shadows around her, and it made her nervous. She read the sign. 'Hora Sora's magnificent herbs and local remedies' She looked under the name and thanks to her shinobi training she could read the small words. 'No refunds!'

Blinking her eyes in wonder at the small writings she looked at the shop again. 'She said that the shop would be open… I hope I'm not buying some poison for her.' Yunmi walked towards the door and knocked on it once.

When no one answered she knocked again, and she heard an old voice speak out. "Come in! We are always open damnit!" The voice was tight and a little bit high-pitched, but she could hear the old age in the voice.

She walked in and observed her surroundings. The shop was dark and smelly, that was the first thing that hit her, she could smell the musk the moment she stepped in, and she saw a large row of flat-top mushrooms growing from the wall.

Tall stalks of purple plants growing from holes in the ground live bugs in jars that squirmed around, fireflies swarming around a single flower that glowed slightly, she saw red crystals that had a danger sign next to them.

In the middle of the square shop was a desk that was grown from a trunk of a tree; it protruded from the ground and twisted itself the other in a zigzagging motion up to the second floor of the shop where she saw the leaves hanging in the air.

The floor was made entirely out of mud, and behind the desk, she saw an old thin-looking man, with a long flowing white beard and a fuman mustache combo; the old man had thick long nails that made him look like a dark wizard in a story Billy told her once.

"Welcome! Dear customer: please browse to your heart's content and ask me anything you wish for!" The old man laughed and rubbed his hands together greedily while looking at Yunmi.

Yunmi smiled at the old man and walked around the shop, she saw a lot of weird stuff, and after a while, she walked back to the old man and a small brush in her hand. "I would like this, and I'm here to pick an order for Lady Kube."

The old man stopped smiling and began humming and rubbing his beard. "Hmm… yes, lady Kube, a valuable customer." He opened one of his eyes and looked at her. "Give me a moment to prepare her orders." He went to the back of the shop.

.

.

.

(???? POV)

He woke up, his mind triggered a memory, and he stopped walking; he slowly placed the items on the desk and looked at his victim when they looked back blackness.

A black inky sea that he saw time and time again, it reminded him of home; a blank white sky with a black moon, the world turned into a white page. He swam with the black waves, sludge, and current pulled on him, but he prevailed.

(Sea and moon)

Finally reaching the black shores, he took a deep breath and looked at the empty world. "Back again." He spoke to himself, and he went into the ever-shifting woods.

The black jungle shifted with each step he took, it changed with every emotion he found, and after a while, he found a house in the middle of the jungle. "Let's do this." He spoke and walked towards the house.

Just when he was about to enter he felt a force stop him, he halted in his steps and looked back, finding her.

Porcelain dolls hanging from trees, nooses on their necks, cracks on their skins, and holes where their eyes used to be and they all wore white dresses. (Each doll saw him), and they jumped at him.

He found himself in a different world; once there was a house, and now he is in a dark room. A single desk and chair awaited him. "Hold on… I know this place." He whispered to himself.

"If you know this place, then tell me the name." A sweet childish voice that echoed around him spoke.

He looked around and found the owner of the voice, another single porcelain doll, with orange hair, a white sundress, and a large hat; a single human eye peaked at him, flesh melded with the porcelain and it made the doll look scarier than it should ever be.

(Dolly!)

He smiled and looked at the doll, then he clapped his hands, and the place changed from the blank room to an open beach, distant stars, and the sound of waves crashing into the sand.

The doll stood on the beach, while the man stood in the water. "Welcome to the black rooms." He spoke, and his smile stretched.

(Yunmi POV) [the busty pearl's basement /Three days after the storm and the store]

Yunmi gulped and hid behind the sake barrels; it took her three days to set things up for him. She saw him in the black rooms that day; no one but him could do that; they were open he was not a betrayer.

She could see him whole, and he saw her whole; he saw her memories of the village, he saw his daughter begging her to find him, and she saw him being betrayed by their comrade.

She remembers the day he suffered; one minute, everything was fine; the next he had to escape from his outpost; no one knew he had been here for three years, and he instantly knew they were betrayed.

He faked his death, he drugged one of them and barely let him hang on to life, then he implanted fake memories of him dying, the shinobi fell for it, and he hid deeper into his personas.

His name is Yasu Yamanaka, and he split his mind to hide; he triggered specific instructions in his mind; he would act like an old man, and he would believe to be an old man for the rest of his life.

Unless he was about to die, or he found something that the original could use, Yasu was a blackmail expert; he knew that Kube was a hidden Kumo spy, so when they sent her to him, his mind instantly activated and he snuck into her mind.

At first, he simply wished to gather information, but then he learned that Yunmi was his clansmen through the black rooms.

Yunmi clenched her fists. 'If it weren't for the black rooms, he would have killed me.' The black rooms were the greatest of the Yamanaka's clan's secrets. The black rooms are the foundation from which their abilities come.

At a young age every Yamanaka suffered from the black rooms; to activate it a young child's mind must be stuffed into the primal path; she knew that the mind had three parts.

The first is the primal, the survival part of the brain, and the smallest, acting on basic desires of feeding, mating, and surviving.

The second is the civilization part; the civilization brain helps a person in learning what is acceptable in their environment and what is to be avoided to survive.

And finally, the last part is the control, It is the part that decides what to do, judging the pros and cons of what is best to survive.

Every Yamanaka when they are born, they are animal, not because of how children act, but because of their bloodline, their mind does not set in three parts, but in one part, every part of their psyche is stuffed into the primal path.

Every young Yamanaka must survive the black rooms or their brains fight for dominance; a Yamanaka's brain is not one brain, it is three brains in one, and they fight in the black rooms.

And when the fight is over, the dominant mind takes over and sacrifices the other brains to be the building blocks of the black rooms. From the black rooms, the Yamanaka could use their techniques; from the black rooms, they could speak to one another without shame or guilt; from the black rooms, they are safe from the cruel world.

The Yamanaka is one and separated; each child that is born is a soul, but with a shared brain; that is why she instantly knew that the old man was her clansman the moment he touched her mind.

She instantly knew everything that happened, and he knew everything that happened to her, and it only took one second in the real world, the second moment they planned their mission and what to do.

Yunmi heard the sound of footsteps coming to the basement; she steeled herself and revealed herself.

From the shadow, she saw them, Kube and the fat monk walking down. When they arrived, and Yunmi showed herself, Kube looked at her with shock in her eyes. "You!?"

Yunmi sighed and looked down at the basement, she was sitting on top of the barrels of sake, and the basement was covered in cold rocks that kept the place dry and cold. "Yes me." Yunmi smiled at the one who tormented her.

Kube shook her head. "To be fooled by a young one such as yourself, I must have slipped while playing my role."

Two days ago, Yunmi and Yasu made a plan, they knew that the mist village was behind all that happened to them thanks to Yasu digging the information out of the people who were following him before he faked his death.

Thanks to Yunmi's lucky stumble on Kube, they had a way to gain more allies; the problem was that they needed to draw them out and listen to them. Yasu told Yunmi to leave a sealed note in Kube's room and hide in the basement.

She looked down and tapped the barrels, and from an empty barrel, Yasu emerged. "We mean you no harm, Kumo shinobi." He looked at them both.

"What is it that you want?" The fat monk looked at the restored Yasu.

After restoring his mind, Yasu removed the makeup on himself, and now he looked like a middle-aged man with yellow hair that was tied in a long ponytail. Yasu jumped from the barrel that he had hidden in for two days; he stretched his arms around and cracked his back. "I come to you with a deal."

"Why should we trust you? We do not even know who you belong to?" Kube asked while glaring at Yunmi.

Yasu sighed. "Look, I do not know if you've noticed, but currently, Waves is…" He waved his hand around, searching for words. "In a dire situation."

"We should care why?" asked the monk.

"You shouldn't." He replayed quickly. "But I bet this could change your mind." He threw a scroll at them; the monk caught it and began to read, and while he read, she heard Yasu speak to her from the black rooms.

"Here is a tip, young Yunmi, always have some blackmail ready to sell; they could open some doors for you," Yasu spoke while leaning on a barrel.

Yunmi looked at the monk whose face slowly morphed into a deep frown that could crack stone; he slowly crumbled up the scroll and set it on fire with a single hand. "How did you know this?!" The monk asked. "We've been searching for weeks now; we could not find anything about him!"

Yasu laughed. "It's simple, really." Yasu licked his lips. "You ain't me." He smiled. "so, are you willing to help us? And in return, we will help you… a truce if you will, in waves only; after that, we returned back to being enemies."

Yunmi looked at Kube, who gritted her teeth; she slowly took a deep breath and looked at Yasu. "Give us a moment to discuss this."

.

Yunmi sighed in annoyance; she looked at the adults talking in the corner, Kube, the monk whose name is Natsuko, and her clansman. After agreeing to the deal they kept on sharing information with each other for over an hour.

Yunmi, who was not yet allowed to know what is going on, lounged on the barrel, waiting for them to finish; suddenly, while she was playing around with her kunai she felt the seal that she was given buzzing.

She pulled it out, and it was Billy's seal. 'Billy…' She looked at her clansmen and spoke from the black rooms. "act natural, but my seal activated. One of my teammates is asking for us."

Yasu kept on talking, and when he stopped, he quickly spoke from the black rooms. "We wait; I know Danzo he would not like it if we barged in with two… enemy shinobi with us."

Yunmi closed their connection and looked at the seal; she placed it back in and sighed. 'I hope sensei reaches you, Billy.'
