Chapter 8: All Things as One

"Is this supposed to have some sort of importance or what?"

Yuuto directed his gaze at his hands still stuck to Lala's breast, sighing as he spoke.

Lala gave Yuuto an innocent look upon hearing his words and she smiled mischievously before saying.

"With this we are engaged!"

"That easy?"

"Hai!"

Yuuto stared at Lala with deadpan eyes before letting out an audible sigh as he said.

"I feel like I'm being scammed"

To his words, Lala smiled, letting go of his hands before jumping towards him and giving him a big hug.

"Don't worry! I promise to make you happy!"

She always had a spontaneous personality, and now Yuuto felt like Lala was more of an anime character coming to life than an actual woman with the way she acted.

'Illogical and spontaneous… two of the things which are interesting with anime'

Yuuto loved anime and fiction because it was not realistic, to him reality was just too draining and dealing with real women is harder.

As a man, he could easily deal with other men since he knew how to treat them, not all, but most men follow societal norms and that also goes with women.

But it is a fact that societal norms for the opposite gender is not easily understood by the other. Especially in a world that has nearly a hundred genders and confused individuals.

Societal norms become muddled and Yuuto, who struggled with just two genders ultimately gave up on dealing with the rest.

He knows that he was being a bit hypocritical as the delusion of his previous life caused people to act with great illogical and spontaneous but…

'I just hope this anime world does not cause as much problems as my previous world when illogical and spontaneous things happen'

Yuuto knew that this anime world was his reality but-

'Even I have times where I just want to live a relaxed life'

Yuuto had a lot of things he hated but at the same time he still held hope. His mind always prevented him from doing certain things but he was still moving forward.

With a tired expression on his face, Yuuto asked Lala who was rubbing her face against his chest-

"And how do you plan to do that?"

To this Lala simply gave him a smile which made Yuuto understand one thing-

'Yeah she's has no idea'

Yuuto could only roll his eyes at Lala who was basically running on instinct, despite being one of the smartest minds in the entire universe, she still ends up making quite… interesting decisions.

"Well… how about we get out of here first?"

With his handle of mysteries, Yuuto felt the disturbance in the force… 

Well, it's more like a disruption in his many bounded fields, undetectable bounded fields that simply detect intentions. Any negative emotions directed Yuuto's way will trigger a chain reaction that would send a warning to him.

Normally bounded fields are used sparingly as it uses quite a bit of power to magical energy from ley lines or the surroundings.

But unlike the mages of the Nasuverse, Yuuto did not need to create safe havens all over, he simply created an intricate net that detects the movement of targets hostile to him.

A complex spell, using numerology and a bit of magic from Prelati's spellbook that allowed Yuuto to create an artificial spirit that functioned as a second brain for him.

This artificial spirit acted as a computer that received all the inputs from the bounded fields he had spread all over the world. Depending on the information he needed he could identify whether a hostile individual was heading for him or not.

[A/N: TLDR, MC has a magical radar system that detects any and all entities with negative intentions towards him.]

Moreover, due to the influx of information being directed towards the artificial spirit, Yuuto did not worry about his mind overloading with information.

In fact, the artificial spirit had greater processing ability compared to him which was a huge plus to Yuuto.

Though the important thing is that this system was currently showing him a huge red dot heading towards his direction.

'The good thing is that I could detect entities heading towards me with negative intentions, the bad thing is that it has an altitude limit…'

Yuuto had created the system to detect any entities up to the lower atmosphere.

This range was enough so that all the bounded fields he created could function semi-permanently without actually interfering with others or using up too much magical energy.

Though the bounded fields did limit Yuuto a bit-

'Right now I can't fight with too much magic or the nearby bounded fields would collapse'

The bounded fields were not created to isolate spaces but simply as a boundary for detection, this makes them very fragile.

Yuuto could fight in and around them but if he uses spells that are too powerful, the residual magic could break the bounded fields by accident.

Fortunately, Yuuto had developed a certain fighting style that allowed him to empower himself with magic instead of unleashing magic or magecraft on the surroundings.

But this fighting style necessitated a more- physical battle.

'Though I could also use mental attacks… no, Zastin will be a good comrade to have in the future…'

Taking all things into consideration, Yuuto payed for his and Lala's meal before dragging the alien princess out.

Lala followed him and smiled as he held her hand [A/N: KYAAA~~☆*:.｡.o(≧▽≦)o.｡.:*☆], the two rushed through the streets and Yuuto noticed the red dot, which was most likely Zastin also picking up his pace.

Unseen to Lala and others, Yuuto's golden eyes suddenly turned blue at this moment, electronic nearly cybernetic lines were rapidly moving through his irises as his pupils turned flashed with a golden light-

'Good… if I move through this alley and-'

Yuuto then began to move through Alleyways until he finally crossed paths with a pair of policemen-

'Jackpot'

Using his bounded field radar, Yuuto had determined the location of police forces and calculated a path that would lead Zastin to encounter the pair of policemen on patrol.

How he was able to model this using only intentions was something beyond even the author.

It used a complex algorithm that was processed by artificial spirit that used knowledge accumulated over the years to identify how the intent of individuals acted normally.

It was not 100% accurate, but it was somewhere around 80% accurate with its predictions.

Fortunately the prediction this time was a hit.

After crossing paths with the police officers, Yuuto just continued to lead Lala on until he reached the river that ran through the city.

Reaching the river, Yuuto found a spot to sit and he just sat there waiting for something. Lala walked to him and sat next to Yuuto as she then asked-

"Why are we here?"

Yuuto just gave her a calm look as he replied-

"You know why"

Lala did not answer and just smiled as she snuggled up to Yuuto with a smile on her face.

'Getting played and used by a woman…'

Yuuto stared at Lala who was innocently leaning on his shoulder as he thought to himself-

"Sometimes, its not so bad…"

Yuuto thought about his fear and inhibitions related to relationships.

Why did he fear getting into relationships?

Why did he not want to get close to women?

What was he running away from?

Now that he thought more about it, he found that he was simply running away from trouble.

He made use of the horror stories told about men losing everything as a basis to create this image of women as nothing more than users.

Yuuto placed himself in the place of men with everything to lose.

He saw all women as below him and that they were just after whatever he had-

'But now…'

Yuuto thought about it, Lala she-

'Did not need anything from me…'

In a way, Yuuto was nothing more than a muscular frog at the bottom of a well while Lala was a literal baby dragon.

Her father could send a single space ship to obliterate earth and here he was lashing out at her for trying to "use" him.

When he thought of things in such a perspective… Yuuto soon realized that his thoughts had suddenly become something familiar. It was similar to something he did not wish to admit but in the end his self-correction ability once again kicked in whispering in his subconscious-

'I have become that which I hate the most'

He always cursed at people who believed the world revolved around them.

He despised people who live their life thinking that all that is important is their own well being.

He found everyone who moved solely with their unfounded pride as idiots and yet here he was, cursing at an intergalactic princess for thinking she could use him like a tool when he himself…

'Used others like they were tools…'

Yuuto clenched his free hand silently as he came to this realization-

'The past 24 hours were really eye opening…'

The experiences Yuuto had gone through proved just how wise Socrates was and yet that same wiseman said-

'I know that I know nothing'

When Yuuto began seeing himself as the center of the world, that was the moment he showed just how childish he was but now… as he came to his own reflections-

"FINALLY! I FOUND YOU!!!"

A voice interrupted his thoughts as a man dressed in-

"Cosplay?"

Yuuto said feigning ignorance as he looked at Zastin, he found that the grand devilukean warrior was tired and gasping for air but another important note he took in was-

'No sword'

From what he could recall, Zastin was a powerful warrior but an even more powerful swordsman.

Seeing that the man did not have his trusty sword with him, Yuuto understood that his act of leading the poor alien towards two policemen was the right call.

Moreover, since he did not find the two policemen unconscious through his radar, he could tell that Zastin did not attack them.

'I bet on my memories of his chivalry and used that against him, I wanted them to take him in but I guess taking his sword is as good as it can get-'

Yuuto thought as he visualized how to quickly defeat Zastin and make him accept his and Lala's engagement.

'Well… with the way things are, it would be better to just go with the flow, its not like Lala will leave Earth with how attached she got to me.'

Yuuto may have had a mistaken ideology but he was not numb to emotions. He understood why Lala looked for him and could take a hint.

With that, accepting Lala and proving his worth was ten times easier than continuously rejecting her.

Moreover, the Gate of Babylon would help a lot with his future troubles…

"BASTARD! LET GO OF LALA-SAMA THIS INSTANT!!!"

Zastin declared as he pointed at Yuuto but the young man replied with a dumb look on his face saying-

"Uhm… I'm not holding her though?"

Yuuto said as he pointed at Lala clinging to him.

Zastin paused and did not know how to answer, he made a confused expression which almost made Yuuto laugh but he held it in as he waited for the response of Deviluke's greatest swordsman.

While Yuuto was holding in his own laughter, Zastin's mind was spinning rapidly.

Last night, he had received his two subordinates who were both still under treatment.

He also viewed the footage of the battle and saw how his two trusted subordinates lost.

At first he believed Lala was brainwashed just like how his subordinates were affected by a mental attack.

But-

The footage clearly showed Yuuto pushing Lala away and telling her to leave.

With all the information he had, Zastin could only conclude that-

'Lala-sama is truly in love with him!'

Zastin was no idiot, he knew that Lala would not be taken down easily and even brainwashing was difficult to cast on her.

Not to mention, there were plenty of special tools used to detect Lala's current state.

Based on those tools, he knew that Lala was not under any hypnosis or mental attack.

BUT! This still did not stop him from acting!

'Even if Lala-sama truly loves him…!'

Zastin did not want to do it, but as he wanted to help his lord, Zastin decided to be the villain.

With great determination he raised his head and pointed at the young man Lala was clinging to declaring-

"Fight me Earthling! If you can best me, I will accept this engagement between you and Lala!"

Zastin had many ways to monitor Lala and saw how she pulled Yuuto's hands towards her own breast. She clearly forced him to propose but that did not matter as they both accepted things.

Now, he had to see if the young man had the strength to face Lala's father-

"Fight me without using your weird brainwashing abilities!"

Zastin declared, believing that no matter how powerful the young man was, he had to have a will strong enough to face anything if he wanted to face Lala's father and declare himself her fiance.

Yuuto, upon hearing Zastin's declaring smiled.

"Lala let go of me"

He told Lala who followed his words and after he lost the feeling of Lala clinging onto him, Yuuto quickly used his secret technique-

'Artificial Spirit connection- Engage'

'Bounded Field creation - Complete'

'Reality Marble - Engage'

'Initiate Instant Kill Procedure'

In an instant, Yuuto was covered with layers of bounded fields which were all held together by a reality marble.

Unlike 'Unlimited Blade Works' and other Bounded fields and reality marbles that spread through an area, Yuuto's was limited to his own body.

Specific isolation, imaginary connection, all of these made possible using his reality marble and-

'Avalon limited release activate'

Yuuto basically split his body into multiple different isolation barriers. 

He separates all his magic circuits, muscles, nerves… everything was isolated from each other allowing them to be empowered independently without causing major damage to other parts of his body or the surroundings.

In a way, Yuuto was basically splitting his body at this moment but-

'All things as one-'

Kabbalistic theory in practice, Yuuto created a reality marble that embodied the essence of the Kabbalistic system of mystery.

All things as One, a reality marble that connected all things no matter how disjointed into one.

It was a reality marble that returned everything to its original form, a reality marble that was both overpowered and useless depending on how deep ones understanding is of the phrase, "All things as one".

For Yuuto, it allowed him to connect his disjointed body back to one while still remaining disjointed.

Through this he was able to channel greater amounts of magic through his body enhancing himself to a level that was normally impossible.

This allowed Yuuto to reach a level of power comparable to divinity but-

'The only reason I was able to use this ability is because I have avalon-'

Yuuto thought of the scabbard tattoo he had around his wrist, the legendary scabbard of Artoria Pendragon.

It gave him pseudo immortality and allowed him to survive despite all the stress his body was going through.

As the pain set in and he felt his whole body achieve a monstrous level of power, both Lala and Zastin suddenly looked at Yuuto with shocked expressions.

The pressure he excluded rises dramatically making them wonder how he was able to achieve such a thing but before they could think anymore about his change, Yuuto gave Zastin a smirk as he said-

"Well then, take this-"
