Chapter 16- Queen Of Eternity (Part 1)

"I am not going to give up. Not yet. I will fix this mistake." The boy said as he stood up and wiped the blood that obstructed his eyes before he looked at Reo and Cassia and said.

"Thank you two for saving me. I will never forget this favor. Could I perhaps know your names?"

Reo peeked at Cassia for a second before he replied.

"The name is Raven."

"Cassia."

The boy nodded his head with a weak smile.

"I am Arthur. Nice to meet both of you. Now, if you will excuse me."

After that, he walked away, leaving the two alone in slightly awkward silence. Reo sighed under his breath and sat down to check a dozen notifications that he ignored during the fight. He had no idea what happened after killing almost a dozen Uruvs from different levels.

He made a satisfied nod when he saw that he leveled again quickly. It was actually a smooth sail till now, with no strong opponents, no deadly battles, and no actual potential threats. He knew that this wouldn't necessarily be the case for the rest of the game as more and more strong enemies will face him at some point in time so he didn't let it go through to his head.

'I am also quite close to reaching level 5 and fighting the boss. It might be my first actual fight in Paradise Online.' He thought to himself.

After that, he checked his status to see what kind of changes had occurred there.

Except for the increase in his strength, stamina, and agility, there was also the special points section that appeared. From what he could see, these points are special because he could allocate them however he wanted. He could increase whatever status he saw fit. But, he didn't want to use them now and basically waste their benefits. They could be used as a trump card for when he is in a dire situation.

After closing the status window, he looked at his hand and tightened his fist a few times. At first, he didn't really feel any change in his powers but when he focused even harder, he could feel that he did indeed power up. Reo then stood up and tried to send a straight punch in the air.

It wasn't really the best way of testing his capabilities but it was more than enough for the time being.

*Swish*

His arm moved in a very smooth motion and swept away air with it. The punch was clearly strong even from an audience point of view. But, the boy didn't stop there and sent another punch and then another one after that in quick succession.

Cassia watched him going silently. There was a weird look in her eyes that only she could understand.

"Hah." He made a low grunt as he sent one last punch.

Then, he took a deep breath and muttered.

"This is really amazing! I can really get stronger here. Even my agility and my technique improved." He said with a child-like chuckle.

The amazing sensation of improving overwhelmed him for a good 10 seconds before he threw the matter away and looked at Cassia.

"You said you wanted to hunt, right? Let's go."

Cassia didn't say much and only stood up and followed Reo from behind. Her cold face was back with no trace of her nostalgic look anywhere. What was on her mind? No one will know… Not yet.

Meanwhile, in another whole tutorial server where whole different people were playing the tutorial. An unbelievably beautiful girl that looked like an angel that descended to the mortal realm to bless mortals with her presence.

"These bastards!" Rena muttered with a cold glare as she navigated her way in the vast Plains of Tranquility. Her face was sweating profusely, adding a whole new charm to her skin that was now glowing under the rays of the sun.

Behind her, shadows could be seen running from afar. They were a group of men that targeted her when she first entered the game and had been on her pursuit since then. Their ugly smiles and unbelievably vulgar looks that they didn't hide at all were more than enough signs to tell what they wanted from her. Rena had tried to log out a few times but the only sign that appeared in front of her was…

[You can't log out when in a fight.]

It seemed that the game considered this situation as a fight which made her incapable of logging out at all.

'I have no way of getting rid of them if I don't kill them now.' She thought to herself.

Rena had never killed anyone before so the thought alone sent a shiver down her spine and made her hesitate.

"Wait, bitch. Let's have some fun. Trust me when I say that I can send you to cloud nine with just one single touch."

"As the boss said, we are here for some fun. Let's play a game inside a game." One of them said.

"Damn, her looks around made me lose my mind! We must get her no matter what." A fatty exclaimed as he licked his yellow teeth… What is left of them, at least.

"Leave me alone, you bastards." She shouted as she looked back at them.

However, her cries were pretty much useless. In fact, it somehow made them even more eager to catch her.

As she kept running, she was growing tired slowly. But, the others were also getting tired and their speed decreased a lot in the last few minutes.

Rena thought that she will finally be able to get rid of them after running for so long.

However, her luck didn't seem to be good that day…

*Crack*

Out of nowhere, a loud cracking sound reached her ear. She looked down and much to her surprise, the ground beneath her was starting to crack. There was no obvious reason for why.

*Crack* *Boom*

Then, before she could even change her direction and escape, the ground exploded and she fell down along with the rubble and rocks.

"DAMN IT! Ugh!" She cursed at the top of her lungs.

The steep fall finally ended with her on the ground, buried under many boulders. By some kind of miracle, the only place that got squished out of her body was her legs and her left arm. They were broken beyond recognition but she at least didn't die.

"Come on! Release me!" She muttered as she tried to pull her legs from under the rubble. However, except for the agonizing pain, no attempts worked.

To make it even worse was the fact that the group of men finally reached her.

"Damn, is god really with us here? Very convenient indeed. HAHAHAHAHA!!" The boss thought as he laughed madly.

The others also chuckled and started descending the pit slowly. With each passing second, Rena felt crawling to her heart like an incurable disease.

She felt tears welling up in her eyes. She closed them and looked down as she tightened her fists. In that moment, her mind generated only one thing. An image of her most beloved.

"Reo… Save me." She muttered under her breath like a prayer.
