Encounter

Sitting on his bed Allisrer had two items in front of him. The first was the ball he used to blow up the mafia family while the other was the black card he received from the maid.

The iron ball was one of his most effective weapons, it is made of mostly iron but contains a piece of galverite. When it is heated without a coolant it becomes unstable and will detonate, the force of the explosion is nearly seven times stronger than a hand grenade.

After he checked he found out that the card had one million credits stored inside it. This and the money he received from the confirmed death of Mr. Hawthorne made him almost reach his goal of getting a better place in the middle district.

At this moment though Allister was thinking of running an experiment, back at the mafia hq he felt an odd heat around his hands when he held the bombs. At first he didn't think much of it but looking back it was a strange occurrence.

Taking up the bomb he held it in his hand, "I don't feel anything, did I do something wrong.".

He didn't get any response from holding it so he tried something else. He summoned the maestro and repeated the experiment.

At first nothing happened then after 5 minutes he started to feel a weird heat in the middle of his hand. After a while the feeling faded and Allister was left confused. He felt no other changes so he decided to check the interface.

[Energy container: 4%]

He noticed the change and thought that it had something to do with the energy held in the bomb .

He had three more bombs left so he held the three of them in his hand

A few moments later the counter increased to 16%, after seeing this Allister was convinced that his gloves had sapped the energy from the bombs as he could not detonate them as they had no energy.

When he tried draining the energy from other devices like his phone and an outlet but he couldn't get energy from them. He came to the conclusion that he could only get energy from galverite.

Dismissing his gloves he decided to retire for the night draining the energy of other appliances like his phone he received no response so he came to the conclusion that right now he could only get energy from devices that were powered by galverite. After figuring it out Allister was spent for the day so he decided to get some rest.

The next day Allister could be seen standing at the back of the training hall at his school. Instructor Markel had started the combat training with the class and was getting the class warmed up with stretching.

"Ok class we will start with basic weapon training, everyone grab a weapon that suits your style from the wall and go to the training grounds outside."

Allister walked over to the wall with various weapons hung on it and looked through his options. There were long swords, bows, spears, and gauntlets. Allister thought of going for the gauntlets but decided against it as he wanted to expand his arsenal. After looking at various weapons he stopped at a certain long slender curved sword that came from an old earth country named Japan. It was called a tachi and the one on the wall was pretty plain with no ornament on it.

Allister took the long blade off the wall and weighed it in his hand, after unsheathing it he gave it a few swings and chose it as his weapon. Walking to the large training grounds outside he took a glance at the other students' choice of weapon and wasn't surprised to see that most of them went for average longswords and spears.

When everyone was gathered in the training grounds instructor Markel decided that they would do a light sparring session. The match would be based on students challenging each other, the matches started one by one and were pretty uneventful as the students didn't have a lot of skill with their weapons.

After a while a student decided to challenge Allister as he thought it would be an easy fight.

Allister only nodded his head and put his hands in his pocket and summoned the maestro.

When they both reached the center of the training ground Markel gave two minutes before they started sparring.

"I bet that trash won't last a minute."

" Finally someone can put that scum in his place."

" This is going to be fun."

The other students started putting bets on how long Allister would last.

" No hard feelings when I win ok."

Allister's opponent said as he straightened his posture and held his sword out in a mocking gesture. Allister just stood there in a relaxed position and put his hand on the hilt of the tachi.

When the instructor saw that both of them were ready he started the match.

The student dashed towards Allister with his sword trying to stab Allister. Just as he was about to reach him Allister side-stepped and grabbed the hand with the sword and twisted it causing the sword to fall. With his improved physique this was simple, with fluid motion Allister grabbed the student by the face and dragged him into the ground.

"Maybe I used to much force, oh well cant change that now."

The student almost got knocked out from the pain but was in a world of pain. The students and the instructor had their eyes wide open in surprise as this entire fight lasted less than a minute.

" Class should be over by now, right instructor?"

Instructor Markel was lost for words so he only nodded. When Allister walked out the school's entrance he saw a tall man with gray hair wearing a white trench coat standing beside a sleek hover car a few meters away from him. Allister ignored him and turned around to make his way to the train station but felt a cold wind blow past his ears.

" Quite the impressive showing you did back there, it's to be expected from a seasoned hitman."

Allister heard a elderly but firm voice come from beside him and instinctively positioned to jump away but was held in place by a strong hand.

" Why don't you come chat with me over a cup of tea, I have an offer that you might be interested in."

The old man said with a small grin on his face that looked like it held another meaning.
