Mela

I was so shocked when I saw that weird guy at same bar I and Mira were in, all in the name of she wants to take me out because I always isolate myself from others so I needed to go out and have fun.

I couldn't refuse her because she would get hurt so I just had to go. Thirty minutes after we arrived at the bar, I was so bored in that bar that I told Mira I wanted going home but she wanted arguing but I gave her my infamous 'don't even try to convince me' looks and I guess she got the message. All for me to get up from my seat and i saw Mr weirdo on the floor, he looked drunk and definitely needs help.

Before I could react he got up and wanted walking again but then he fell down again, I couldn't help but smile at his behavior when drunk. I had to walk further to help him but Mira wasn't ready leave, I had to drag her but when I reached the place Mr weirdo was I didn't see him, I was thinking maybe some one already picked him up when I was tryna make Mira come with me.

So I made my way to the exit door only for me to see Mr weirdo holding onto the exit door frame for support because he didn't want to fall. I gave him my 'what the hell' looks but I guess he didn't understand.

His green emerald eyes was cold without any emotions, it felt like he didn't have emotions in that eyes of his, in his entire being even. I felt this dark and cold aura emitting from him. I just grabbed his arm and put it around my neck, he was so surprised by my action that I had to assure him I wasn't abducting him, but he demeanor is still same, so I asked for his home address.

All these feels weird and stupid because I didn't fucking know why I was helping this crazy weirdo.

I wonder why but this guy seems to be strangely different, any time I am close to him or around him I get this cold feelings but even though I get this cold feelings from him I couldn't seem to leave him out here.

Honestly I don't know why but I can't leave him out here. If it were on a normal day I would have let him stay here but I couldn't, something in me couldn't let him stay here.

Mira just stood there watching me like a hawk, I nodded towards the weirdo so she could help me, although he might look slim....no his not slim the right word is he's mesomorphic, which leads to him having broad shoulders, narrower hips. His damn heavy and I need my best friend's help so i could put him into the car's back seat, but Mira seems to be busy with whatever she's mumbling under her breathe. She won't do it, I guess I have to do it on my own.

We were all silent, I bet the weirdo is already asleep. I was driving when Mira began speaking.

"Why did you have to fucking pick up a stranger we don't know? Or maybe what if he's a thief or a gangster or some sorta dangerous criminal?" She asked with an enraged look.

"Mira calm down he isn't any stranger I have met him a couple of times and don't worry he seems really drunk he wouldn't be able to harm us because he can't even move a muscle." I said to Mira, trying to convince her.

But she isn't convinced, hells even I am not convinced of what I was tryna convince her about, because I always have this cold feelings around this guy, heavens knows why.

When I reached his building I was so surprised that my mouth is left agape because his building is not just a house it's a freaking mansion, a really big one at that with lots of body guards outside and perhaps inside too. Because since they're much out here they could be much inside too.

"C'mon Mel, you also live inside a mansion." My inner voice said.

"But the mansion I live in is smaller compared to this one."

I turned to look at Mira.

"Do you think someone living in such mansion could be a thief, criminal or a gangster?" I asked her sounding sarcastic.

She turned and gave me a sorry look. Hells I don't even know why I was defending him, I turned to my back to see Mr weirdo sleeping and I woke him up.

"We are at your house." I told him.

I and Mira brought him out of the car and we gave him to one of the guards we met outside, luckily for us he was just coming out.

"We found him outside a bar so we took his address from him and brought him home." I told the guard coldly.

After the last word left my mouth, the guard quickly took Mr weirdo away from us but the guard was so surprised to see him with us but he didn't voice out his amazement. And I guess he wasn't just surprised to see Mr weirdo with us but also the fact that he was drunk.

"Thank you for bringing him back." The guard said coldly.

"It's nothing really, okay have a goodnight." I said and I and Ira left.

The guard is so huge with a broad shoulders. I just left there in silence without a word more, I dragged my best friend with me because she was literally stunned as I was. I know that my so called dad and her dad are rich but this is really extreme and beyond my thoughts.

After entering the car Mira began speaking and as usual, she couldn't control her tongue. But what she said last caught my attention, her last words.

"I would make sure this dude falls in love with me because he's damn cute.....his green emerald eyes are so mesmerizing and his rich as well. Is just like buying a pack of MC Donald and getting one free." She said smiling so much.

I was kinda shock because Mira's behaving as if her dad isn't rich, not just rich but one of the richest men in Los Angeles and she's also really beautiful and cute, she could get any man she wanted. Then why the hell did she have to choose this weirdo.

Anyways that's not really in my place to think about it but then I still spoke.

"But ira how about your so called crush the one you have been head over hills for, would you just leave him like that?" I asked her curious about her answer.

"C'mon mel he doesn't even feel attracted towards me, am not gonna kill myself because of him." Mira said scoffing.

"But-" I wanted saying something when Mira cut me off.

"No ifs and buts Mel, it's his lose not mine and by the way you said you knew this dude and you've seen him couple of times to. So can you tell me his name and where you met him, please mel." She said with a pleading eyes.

"Uhhh.... actually ira the thing is, I sure have seen him a couple of times but I really don't know his name." I said.

"Hahahahahahaha." Mira began laughing

"How's that possible Mel, how could you not know his name, and wait even if you don't, you met him couple of times but it never occurred to you to ask what his name is?" Mira said still laughing.

"I never got the chance to." I said going back down to memory lane, where I met Mr weirdo a couple of times, it's either he's yelling at me or his leaving because I asked why his stalking me.

"Mel! Mel!! Mel!!! Mela!!!!" Ira yelled my name while shaking my arm.

"What is it ira, let's go home please, am tired of your drama and its been so long since I came out and I need to go back and I have lots of novels to read." I told ira and she just huffed.

I know as usual the sleep would be terrifying and horrible so instead of sleeping tonight, I rather read my novels. It's better to go into the land of novels am about to read rather than going into that terrifying dream land where there's nothing but pains and tortures from my so called dad or rather a beast.

As usual I got lost in my thoughts that ira had to press the horn of the car for me to come out of my thoughts.

"Mela what the fuck is wrong with you? You're always deep in thoughts all the time, talk to me babe is there a problem?" Mira said with a voice full of concern.

"There's no problem ira, I was just thinking about mom, grandma and Riddi that's it." I answered her.

"Oh okay you would soon be home in a couple of minutes that's if you start driving now." she said still looking at me in a suspicious way.

She didn't look convinced with my answer but she didn't press further. It really hurts me to keep lying through my teeth to my best friend all the time but I guess that's good for everyone if no one comes to know about it.

I started the car and began driving home, within few minutes I dropped Mira at her place, because she didn't bring her car along with her, we used mine. After dropping her she gave me a peck.

"Goodnight Mel." She said smiling brightly.

"Goodnight Ira." I said waving at her.

Now am all alone in the dark, I hope I don't get so lost in this darkness that am not able to find my way out of this darkness.

I began driving home, when I got home I saw the guards outside. I parked my car in the parking lot and went inside, when I got inside I saw one of the maid and I asked her if grandma had slept, she said no. Only for me to go into grandma's room and I saw she was looking really tensed.

"Hey granny, what's wrong? Did something happen?" I asked her.

"Your sister has been hospitalized because she fell Ill and your mom is in the hospital with her, I hope nothing bad happens to her." Grandma said with a tensed tone.

I had to rush out of the house and I went to the hospital, all for me to see mom in distress and she was so tensed and next to her was her personal bodyguard Samuel.

Then I rushed to her.

"Mom what happened to Riddi?" I asked.

"Riddi's ill, she has nausea and has been vomiting and she also has fever so I had to bring her to the hospital before something happens to her." mom said sounding distressed.

We were still talking when the doctor came out of Riddi's ward and asked us to follow him to his cabin.

When we reached his cabin he told us that we should have a sit.

He then said "Riddi has an appendicitis that needs to be treated."

He told us the treatment and drugs prescriptions.

"I would give Riddi antibiotics and if she doesn't recover she would have to under go a surgery." He said with a stern voice.

"Riddi is too small to under go any surgery at the moment." My inner voice said.

"I know right."

Mom brought me out of my thoughts when she called me and ask us to leave to go get the drugs.

"Mom you should probably go get it with Samuel and I would stay with Riddi." I said to mom.

"Okay I guess you are right." She said while we were leaving the doctor's office.

When I went into the ward, Riddi was asleep, she was sleeping so soundlessly, it seems like they gave her some sorta sleeping pills or injections, I feel scared for her.

After 45 minutes mom came back with the drugs, when she came back I decided to leave the hospital. I told mom I would be back in the morning. I couldn't stand there and watch her so worried and I am not able to do anything to get rid of her worries.

I went back home to grandma I needed to give her updates about everything that happened.

When I got home grandma was already asleep on the couch, and she looked quite exhausted because she stressed her self about Riddi and thank the good Lord in heavens that grandma is sleeping. I had started to think how am I going to start explaining things to her.

I didn't have any strength left for any conversation and I needed to go rest a little. I didn't wake grandma up, I told one of the maids to do that when I was already in my room, I just snick into my room like a thief all because I didn't want grandma to wake up when she hears my foot steps.

After reaching my room I went to take a bath and change into my PJs then i would take a book and read. But deep down in my heart I was hoping nothing happens to my younger sister. Yeah I know I have not been the best sister but nevertheless I still loved her.

Still reading by 3am and I am starting to have a headache which is indicating I have been stressing myself and i was overthinking and then to top it all my stomach is grumbling so loud that I could literally hear it. And all the maids are asleep, I would have to go make something for myself and I have no specific choice of food I want to make it is either I should make pan cakes or maybe wheat noodles or perhaps sweet potato which ever way when I get to the kitchen I'll decide that, but firstly I need to leave my room in other to go make it.

I left my room and went to the kitchen to make what I would eat that was when I decided to make pan cakes because it's faster within 15 minutes I was done with my pan cakes.

I was trying to put my chocolate syrup when I heard some movements from the living room, I wasn't sure who it is because there are lots of guards and maids at home so I didn't know but, I knew for sure I heard some movements.

I left my pan cakes to go check who it is only for me to see one of the guards Arnoldo Fernandez, kept in the building.

The guard saw me he was a little bit surprised I guess because he or they have never seen me outside this late by 3:30 am and I was in the kitchen making something to eat.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Am sorry ma'am I heard some noise from inside when I was outside so I came to check who it is. But then I saw you." He replied to me.

"What's your name?"

"My name is Dino ma'am." He said.

"Nice name DINO. Okay then go back to your post Dino." I said to him.

Before I knew it he was out of my sight, anyways let me go eat my pan cakes, so I could take some pills for my head ache.

On my way to my room with my pan cakes when I saw grandma coming out of her room, I bet she wanna ask about Mom and Riddi.

Oh hells grandma why now I ain't in any mood for explanation.

"I bet you would be, when she sets her eyes on you." My inner voice said.

"You just fucking shut up." I yelled at the voice, frustratedly.

"Hey grandma why are you up this late." I said pretending as if i don't know why she's up.

"Mela how's your sister and mom, and why did you sister fall sick all of a sudden? Did you meet the doctor?" Grandma asked in one breathe.

"Oh, grandma catch your breath, I would tell you everything." I told grandma because she seemed to be breathless.

"Okay firstly, Riddi and mom are both fine. Secondly, the doctor told I and mom that she has appendicitis and thirdly, grandma you don't need to worry at all Riddi would be fine and mom is there to take care of her so, don't worry." I told grandma.

"Okay grandma since we are done with the enquiries you need to go sleep now it's late and don't over think riddi would be fine bye grandma." I told grandma before she could say another word I stormed to my room. It's quite hard to keep behaving so calm in front of grandma and everyone, if it was another person who asked me, I would have ghosted them. Oh heavens my head feels like it's going to burst open.

Thank goodness I hid my pan cakes well grandma didn't see it, if not she would have started scolding me for eating this late. Actually I had forgot to eat which is why all these occurred. Anyways is not as if I care what time I eat. I began eating my pan cakes, when I was done I took my pills and resumed my reading I read for about 2hours I then I fell asleep when I woke up it was 7am.

All because of my beast of a father i can't sleep at night I only sleep when the sun is starting to rise and I didn't even get enough sleep, I slept for just an hour.

Ughhh.

Mira interrupted my thoughts by entering my room so early in the morning.

"Mela, good morning." she yelled happily.

"Morning ira how comes you're here so early today, you're good?" I asked her.

"Yes Mel, am fine." she said.

"Okay then let me go bath, I will be back." I told her.

"Okay Mel."

After I was done I started dressing when ira asked where I'm going to, I told her I'm going to the hospital.

"What happened Mel are you okay? Whose in the hospital?" She asked panicking.

"Wait you didn't meet grandma right?" I asked her, knowing fully well if she did then she would have known Riddi has been hospitalized.

"Yes I didn't but how's that related to what we're saying?" She asked me.

"Well when ever you come home, you do meet grandma first, anyways mom is in the hospital because Riddi's sick." I told her.

Her mouth was left hanging when I was telling her everything that had happened.

"Wait Mel you're trying to tell me a baby of 6 months has appendicitis? How the fuck is that possible, I mean she's just a baby." Mira said stunned by the situation.

"Yeah ira that's what the doctor said to me and mom. Anyways, wanna tag along?"

She gave me an 'are you serious' looks.

"Of course Mel, I'm gonna come along, Riddi is like my sister. No not like my sister, she's indeed my sister." She said sounding pissed off by my question.

"Okay then go meet grandma let me quickly dress up and take my bag and books." I told her. And with that she left.

When I was done dressing I left my room to go get Mira so we could quickly leave, because I got a class today. I just so wished I could quit schooling.

"You've always been crazy but I didn't know you were also stupid." My inner voice said sounding sarcastic. I didn't even respond to the voice.

When I got to the living room i saw grandma talking to Mira.

"Hey Ira let's leave." I said to her.

Before leaving I went to meet grandma to say a good morning to her.

"Hey grandma good morning, I'm going to meet mom at the hospital, would you give me something to give her?" I asked her, while I gave my bag and books to a maid to take it to my car.

"No mela I don't have anything to give her but tell her your dad is going to come back today because I told him Riddi's sick."

Immediately grandma said those words, I felt like my heart sank and I suddenly wasn't able to breath properly, I became suffocated.
