Hospital

"Lay down." I rushed to him. I put a pillow under his head and he slowly gave me the towel. I smiled and grabbed it.

"I'm sure you'll be fine." I gave him a soft smile as I assured him.

I got the first ad kit and cleaned his bloody face.

"How did you get hurt?" I asked but he didn't respond. His eyes were shut but he was shivering. I got my blanket and covered him up. It was pitch black and I wish the electricity would come back.

I put a bandaid under his eye and another on his forehead. I just sighed and waited. The electricity didn't come back apparently a tree fell over the wiring. So, we would have to wait until they came to fix the problem. Which we weren't the only ones without power I think it was the whole city. I fell asleep on the small couch next to him and let me tell you. My neck was very sore and it hurt very bad the next morning.

I went next door and they had phones but no service.

"Sorry, honey. Be careful if you go in person. I heard there's a tree in the short cut to the hospital." My elderly neighbor informed me.

"Thanks again. Let me know if you need something." I kindly said before going back to my house.

"He was still asleep fighting that fever he had all night long. It went down but there's not much I can do. Especially, if I don't know what happened to him." I thought as I just stared at him. The sun was out and bright like nothing happened. I took this opportunity to get a good look at him before he woke up.

I heard the sirens of police car. I quickly went outside and waved my hands at them.

"There fixing the electricity as fast as they can." The police officer informed me.

"Oh no that's not what I was waving at you. I have a problem."

"What a robber?" He asked very concerned.

"No, a guy was laying out here last night. I had to bring him and he's on my couch with a high fever. I don't have a phone."

"Okay let's bring him in." He said as he parked the car to come with me. We went in together and he was still on the couch.

"Sir?" He asked.

"He hasn't been responding..." I said getting really worried. "Did I do the right thing? I should have took him to the hospital..." I told the officer.

"It's okay you did the right thing. He's not dead so that's really good. Let's bring him to the hospital and then I'll get his information to check on our system. Someone may be looking for him. There's a lot of missing people right now cause of this awful storm." He informed me and then tried to wake up the guy. He opened his eyes but he couldn't keep them open.

"He's really weak. Don't worry he'll be up and running soon." The officer said trying to calm me down. "I hope I'm not responsible for his death." I thought.

We got him in the back of the police car and I sat with him. As he drove to the hospital I saw how bad it got. Houses roof were gone, trees torn down, flooded roads, streets were a mess and people out in the street crying.

"What's his name?" A nurse quickly asked as they took him.

"I don't know I just found him." I grew anxious as I should have asked him before anything.

"I'll take care of that later." The officer explained to the nurse as she left to go help out with him.

"I'll be back. I'm going to go find out if he's a missing person. Don't want to keep his family waiting." He said before leaving.

"Hi can I use your phone?" I asked a nurse.

She nodded.

"Hi, yes this is doctor Feli calling. I don't think I can make it to work today. This storm really was just a disaster." I said through the phone.

The nurse just furrowed her eyebrows in confusion because I was at work. However, I wasn't here because of that. I was here with that guy that I think I saved.

Maybe 30 minutes went by and the officer came back.

"His name is Min Yoongi and he isn't a missing person. It seems like he's a  homeless person." He informed me.

"So... What do I do with him?" I asked very confused.

"Well, you can take care of him or throw him out." He said tilting his head to hear his walkie talkie better.

"What?!" I couldn't believe my ears.

"Doctor Feli." The nurse came from behind.

"Well sounds like doctor Feli can take care of 10 homeless people." The officer said before turning around to leave.

My mouth dropped. "Wait! Shouldn't you be investigating why he was on the floor?"

"He doesn't speak. He needs treatment. I really have to go." He said before leaving.

"The patient is getting treated for the high fever but can leave once it goes down. We'll just need you to sign the papers." She informed me.

"Wait. Why doesn't he speak?" I asked very confused.

"Miss your the doctor. You'll probably have to give him therapy in your office." She said before leaving.

I just sighed and closed my eyes.

I thought I would just help him reunite with his family. Now, I'm his family? Ugh...
