Running a hand down her face, Isidora huffs. "Well, if you think you're here to help us, you should see Mayor Dunn. She's been making plans already."

Min moves to your side. "That's right, the princess mentioned a new mayor! Mayor Thorley was still in office when I visited a few months ago. Has she retired?"

Isidora gives them a sweeping gaze. She recognizes them from their last visit, you think, but she must be evaluating if you're likely to be traveling with demons when you aren't one yourself. Apparently she judges that you aren't, though the way she sighs suggests it's against her better judgment. "Mayor Thorley died just over a month ago. Her assistant's taken over, for the moment, at least. Her name's Adrastea Dunn."

Min's gaze suddenly sharpens, but then they school their expression into something calmer. "Ah, yes, I heard her name when I visited. She wouldn't see me for an interview, though. Mayor Thorley told me she was ill. Quite unfortunate—I always welcome more perspectives."

Isidora grunts briefly, which you take as an expression of disinterest in Min's songwriting career. "I have to check our border patrols. You shouldn't have been able to enter without speaking to them. Someone's been slacking. Or overawed by your fancy royal carriage, more likely. Go inside and tell Sophia I sent you." Without a backward glance, Isidora departs.
