"Hello class. This is Itachi Uchiha." The teacher said as he was introduced to his class for the first time. "Please treat your new classmate well."
While the teacher talked about him, he did his best to not stare at the other teenagers in the room. Teenagers that he had seen in a manga but now existed in reality.
It was stunning how close all of them looked to their 2D counterparts.
He could easily recognize Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'er, the Sacred family brat Shen Yue, Du Ze, Lu Piao, the other three hanger ons and last but not the least Nie Li himself.
He took a glance at the MC and noticed that the boy look just like that. An ordinary boy who was bored. He didn't have the eyes of someone who has experienced hundreds of years and was so strong in his prime that he could have destroyed the whole Glory City with a sneeze.
Which either meant that the boy was so good at hiding his emotions that he couldn't read him or that the boy had yet to gain the soul from the future. Anything was possible and he decided to tread carefully.
After all, he might be confident in his abilities but Nie Lie was like the Dumbledore of this world. No. Not Dumbledore. That title would go to the Legend Rank Ye Mo. Nie Lie would be the Nicolas Flamel of this world with hundreds of years of experience.
Someone who knew just about everything and anything under the skies.
It was for a good reason that he was wary of the boy.
He walked back and took a seat at the last row where he could easily observe Nie Li and the other students.
He soon realized that Lu Piao didn't seem very close to Nie Li so this was probably before the soul transmission took place.
Before the story started.
"Hey. New Student. I'm Jin Seng." The OC student that he didn't remember from the story said.
He nodded back "I'm Itachi Uchiha. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
The boy paused before he came closer and whispered "Are you a commoner or an aristocrat? I've never heard of the Uchiha family but you seem to wear very rich clothes."
"I'm a commoner. But my father is a very good businessman so we're quite well off. Why do you ask?"
"Well, you know… the nobles usually look down on us Commoners so we people gotta stick together. So how about this, I'll help you if you help me."
He raised an eyebrow, wondering if this guy realized that he was rich and planned to mooch off of him. Not that he had any problem with having a lackey but he would rather not have a hanger on sticking to him all the while. Then again, he could always mind control the guy to be the perfect minion so there was that. "Sure." He nodded.
"Good. Here." The boy passed him a paper.
He looked at the paper and realized that it was schedule of their class. Something that he missed because he wasn't present in the class for the first day.
He looked through the schedule which was filled with the subject and teacher's name and scrolled down until he came across the name Shen Xiu.
Her class hadn't started to her first class would be tomorrow.
That was probably when the Soul Transmission happened and when the story truly started.
"Thanks." He said to the boy as he folded the paper and put it in his pocket and through there to the Pocket Dimension. "I'll return it to you after copying it."
The boy nodded and was about to say something but was cut off as the teacher started the class. A class on Demon beast that told them about the different beasts found outside the City and how to deal with them.
The teacher drew a pretty decent picture of a human size monkey with four hands which was called Blue Four armed Monkey "This is a species that you'll find in large numbers in the Dark Pillar forest to the South East of the City. The beasts are as strong as an average adult human at their weakest and 5 star Silver Rank at their highest." The teacher explained "The reason they're so dangerous is not because of strength but because of their high numbers. Even the smallest tribe of them has over a hundred monkeys and at the maximum their tribes could encompass thousands of monkeys."
"They're a constant source of problem to the villages that live in that direction and we often need to send a team of Gold or even Black Gold Rank Demon Spiritualists to take care of them so that they won't overwhelm the villages and the towns of the weaker Aristocrat Families."
The teacher went on to explain the history of the Blue Four Armed Monkey and how many people die to their attacks on a yearly basis and despite everything, he found himself sitting on the edge of his seat and absorbing every bit of knowledge that the teacher was imparting on them.
Because despite his expectations, the class was turning out to be quite exciting and was not a bore.
Well, apparently when your life and the life of everyone in the city depends on your education system, you tend to remove complex bullshit like San(t)=(e(ix) - e(-2ix)) that is never used once we graduate from the school.
He hoped that the other classes would be just as useful as this one.
The teacher continued the lesson for another hour before he told them that the next part is practical.
He didn't knew what that meant but going by the uneasy looks in the eyes of some of the students, it wasn't something good.
"Follow me." The teacher said and took all the students out of the class and into a large hall which was mostly empty except for a cage at the corner of the room.
He looked at what was inside the cage and froze.
