14 Fighting incident

Amelia and I were eating lunch together, since she wanted to eat together with me. We ate our lunch where i usually eat my lunch, we were discussing topics about last night. She told me that she had only practiced drawing about a year ago, meanwhile I have been polishing my drawing skills for about 4-5 years as of now.

I have showed her all of the sketches that i have made for the last 4-5 years that i have been drawing since i started, she was amazed of the amount of dedication and motivation that i have invested in improving my art. We were talking back and fourth with each other for about 10 minutes, till my friend arrived.

Amelia saw him coming our way, he was surprised to see me alone with a girl. But he did not interrupt our privacy, I introduced him to Amelia. He acknowledge Amelia, and welcomed her. Then, he asked Amelia on what our relationship is, i knew that he wanted to tease us. He said....

"So, are you two dating?"

I already knew he was gonna ask that question, since i did not want any complication. I let Amelia answer his question, without meddling in their conversation. I minded my own business and waited for Amelia to answer him....and i was surprised the answer she gave to him....

"We are dating...well at least i assume that we are dating, am i right Clint?"

She said that with a straightface, while looking at me, she has a good poker face. I looked at both of them, especially Noah. His jaw dropped and was looking at me, he clearly wanted to know if what Amelia said is true. I shook my head in denial, I wanted to say "no, we are not dating" but, Amelia was looking at me dead in the eye.

I was calculating all of the possible responses that will save me from this predicament.....and this was the response that i have given to Amelia's question.

"No, we have only known each other for only a day. So us dating is not possible with thag little amount of time, but i do not know in the future"

I expected for them to agree with what i said, instead the both of them were looking at me like i said something wrong.

"What?"

I asked, then Noah responded....

"So...there is a possibility that you two will date in the near future? Dude, that is like confessing that you thought of the possibility of you two dating"

Amelia nodded when Noah responded with that, i saw Amelia smirking then she said....

"You know i just asked that as a joke right?"

Noah nodded and agreed with her.

"Yeah, that was obvious that she was only joking"

I looked at the both of them, thinking 'when did that happen'....

"What? Then.....why did react like that when she asked me that question"

"I do not know....i was only teasing you with my reaction, to see how you respond to a question like that"

"What?"

I was confused, like how?.....then i saw Amelia staring at me, then she asked....

"So....there is a chance of us dating?"

I sighed when she asked me that....i shrugged my shoulders and did not want to answer her question. Instead i stood up and took off my uniform, it was 12:30, only 30 minutes for me to slightly raise my stats. The both of them were looking at me, i walked for about 6 feet away from them, so that i can exercise.

I stretched my body and started doing bodyweight exercises. I noticed them talking with each other, but i was focused on raising my stats. The reason is, i will go back to the other world tomorrow and i cannot waste time doing other things.

After ten minutes of me doing bodyweight exercises, Noah said that he will go on ahead. I waved him off, before he went to his afternoon class, he said.....

"Don't forget about Amelia bro"

Then he went off to his class. Amelia and i were alone, i stopped doing my exercises and wiped off all of my sweat before sitting beside her. I remember what my gtandfather used to say.....

"Do not take a girl's attention for granted"

I did not want to disappoint my grandfather, that is why i stopped exercising and sat beside Amelia.

"Do you always exercise, Clint?"

She asked curiously, i think the reason why she was curious is because i have ignored her by doing bodyweight exercises, during our first date.

"Hmm....yeah"

I did not know how to respond to her question.

"For how long did you start exercising?"

".....only this week...."

She did not believe me when i said that, i could see it on her face.

"Stop lying, be honest"

"Well....i did not really start exercising this week, what i meant was....i only started taking exercising seriously"

"Oh, i see"

The conversation died that moment, the atmosphere was filled with silence and neither of us was talking. We just looked at the beautiful scene ahead, it was a cloudy day, the cool breeze from the wind made it comfortable to just sit in silence and admire nature.

I looked at the time, it was 12:45. 15 minutes left till class starts, i started packing up my things. Amelia already packed her things, she just watched me as i packed up my things. I looked at her, and asked....

"What's wrong?"

She shooked her head side to side, saying 'nothing'. I stood up and stretched out my body, i took a big breathe and exhaled.

"It is almost time for our class, lets go together"

She agreed, i grabbed my bag and she grabbed her bag. We slowly walked towards the next class, when we arrived. Our classmates were looking at at thw oth of us as we entered the classroom. They were gossiping at each other, i walked towards my desks and waited for the teacher to arrive.

As usual, i did not want to pay attention to the lessons being taught. I was thinking about the other world and the dream i had last night, i looked at my stats.

They have slowly increased, at this rate i will reach lvl 10. I was curious on the guy that had a lvl 9 stats, i looked at his stats again if they were the same. I was shocked, because he had reached lvl 11 in just two days. It was odd, because even though i kept exercising and training and i only leveled up for two levels or so.

I was trying to figure out on why he leveled up faster than me, even though i have a video game system that helps me raise my level. When class have ended, i was packing up my things and Amelia walked up to me and she wanted to walk home together.

All of a sudden, a guy approached us. He slammed his hand on my desk, and was shouting something close to my face. Due to his sudden behavior, it startled Amelia and backed off, creating a distance between the guy and her.

When he shouting at my face, i could see that he wanted a reaction out of me. I stood up and walked right past him. All of my classmates and the random guy's friends did not expect me to do that, then the guy threw a sucker punch at me. He hit the the left cheek bone on my face, it was my first time being hit on the face without gloves.

I stood there fully absorbing the impact of the punch, I thought that it would be painful, but it did not even hurt. I touched my face and had a bothered look on my face, all of the people present inside the classroom was surprised, that i took a full on blow directly on my face.

The guy who punched me was looking at me like he had seen a ghost. But, because of his insecurities he began to shout again at my face. I put on my headphones, so that i could not hear his annoying voice. Due to his shouting, a teacher had walked inside out classroom and was yelling at the guy who shouted.

I walked out the classroom, leaving behind Amelia. I already knew that they will target Amelia, i did not eant her to get involved. When i was walking down the hallway, i felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and instinctively threw a punch, the person on the recieving end blocked my punched and carefully countered with a hook aimed at my head.

"You almost got me"

He said with a raspy and low voice, it was my classamate who had reached lvl 11.

"You have good skills, you want to learn how to fight?"

He said while smiling at me.
