ERALD'S POV

After I said those words I left dad's cabin and asked Josh to follow me.

"Josh I want you and some other guards to monitor Lukas building and also make sure you get to know who meets Lukas everyday either at his building, his company or anywhere else." I told Josh with a straight voice.

"And yes make sure the children are also being monitored, closely." I added.

"Yes young boss." Josh replied.

"Young boss, I forgot to tell you that Grath Lukas Santiago is not into ladies but he is into men."

"Oh really he's into men that nice I guess, I know someone who could manage that." I said to Josh giving him a smirk.

"Okay young boss but uhm- uhh."

"Why the fuck are you stammering josh say what you want to say quickly I have other things to take care of." I said to him feeling pissed off with this behavior of his.

"Well young boss I just wanted asking why you didn't come with your best friend Jake today?" Josh asked me looking at every where apart from me, if he could look at himself up in the mirror he did see how he was blushing so hard that his cheeks and ears are both glowing with bright red because of his excessive blushing.

"Oh well, josh why aren't you looking at me? Is something wrong? Is something going on between you both that you're keeping a secret?" I asked teasing josh and making him blush harder.

"Jake is ...." I was still talking when I heard Jake.

"Jake is what, what happened?" Jake said.

Immediately josh heard Jake's voice he raised his head and got smiling towards Jake's direction and Jake's also smiling at him.

Like what the fuck is going on between my best friend and my dad's personal assistant. Which none of them cared to tell me, at least I wasn't expecting josh to tell me but Jake his my best friend.

"Oh you both stop with the staring and all I'm still present here. And Jake tell me something what brings you here, I thought you had a class today?" I said with my usual deep voice.

"I didn't go, the class got cancelled." he said.

"Okay then."

"Josh stop staring at Jake like some love struck fucking idiot and go do what I said. I need report every three hours and yes Lukas wife, Roseline Diego make sure she is also monitored closely because we might need her."

"Now get going, move." I commanded, and with that he left, I turned over to Jake and stared at him in the eyes, with my left eyebrow raised up.

"There's nothing going on between I and Josh." Jake said in a defensive voice.

"Oh really, then what's with the staring and blushing?" I asked him, with a crease between my eyebrows.

I could notice Jake isn't making eye contact with me anymore.

"No you're completely wrong Erald there's nothing like that." Jake said in a defensive way yet again.

"Okay if you say so." I said letting it slide, by the way it's not even my business.

Right now I need to start the mission dad gave to me, just how the hell, did Lukas Santiago or whatever his name is thinks he could end the Balencentra's just like that, he just digged his grave and he should be ready to get buried into it.

MELA'S POV

Ira noticed how I was feeling so she took me out to calm me but no matter how she tried it just wasn't enough because after many months that I haven't seen that monstrous beast, I was at peace but now he's going to come back, and ruin my peace.

I had to steady my breathe so my heart beat could stay in control, right now my mom needs me but I can't let I and that man cross paths because it might go bizarre.

Just like always I had to put on my mask of being okay.

"That because we actually don't have a choice but to." My inner voice said sounding sad.

"Yeah, and that's the issue." I replied.

"C'mon Mira let's get going, mom might be waiting for me I can't keep her waiting any longer." I said to Mira, after putting on my mask.

"Okay Mel she said still looking worried and concerned, are you sure you're okay because some minutes ago you were breathless and no-" she said. But before she could complete her words I stopped her.

"Am okay Ira, don't worry." I told her trying to convince not only her but also my self because honestly I doubt am going to be fine when I set my eyes on that man called my dad.

Avoiding eye contact with grandma, I jolted into my car to began my journey to the hospital. Because I didn't have any strength to answer any questions of hers. I have been trying to avoid this question for the past twelve years and that is how I would continue because I don't have the courage to let the world know the kind of monster my so called reputed father is. It would completely break mom and grandma, she might lose her life due to the shock.

"Mel, what are you thinking again start the car let's get going." Ira said bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah sorry, let's go." I said.

"Okay, but wait let me get my school stuffs from my car." Ira said coming out my the car to go over to hers.

In less than 15 minutes I got to the hospital, I left Ira outside because she's making a call. And promptly after I parked the car I nwent into Riddi's ward. And when I entered Riddi is asleep and mom is sitting, it seemed she didn't sleep throughout the night because she has dark circles under her eyes which indicates she didn't sleep last night.

"Mom, how are you? You didn't get enough sleep last night did you? Look how you have dark circles under your eyes mom, you look like a ghost." I said with a worried tone but gave a nervous smile at the latter.

"C'mon Mel, don't worry I would be fine okay! Since you're here now I would go home to freshen up." She said laughing a bit.

"Did your grandma send anything for me?" Mom asked me.

I don't even know what to say to mom, thankfully Ira chirped in.

"Let me also have a moment with Aunt." Ira said jokingly as she walked in.

"Aunt, good morning my beloved aunt, oh hells aunt you look like a ghost haunting for a prey to feast on." Mira said laughing.

"Mira keep quiet, Riddi is sleeping don't shout." Mom said in a playful tone, and after few seconds, she also joined Mira in laughing.

"I am sorry aunt, I didn't know something had happened to Riddi, it's Mel that told me this morning so, I came to the hospital to check up on her. How is she now?" Mira said without a single breath.

"My baby hold your horses, calm down, it's okay, I get why you didn't come it was already really late and your baby sister is fine don't worry okay?" Mom said to her with a smile.

"Okay aunt." Ira answered mom smiling.

I just stood there thinking about the reply I would give to mom when she is done with Ira, an she realized I haven't answered her yet, I would have to answer her, so right now I need to search for words.

"Just fucking tell her what grandma said, after all you're just going to tell her." My inner voice spoke.

"But it disgusts me to even talk about that man." I replied back to the voice.

"Mela you haven't answered me." Mom said staring at me making me jolt out of my thoughts.

Oh hells, Just as I thought she already figure out I didn't answer her question.

"Of course, what the fuck were you expecting." My inner voice spoke.

"Well mom, grandma didn't give me anything to give to you." I said, trying to hide back the remaining words.

By the way I mustn't even say it. Mom asked if there's anything grandma gave for her, which there isn't, only for the words grandma gave me to convey.

"But she said uncle is coming back today because of Riddi's illness." Mira added.

Holy fuck why did Mira have to say that, after all mom didn't ask if grandma gave any information for me to give to her. Well since she has said it then there is nothing I could do about it. But I bet mom would ask me, now I'm already trapped here.

"Uhh...mom I need to make I call." I shouted and ran out even before mom could answer me.

What a relief.

I was going to my car to sit when I mistakenly bumped into someone.

"Oh am so sorry. I was just a little distracted." I said to the person as I raised my head.

"How the fuck could you be distracted?" The girl with a black eyes, slender body with a wavy brown hair and a glowing skin yelled at me.

"I said am sorry." I told her again, with my eyes wide open threatening her with it.

"Whatever." She said and walked away hurriedly swaying her hips.

What sorta bitch is this girl, huh?

"A bitch just like uhhh... the girl at school, with the big butt, I think her name is Louisa." My inner voice said.

I didn't reply to the voice, I got walking to my car only for me to see one of that weirdo's guard at the hospital parking lot looking for some one it seems.

I didn't say a word, I just opened my car door and sat in the car to calm my self for some minutes before going out of the car.

I sat down for about 5 minutes, before I came down and I headed to the hospital entrance door.

As I headed to the hospital entrance, when I got to the door I was pushed onto the floor.

"How dare you." I said looking up to see the asshole that pushed me to the floor and my eyes met with that weirdo's guard looking at me like he was gonna beat me up for entering his way. Meanwhile he was the one that bumped into me.

"You fucking piss of shit." I said annoyed, that he pushed me onto the floor. I got up and began dusting my butt.

"Weren't you watching where you're headed to, this door is huge yet you couldn't see me going in huh?" I said still paranoid, like why the fuck do I have to have a bad day today, just why?

But instead of replying he left.

"Fucking asshole, just like his fucking boss or whoever he is to him." My inner voice snarled.

I agree.

I walked back to Riddi's ward and I saw mom sitting beside Riddi.

"Hey mom." I said.

"Mela, where have you been, I checked outside the hospital for you but you were no where to be found." Mom said to me slightly worried.

"I was in my car, where's Mira?

Did she go home without me?" I said pretending to be upset to change the topic.

"No Mela, she's in the washroom." Mom said.

"Oh okay, Mira come out we need to go to school." I said shouting.

"You who doesn't like going to school wants to go to school today? Wow, just wow."

"Yeah, I just wanna leave here, I don't wanna stay here any longer." I replied to my inner voice.

"Mela, have you forgotten we are at the hospital and your sister is laying here sleeping." Mom said, scolding me.

"Do you want her to get up?"

"Sorry mom I forgot."

"Here I am Mel let's get going." Mira said from behind me.

"Bye aunt" she said coming close to mom to give her a peck.

"Sorry mom, I have a class to attend, you could call some of the maids to stay with her before you get back." I said to mom lying through my teeth, it hurts that I can't stay with my sister whom I do love, but I just can't stay here, just what if I still I'm here and then that man comes over here?

The thought of this shakes me to the core.

"I know right Mel, but it's okay."

"It's okay Mela, I understand. Now go before you miss your class." Mom said.

"Bye mom take care." I said before leaving with Ira by my side.

"Ira what time is your class ending because I wanna follow you to come spend some days with you at your place." I said to her as I drove us to school.

"Mela why do you wanna go to my place? Anyways it's okay am getting off class by 4 to 4:30."

"Okay then, I would come pick you up." I said with excitement laced in my voice.

"What about my car at the Fernandez mansion?" She asked.

"I will have grandma send it over to your place." I replied.

"Are you not having class?" She asked again.

"I do Ira, that's where am going, and please Ira don't bother me with another guy's story because he broke your heart or you saw some one you are crushing on, because if you do I would leave your place even if it's in the middle of the night." I said to her while laughing.

"My introverted bitch, I already found the one who got my heart." She said giving me a toothy smile.

"Mel that dude we dropped off the other day, is he schooling at our school too?" She asked.

"Oh yeah, he's schooling there, he's actually my classmate but though I don't know if he is coming to school today." I said knowing what was coming afterwards.

"If you meet him today ask him about his name please." Mira said with a pleading eyes.

I knew this was definitely coming.

"No Ira I'm not doing that."

"Why?" She asked with a strained tone.

"Because he's arrogant and annoying."

"Mel, please!" She pleaded with a puppy eyes, just how can I decline it.

"That's her charm." My inner voice said.

"It definitely is."

"Okay mira if I do see him I'll ask." I said to her, parking the car at the parking lot.

"Thank you, bye then." She said coming off from the car as she took her bag.

"Bye ira." I replied.

I got walking to my class with my usual expressionless face and I kept on passing people who keeps staring at me but it's not as if I care anyways.

I got to the door only for me to meet that the prof is already inside the class. I can't enter because, I ain't ready to answer the reason why I came late, so I just passed by like it isn't my class. And then I noticed Chris the loudest in my class is sitting almost close to the window seat, I just hope he doesn't see me and inform the professor then she would call out to me to get back to the class.

I walked slowly tip toeing, and I passed by the class.

"That was a close one." My inner voice said sighing.

"Yeah I know right." I replied.

Thankfully I passed like a ghost to the school library and I went there to read for time pass, at least even though I didn't get into the class I would have something doing till Mira is done. After I picked a book to read, I got interrupted.

"Hey Mela." I heard someone called out to me from my back and I got wondering who it could be.

"Could it be that Mr weirdo?" My inner voice asked.

"Does this voice sounds like that weirdo's? The weirdo's voice is deep."

I decided to turn and check and I met a black guy, with a brown Iris, he looks like his 5'9 ft. I guess he is africa-america. Because his accent is that of American's.

"Hi, can I help you?" I said flipping through the book pages.

"Uhmm......not really I just wanted to befriend you and that's all. My name is Zylith Williams, I'm actually new here and I don't have any friends hence I thought of making friends with you first. I hope am welcomed." He said with a nervous kinda smirk.

"No I can't be friends with you, I already have a friend and that's enough for me." I said not even looking at him.

I don't know why but something doesn't feel right with him so hence I declined the friendship offer.

"Why?" he asked, curious.

"Are you deaf? I said I already have a friend and that friend is enough for me, now don't even dare follow me, or else you'll get your ass kicked." I snarled threatening him whilst getting up from my seat as I clenched my fist.

He stood there staring at my back as I walked away, he's staring at me with his eyes like he's going to murder me for refusing to accept his friendship offer, well is not as if I care.

I checked my phone and saw it's already 4pm, let me go check Mira's class if she's done. I got up from the garden that's close to my classroom, packing my bag and the books, to walk pass my classroom balcony, going through my phone to check if Ira called, all for me to bumped into someone, and my whole stuffs fell on the floor

Hells why do I keep bumping into people today.

"What the fuck was that? Weren't you looking at where you were headed to?" I said almost yelling only for me to pick up my bag and books from the floor and then looked up and met same green emerald eyes, Mr weirdo looking right through me.

Hells did I have to come in contact with him, couldn't it be any other person in this entire school.

"Weirdo, weren't you watching where you were going." I asked him half yelling. Thinking he would leave as usual.

"I was busy on my phone and I didn't see you coming." He said without any emotions in him.

First time he's speaking to me without him yelling or being that angry going man, his voice sounds so calm and suiting to the ear although it sounds deep as usual.

"Thank you for getting me home the other day." He said with his deep voice whilst same expression as earlier.

Whattttttt did he just thank me!!!!

"What the fuck, did he just say thank you?" My inner voice screamed in shock which I also am.
